I told them not to worry about the brakes just do quote on exhaust. Desk person said time is money and then went to the back and yelled for my keys. He gave back my keys and when I asked about the quote for my exhaust he just said time is money and wouldn't do the quote. Wasted 1 hour there, appointment was made for the exhaust. Left with nothing. Yeah time is money, my time was wasted maybe they should pay me their shop rate for my time. Very rude

AVOID MIDAS MCPHILLIPS! Our regular mechanic just fixed the…read morenecessary issues in our car, but he doesn't do wheel alignment so I took it to Midas McPhillips. A wheel alignment is all I needed to be done. I drop it off and when I came back to pick it up, front desk (James) enumerated $800+ worth of other repairs - or I can just opt for $300+ that I apparently need to get the wheel aligned. I declined so nothing was done, wasted few hours and was charged $80+ for it. Now, they can argue with all their technical terms that those things were required to get the work I asked to be done. I'm not car or mechanic savvy, but I know that we had the most pressing issues fixed so that the vehicle can be used, and the wheel alignment was to correct the pull as a result of that recent repair. The $800 invoice included, bulb color replacement, wiper blades, tie rod (that was just replaced), among others. When I was told I needed to replace the item I just got repaired, I realized I'm being scammed. They even sent a link to the "diagnosis" which was very inconsistent with the invoice I have- this one talked about tires being a problem now but the wipers and lights are fine. It's getting hard nowadays to find an honest shop, that will not upsell you or rip you off and there are still some out there, but NOT this one. They did not deserve the fees I paid.

Giving one star because I cant give negative 100 . Firstly…read morethe left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing at this company. The customer service is highly either suspect or not trained. You can't get estimates for general maintenance on theyre website ( oil changes, filter changes etc ). So on my experience in called for oil change on my particular vehicle ( passenger car ) if I brought my own oil and and was given a range $25 to $35. Great so i take it there and once done boom $79. At that point cant.do anything so the next day I called again. Just to ask again same info , and sane range given $25 to $35. So I called head office and wrote a email complaint as well attached with my receipt. Basically this company circled theyre wagons, basically called me for lying and blew me off. So here you are folks cat fishing at its ugly incarnation. There are lots of independent shops in town many with HONEST proprietors you dont need to deal with a corporate fraud. And thats exactly what Great Canadian oil change is. Should be called Great Canadian Scam

I would never suggest anyone to go here. They changed my oil and let me leave with a peace of mind that everything was good. A day later my car was making weird noises, my dad checked and all the oil leaked out of my car. We contacted them and they scheduled to come on Feb 19 to re-do the oil. They couldn't figure out why my oil was leaking and said I had a might have broken head gasket and to take it to Volkwagen to get it serviced as it was still leaking. I got it to Volswagen and they found that Real Canadian Oil Change did not put a sealing washer which is required everytime you change the oil and was the reason why the oil was leaking, no broken head gasket either. They mention my engine is now damaged due to lack of oil lubrication, I let Real Canadian Oil Change know that they forgot to add a sealing washer, Real Canadian Oil Change on McPhillips then claimed my car was heavily leaking oil at the appointment "which they DID NOT inform me on while getting serviced" now I am in the process of seeking legal advice due to Real Canadian Oil Change on McPhillips denying their simple mistake. I'm a single mother of one with another baby on the way working FULL-TIME, and currently paying ppl to drive me to work and to doctor's appointments, the stress this has caused me has been very significant. I'm still currently paying my insurance and car payments while my car is sitting because I can't afford to pay 6000$ for a used engine or 9000$ for a new engine due to the damage from lack of oil lubrication. My car was driving perfectly until the day I took it to Real Canadian and has been undrivable since the 19th of February. Yet they claim my car was leaking heavily before the appointment. Based on the report that Volkswagen provided I gave Real Canadian Oil Change proof that Volkswagen said they didn't add a sealing washer and they're still not trying to resolve for pay for the issues that they've caused. I've been professional in contacting them and I'm just very frustrated and stressed since this has happened and they don't care.

