Can't recommend this place enough. I have 2 year old and a 7 month old that have been enrolled since they were both 3 months old. They treat my kids as if they were their own and genuinely care about their well being. They do a variety of activities outside, arts and crafts and expose them to a variety of foods instead of having the same meals every day. They update you through the app for every time they change their diaper, every meal they eat and every nap they take. They also upload lots of pictures and videos throughout the day which makes it that much better to see the little ones! My only complaint is the price which is fairly expensive but I guess you can't put a price on quality care of your child and knowing they are in safe hands. read more

My 20 month old comes here and has been since 9 months old, w/ the exception of a small break. I couldn't be happier with having chosen this location. Everytime i go pick him up, other teachers who aren't his teacher say hi to him and call him by name... i think it shows what a good , close knit intertwined community they have there... they seem to all know all of the kids. Its really sweet. When we took a break... teachers are still remembered him when we came back. I absolutely adore the pictures they take and send on the kinder app. I look forward to them so much during my work day and it brightens my shift so much. They're always incredibly responsive when i send messages on the app also. We had a spot open up at my husband's job's onsite daycare that we had waited for for a long time and ended up declining it because we could see how much the consistent caregivers and community my son has gotten used to there was important to us and my son's development. Of the ~10 daycares I called, this one is the most expensive around the area. Unfortunately, the price doesn't match the quality. 2 bite marks on the same day, not even 1 hour apart by the same kid. I was not notified until AFTER the 2nd bite and lost part of a day at work but would've come even sooner had I been told after the 1st bite. It was her very last day after being here for only 7 weeks total. 1 bite is understandable, this is unacceptable. About 3 months later, and both marks can still faintly be seen. Not yet even 1.5 years old at the time, she had to take antibiotics in addition to an ointment- both prescribed by her pediatrician. The director Dianne's response to that was, "it didn't break the skin", the teacher to student ratio is 4:1, not 1:1, and that the kid is new. Due to a list of reasons we weren't happy with the daycare, I had already put in the final 2 week notice in compliance to the daycare's policy, which I had asked for in writing and still never received. Again, no leniency was shown and it was never given to me in writing when I asked, after being told when I was unemployed as a single mom for 2 weeks that the charge would be the same even if she didn't come (I was still planning to send her for 1 week). It wasn't until this very last day when the 2 bite incidents took place, that they let me know I had overpaid. The first 2 checks were already withdrawn from my bank account and it took more than 2 months for my refund, after I had to call to remind them once it had reached ~1.5 months. read more

Look I'm not the type of person to leave reviews but I figured with how much I was paying they'd at least change my daughter if she got dirty. She's was 10 months in the toddler room because she was a little advanced for her age. I provided the bid and extra clothes and her blanket ( which I never got back after I took her out I've called multiple times and they just hang up the blanket wasn't the one we brought her home in it has value to it) and she would be returned with literally black marks on her knees? If I'm paying 480 dollars a WEEK they can change her. I gave them the bids and they didn't use them at all she came home with stains all over her clothes. There's kids that are obviously sick and they still let them stay. They are coughing, my daughter got croup from there and she had to be hospitalized because of it. I took her back after I got the okay from her doctor and literally the first day back she got a fever and she was returned with wet socks and shoes that she was still wearing, she also got oral thrush at this day care. Overall I'm not happy with this experience she's my only child and literally the love of my life. How can you they be so okay with returned my child dirty with wet socks and shoe to me when I provided extra clothes socks and shoes. The 2 stars is just because they send you update from their app which is comforting. But that's literally it. I'd only recommend putting your child her if they are already very independent and have a strong immune system. I really just want my daughter blanket back. Both of our children have been enrolled at FV kindercare. Our oldest attended from age 1-5 until she transitioned to TK at the elementary school. She had a great experience over the years, made solid friendships, and learned a ton. Our youngest attends now and is in the toddler room. They both love their teachers, the food provided, the activities and especially the outside time. Yes, there are occasional incidents that occur at any daycare (bites, getting sick frequently), but that is the nature of this type of childcare setting. As parents we feel very comfortable with our kids being at this center, which is the most important thing. The director team is great. Highly recommend! read more

