However, the level of service and care provided by Vince not only exceeded my expectations--it surpassed most of the luxury car dealerships I've frequented over the years. Their C rating with the BBB confirms they don't care about accountability. I had to wait for a tow, I was so sad and distraught, but it was like the rain stopped and sun shown down when I arrived at fountain tire! For years, Fountain Tire changed my tires until I decided I wanted to learn to do it myself. The owner basically instructed me on everything I needed and how to do it. When I had questions, the staff at Fountain Tire always had advice for me over the phone or if I came in. They check the torque on the lug nuts and the tire pressure for free even though I don't pay them to change my tires any more. Recently I was going to get them to do some work that I thought was necessary (but it was not needed). They literally talked me out of the work even though I asked for the job to be done. I am continually impressed with their commitment to customer service and the fact that they continue to teach me so I can do a perfect job of changing my tires. read more

You see when you purchase your tires from Fountain Tire, there's a "lifetime" free flat repair at any of their locations. Fortunately this tiny location was very nearby when I got a flat. What's unfortunate is that at the time it seems their computer systems are not connected with their other locations. What does this mean? Well for one they couldn't verify that I did indeed purchase my tires at Fountain Tire. So when you purchase you basically have to keep your receipt with your car, just in case. I also thought they said they were the exclusive dealer for these specially made for them tires. Isn't that an indication that I couldn't have gotten them elsewhere, not even online? After some debating back and forth they finally agreed to fix my flat. Alas it took another 2hrs before that actually happened. Overall I'd stick with the guys who work at the Kingsway & Richmond location. At least they're friendly, definitely knowledgeable and much better at the customer service thing. Or maybe the key is to just stick with the location your purchased your tires from. In which case this free flat repair is pretty useless despite being in proximity of another location. read more

After calling a few shops around the area, I had these guys put new tires on my 1990 Delica. They had the best prices, were able to get the exact tires I wanted to the shop that day, were more than happy to answer all my other questions, and they did an overall good job. Good place. Bought a set of tires, all season. They were done in a timely manner. I think they should consider doing an alignment when you purchase tires. But they don't. Instead they tried to up-sell me a brake job. My brakes are at 50% Seemed a bit silly to me. Still, I liked their work and would use them again. read more

Had a flat at 4:30, I called and they said they could take me in before they closed at 5:30. Got there at 5:00. Rushed me through. I feel like a got the run around on the price a bit though. It cost 40 bucks. On the initial print out it said $30. The manager said that because i have a 20inch rim its more expensive because the tire is bigger. I feel like a got a fast one pulled on me there. He should have just put rush job, $10 convenience charge and i would have gladly paid it. However, instead im left with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. With mechanics this is often the case. I bought a online coupon to have a oil change and 30-point inspection done at this Fountain Tire. Overall no issues with the service, I had an appointment setup and I was all done and on my way in about 30-45mins. The inspection was very good as I double checked with my personal mechanic. They also gave me price quotes to fix the issues. I would go back if there was another coupon to buy, as I usually do the oil change myself. read more

I called around to different places to get quotes for new tires and auto service on a few things on my vehicle, then when I called Fountain Tire and spoke with Mucktar, Manager, he was absolutely fantastic and gave us a deal on our tires, as they were not the ones on sale, but he still went beyond to accommodate. I then told him what auto service I needed and he gave me the exact amount, including taxes and labor, and there was no hidden fees. Very poor quality service. Twice burned. I took my Mercedes in a couple of years ago for a complete brake job. I got the car back the next day the brakes were squealing. I had to take it back and they made some excuse why it was making the noise but fixed it correctly. I took my Honda Element into the same place a couple of months back. to check on the brakes as they were making noise. they replaced the brakes pads but said the rotors were fine. Sure enough there was a squeal. I called them back and they said I needed to book an appointment. I got a spot a few weeks later along with switching my car to snow tires. They swapped my tires but said they could not hear the brake noise. I'm pretty sure they were so busy they didn't even spend the time to take my car for a test drive to determine the noise. Within 5 minutes my brakes were squealing. I email them but waited a few weeks not response. Will be taking my car to a proper auto repair shop that can fix a car properly the first time. read more