We have had multiple issues with RideTime, of which we have received no response to any of them…read more When the car was delivered to us it was missing the front plate bracket. According to the CarProof the car was only ever registered in Manitoba so the part was obviously not placed back on the vehicle during the safety inspection or detailing. We were to pay from our own pocket in order to mount a front license plate as six months later we have received no response from RideTime on this issue. The car was purchased from our home five hundred kilometers from Winnipeg. Nowhere in any of our communications with RideTime did they bother to mention that it only included one key. Six months later we have received no response from RideTime on this issue. The sales representative we dealt with was obviously very inexperienced and quite inept. She stated the auto finance company was called "Auto Finance" when it turned out to be Scotia Bank. She couldn't answer any questions and always had to consult someone else. She also managed to mess up our insurance forms which were mailed to us. Luckily the insurance broker accepted them anyway or we would have had to have them couriered again to register the vehicle. Six months later we have received no response from RideTime on these issues. My wife was visiting Winnipeg in three weeks from the date of purchase yet we were pressured to take delivery of the vehicle in advance of this date. Once we agreed to take delivery they made my wife's sister come to the dealer to pick it up while their website states: "How you drive away in your dream car is completely up to you! We'll deliver your car straight to your driveway, whether you're just down the street in Winnipeg or anywhere in Canada or the United States", we were told by one of the owner's (Andrew) that the service department was "humming" and that they had multiple staff out with "sinus infections" and couldn't be bothered to deliver a vehicle to Fort Garry twenty minutes away (let alone anywhere in Canada or the US). Andrew was routinely rude to both of us after we refused to buy overpriced Gap protection for our vehicle. Gap protection is priced at $1,000 and would cover the difference in the amount owing on a loan if the vehicle were to be in an accident. I pay $180 a year for insurance on my home's possessions with coverage up to $35,000. How is a $1000 policy for a car purchased at $13,500 a good value when MPI states less than 1% of cars on the road are in an accident every year (let alone the unknown stat of how many are written off?). The car's exterior wasn't cleaned for delivery when it was picked up. It's now six months later and we have received no response from RideTime on any of these issues. Once the car reached us in Swan River there was a random part from another car in the back seat. The sales representative had no explanation for what it was. Four months after taking delivery we went to get the tires serviced and realized we had no key to unlock the bolts on the tires when the tire shop informed us that it wasn't in the vehicle. We called RideTime about this issue and much to no one's surprise they were completely unhelpful and never responded. The tire shop had to break the bolts and we had to replace them at our own expense. My wife's review has been up on Facebook for months and we have received no communication. It's clear this company is great to deal with when a sale goes right but are completely unhelpful when anything goes wrong. We aren't difficult people to please, a simple apology would have gone a long way for the majority of our issues (and save them our reviews) but we have heard nothing. While their website states "We promise to delight you every step of the way--so if you can think of anything to make your experience better, please let us know.", we have routinely attempted communication with them to rectify these issues but have received absolutely nothing in return. It's obvious this statement and ones like it are simply marketing gimmicks and RideTime has no concern for their customers should they have any issues.

I wrote an email to…read morethe local shop I went to on St. James in Winnipeg and to the head office and received no response. This was my email: I was advised that we needed new transmission fluid, which I knew coming in, but we were not given any options or information on this, they just went ahead in put it in and let us know after. The screen I was shown by your technician showed me the price would be around $120, but I was charged $249 for this. I was also advised that I would need new tired immediately and a wheel alignment as the tread on my tires (which are only 3 years old) were "completely worn out on the inside". After a second opinion from another company, I was advised that our tires are in great shape and a wheel alignment is not necessary. This is frustrating. I was also told an air filter was needed, so I agreed. The price for a new filter seemed quite high, but I didn't know, so I agreed. My husband pulled it out to inspect it at home after and we found it was completely damaged on one side, you can see right through it. Also it was not properly sealed. The seal around the filter was completely off the track and it didn't sit in place properly. He also found TOOLS left under the hood when I returned home. Such sloppy work. I'm extremely disappointed as I feel that I was completely mislead and I was taken advantage of. We now need to replace the filter that we JUST purchased from you and had to spend additional funds getting a second opinion about our tires that are in perfect condition. Please do your research before going to this place!!