FV Kindercare was my son's first daycare experience and I'm happy to say it was a pleasant one. He was in the toddler classroom at 1, which was a bit scary at first, but he adjusted really well. As he grew within the class, it was obvious he was learning so much. He would come home with new words, art, animal sounds and so much more. I love their activities. Some of the teachers are extra loving (Ms Sol was my son's favorite, but shoutout to Ms Lanie, MoMo, Kristen, Nicki and all others). Everyone always had a smile on their face, even when you can see they're having a tough day with the kiddos. The place has a warm feel to it because of how the teachers take the time to greet and interact with each kiddo when they see them. I've dropped in randomly and seen people holding my son and comforting him, which is exactly the type of environment I want for him. They are really compassionate and understanding and don't nickel and dime you if you forget a diaper or wipes or supplies. They are very accommodating to the child's needs and I always felt my son was safe here. Every daycare has their issues, but this one had nothing that made me second-guess placing him here. I was candid with the director when I had suggestions and Ms Diane was very straightforward back with me. It is clear they like their jobs and are qualified to do them, which is so important! My kiddo is at a different daycare now due to a change in my work commute, but I will forever hold a place in my heart for FV Kindercare for making my son's transition into daycare so easy. read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this KinderCare! All teachers, all faculty are so kind, gentle, caring, and loving. I have 4 children that go here. Their classes have ranged from infant-school age. Each class my children have been a part of has been great. Even my youngest who is now in the toddler classroom loves being there. She may get messy from time to time from all the fun activities they do like painting or playing outside, she is a young child who is learning and encouraged to explore, doing what little ones do. She gets changed and properly cleaned throughout the day. Just like most kids who attend any type of daycare or school, kids get sick however, you are notified immediately if another child or yours is sick in the classroom and/or if your kiddo needs to be picked up. The kids need to be clear of any symptoms before coming back which I appreciate. The teachers from the toddler classroom are so sweet, understanding and patient with her and the kids, makes me feel comfortable and worry free throughout the day. I have never had any issues with this facility and my kids love coming here! This is a second home for my family and everyone here is to thank for that. read more

This center was my son's first school. Loved all the teachers and the director Miss Diane, until recently when half the staff left and a new director was brought in. Although some of my son's core teachers were there and awesome, having new teachers that seemed to not know what they're doing and/or needing more hands on with kids with different personalities were needed. Make sure if your child goes there, to keep documents of what's going on, get everything in writing because the director Veronica will say one thing, the next day her assistant Rebecca will tell you something different. I know from experience. My son loved his teachers but after so much back and forth, one can only hope more training would be available as well as install cameras because incident reports i would get never provided the complete store, just a he-said, she-said or assumptions made about what happened. teachers didnt always catch the whole incident, just what part they say. read more

I had to last second find child care for my daughter a week before my college semester started since I was on the wait list for another child care that I'm still wait listed on! Kindercare took us in and it was a very easy process. Took a lot of stress off my plate knowing my daughter was going into a great child care facility. My daughter loves it here at kindercare she is always so excited when we walk in she loves the food they feed her and I can tell she's learning stuff at school. She comes home and does new things and says new things. Her class teachers are very friendly and caring. I like that we write papers to give specific info for the day, like if she needs diaper cream or if she needed milk etc, and it's nice to read what she ate and when she was changed and what she did that day, it's very engaging. I would recommend a kinder care facility to any of my fellow moms. I feel very confident in leaving my child in their care, my first concern when starting day care is that she wouldn't like it and cry, but she is happy to go in and thrives here and learns a lot! read more