Few days ago called Fountain Tire asking for the price for oil change. He told me "$49.95 including tax". Went there today & and in person asked the asian guy how much for oil change, he told me again "49.95 including tax". After the work was done he gave me a bill of a little over $62. There were extra charges for environmental fee, service supply charge, and hst! I asked him about the price differences and he said no he never told me the hst was included, and he would never say that. That place is a scam or at least the asian guy was. Anyway got ripped off by that place there. That asian guy flat out lied, he wasn't upfront with the actual price. I never had to pay so much just for a simple oil change ever! Calgary Fountain Tire on 37th Street SW One of the biggest disappointments of the year. I went into this location to get a tire repaired and in turn they did the repair in two hours...two weeks later the tire need to be repaired again so I stop by and they had no time to do the tire that day and in turn I could not make an appointment - so I come back and they said they would look at it - 6 hours later - still waiting for my tire. I would expect that since they did not repair the tire properly in the first place I should not have to wait for six hours for them to re-do their original work. I took my truck for wheel alignment, I came back with traction control lights on, at first they asked if the light was on before which obviously wasn't, then they managed to turn it off and hand the truck back to me, but now the light is back on and even wheels still not aligned, truck pulls to one side, they said I have to purchase 4 new tires to be able to fix it and not pull to the side,my tires were 5 month old, I will not recommend anybody going there. read more

I did a fair amount of research to find the best bang for my buck for new tires for my 2003 Accord. Fountain is having their 4 for 3 deal and Goodyear is also offering a rebate so the price paid for the tires I wanted was pretty darn good. I went to the Fountain website and got an all-in quote. I emailed them a week in advance telling them that I was interested in booking an appointment with exactly what I wanted. I received an email from the Store Manager with an appointment time that matched up with my request. I encountered two of the staff (one technician and one from the office) and both were friendly and attentive. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't receive a call mid-service to say that I could do for additional services like an oil change or brake job. I received a call 67 minutes after the beginning of my appointment saying my car was ready to go. My first experience with Fountain was a very good one and it won't likely be my last. read more

My front tire was flat so I called and just asked the guy what I should do. He was really friendly and said I could bring it in right away and they would look at it. So after putting my spare on- which also turned out to be flat- I had to get my room mate to drive me there with both tires. I have very little vehicle knowledge and am always wary of shops being able to take advantage of me, but I handed over the tires (after he advised me it would be expensive if i had to replace the donut) and he said it would take about an hour. Went home and not half an hour later he called and said they were ready. It may have just been a slow day but they were able to work on it right away. Not only did they call me as soon as they were done but when I showed up to pay he told me 'not to worry about it' because they just found a small leak in my tire and sealed it, and the donut had just lost air because it was old so they filled it. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and the whole process was done efficiently. read more

When trying to get to YVR to catch a flight, I was near this location when my car started overheating and steaming. I realized I probably wasn't going to make it to the airport and pulled into this location for some help. I was already running late and was worried that I would miss my flight. When I pulled in, I was greated right away by the manager. I was rather flustered and explained the situation to him. Right away, he had a technician pull my car in to check it out. As it turned out, the problem was quickly diagnosed but unfortunately, my flight was leaving inside the hour and there was no way the repair would be completed that quickly. Within minutes, arrangements had been made to get me to the airport and ensure that my car would be repaired by the time I returned from my short trip. Not only did they get me there in time, but they picked me up from the airport upon my return. Admittedly, I don't know much about cars and at that point I would have accepted anything they told me. Imagine my surprise when I get back to the shop and the invoice for repairs was less than the original estimate. I was absolutely overwhelmed by the way in which this situation was handled. I have never had such a positive experience when dealing with car repair problems. This place does it all. Myself and my husband now go here for all our car problems or needs. I have also recommended this facility to all my friends and workmates. I have finally found a mechanical shop that treats me how I wish others had in the past. read more