This center is wonderful! The teachers are very dedicated to the children. They serve babies and children up to 12. The children are divided up into rooms based on age, which is great for safety as well as learning. Each room has everything at eye level for the children, which is very nice. The rooms are very bright and cheerful. The facility has great security, with a key code entry for parents to drop off the children. The parents are welcome to see what is going on with their care by looking into a viewing window and speaking to the staff. I would absolutely send my child here, if I had one that is. This school is such an amazing school. I have had my son here for the last 7 months and he just loves it. I love all the teachers and you can see the children love them as well. I am so pleased with all they have done to protect the children since covid started. The director Ms. Dianne is out in front of the school each day to take greet the children as well as take their temps and do a health check before taking them into their classrooms. although I wish I could take him to his class every morning , my son has handled it like a champ and says goodbye with a big smile as he walks in. The staff is so great with each child's needs as well as us parents. They have a wonderful app that helps us stay connected to whats going on in the classroom and pictures and videos as well. Love this place. My son started in the toddler room and switched to the 2y.o room after. The teachers and staff are very caring and that's what counts for us. I was in need of temporary childcare as I have no family nearby and I needed to complete an internship for school. They made it easy for me to register him to fit my school schedule. He was always happy whenever i picked him up. Did he get sick? Yes, maybe like once or twice, that's expected. I want to thank KinderCare for amazing 2 1/2 years. This team truly loves the kids. Because of them my child is ready for Kindergarten. As a first time new parent the thought of putting my child in school was so scary. They walked me through the whole transition and never left my side. They are approachable and always available. Our kids have been going here since 6 months old, and are currently 2.5 and 4.5. They LOVE it here and look forward to returning every Monday. The teachers are wonderful and the center director keeps the center focused on the kids learning and being comfortable and happy. We love the optional classes, as well. I was searching for a preschool for my son in December 2017 then I came across this particular kindercare. So I called in and scheduled for an appointment to go get more information about the school, as I just walked in my first impression was Dirty; the floors in the waiting area and the visitors bathroom where so dirty that I was so disgusted despite it being 9am. The director came, took us for a tour in the classroom. Everything just seemed disorganized and not forgetting they had the wrong year written on the board for the kids. The kids' bathroom where so filthy. I watched one of the kids use the bathroom while the door was wide open and the teacher didn't care to remind him to wash his hands nor close the bathroom when using it. The director explained the school schedule and curriculum to us but my mind was already out of it all. read more

The only reason we are giving 1 star is because it is not an option to give 0 or negative stars. We apologize for the lengthiness of this review but there is a lot to be said. Our child has always been very healthy but ever since attending Fountain Valley Kindercare our child has come home habitually sick and injured. Our child has come home with bruises from being bitten, lumps and bruises on the forehead from being hit in the face with rocks, had gaping wounds on knees and elbows, just to name a few of the school injuries. We have arrived to find our child's mouth full of small beads and buttons. This is a huge choking risk for a small child. It's as if there is no supervision going on there. We were informed when he first enrolled that sick children are sent home and not allowed to attend. Almost everyday when we drop off or pick up our child we see children with wet coughs and runny/crusty noses. Our child attended FV Kindercare for 4 months and came home sick on a weekly basis. My husband and I have had to miss work on several occasions, as well, due to the multiple illnesses that we contracted from Kindercare. When our child gets sick then we do as well. I can honestly say he was well for one single week during this 4 month period. The continuous colds eventually developed into a double ear infection. Our child's first ear infection ever and had to take a course of antibiotics for the first time ever in his life. Then recently, our child contracted hand, foot, & mouth disease from Kindercare. We decided that the health of our child was more important than anything and this school was not conducive with a healthy lifestyle. We dis-enrolled at this point. When we informed the director, Heather Cross, of the situation She told us that it was the first case of hand, foot and mouth in the center. When we arrived the next day to pick up our child's things we were informed by a teacher that there had been another prior case. There was a letter on the front door informing other parents that everything had been double sanitized. Yet all the children's blankets and pillows were not sent home or bagged up. Instead we found our child's blanket and pillow together with other children's blankets and pillows How can that be double sanitized? This is the kind of negligent behavior that needs to stop. Other than illnesses/injuries the school also has the following problems: 1. It is directly next to a major gas station. Other than the obvious health concerns of gasoline fumes alone, underground gas tanks are known to leach into the ground and poison both the soil and the water supply in the area. 2. There is absolutely no protection (e.g. concrete pilings or steel) from an out of control vehicle going through the front of the facility hurting and or killing children. 3. There is no security guard on hand to ensure the safety of your children. Our child has easily opened any and all doors, which leads directly to a very busy 45 mph street next to an intersection. The only alarm that sounds is when you enter the facility to warn everyone that a parent is entering. Nothing alarms upon leaving. There is nothing to stop a child from just walking out and the ratio of children per teacher is 12 to 1. There is just not enough supervision. 4. There is no nurse on hand to ensure the health and welfare of the children entering the facility. There is no policing of illnesses or children being sent home due to illness. You can leave your sick child there to spread their germs with no questions asked. Also not having a nurse on hand to deal with injuries or first response emergencies is life threatening. 5. As for our experience with the teachers, we will only mention one. Miss Liz is in charge of the 3 yr old classroom. People who work with small children need to have patience and understanding. Miss Liz should not be working with children. We have personally witnessed her being mean to our child on several occasions when we arrived and she hadn't yet realized we were there. As well, when searching for a school we were looking for a muse for our son. Miss Liz, being covered in tattoos is no muse. Instead of covering them up she flaunts them. These teachers are influencing our children. During our child's most influential years, where their brains grow faster than any other time in their life. This is when they are most open to suggestion. Our child has since come home covered in finger paints, precisely in the areas of the body, emulating Miss Liz's tattoos. Stating "it's like Miss Liz". This is because children imitate what they see. "THESE ARE OUR CHILDREN. THE ARE OUR MOST PRIZED POSSESSION AND THEY DESERVE BETTER! read more

My son started attending this day care at 9months old. I went to over 25 day cares in the fountain valley and Irvine area. When I walked in I knew this was perfect for us. From the moment the director welcomed us to the spacious classrooms to the cleanliness of the place... I knew my son would be in a great place. I was currently still breastfeeding and they said they would help me switch my son over to the bottle. My son was very attached to me and it was hard for him with out me. The teachers where so patient and loving that a couple weeks later he couldn't wait to get to school. I am so grateful to have found this day care and the instant we move back to Orange County we are going back. read more

We have been going to this Kindercare for about 7 months now and really like it. The center director, Heather, is great. She is not only approachable, but she is very hands on with the kids, so frequently you will find her in a classroom with the children. I love both my daughters teachers--they are warm and caring as well as great with my kids. It is also great that breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided (they even accomodate vegetarian diets). This center is such a wonderful daycare. The Director, Assistant Director and teachers are great, the programs and curriculum are amazing and the facility is really clean. The Directors and teachers are caring, nurturing, and warm. Theres constant communication between the children and parents. When my child had issues, not only did they inform us but they also worked with us to help our child. The Director or Assistant Director is always available till closing if you ever need any advice or to address any issues or concerns. The teachers are always interacting with the children instead of just sitting around watching them. Besides their great curriculum they also offer phonics, math, reading and Spanish as part of their enrichment programs. My child has learned so much from the phonics programs that its unbelievable. Lastly, this center makes you feel like its your 2nd home. The exterior and interior are well maintained. You will not see any marks on their white doors and trash cans. The playground is free from debris. As you step into this center, you'll feel the warmth of the nice decor and see pictures of all the children around the center. Another plus is that they provide nutritional and generous portions of breakfast, lunch and snacks. The children here sleeps on cots during nap time instead of those thin flimsy mats. Since we had to move, we assumed all daycares were comparable to the Fountain Valley location. The answer is No. Unfortunately, not all KinderCare's and other daycares are even comparable to the quality of this location. Fountain Valley KinderCare should definitely be a role model to all the daycare facilities. read more
