How does this even make sense? a friend of mine who lives alone in a 1 bedroom is rarely home & never uses her utilities unless absolutely necessary. Her 1st bill was $90 (still high). Her 2nd bill was $180... she hadnt done a thing different. i think starkville utilities is ripping people off. I think there is some kind of scam going on.

I have never seen such high prices for service. If the AC broke, which was often in MS heat, the utilities would skyrocket even more. Expect to add close to $200 a month to your rent for utilities. Absolutely ridiculous, and customer service never had a valid answer for why this was the case.

Although Starkville utilities doesn't have it all together, Clayton Village Water is a whole different level of bootleg. I mean honestly! They don't even take phone payments. Somehow I missed paying this bill. It was news to me. My payment two weeks late. Rather than a notification of some sort, they came out and cut off my water. I have my elderly mother and brain injured son living with me. Water is very important to their care. I had to go out their office. They wouldn't take a payment by phone and then pay for a $40 reconnection fee. What a scam!!!! It would be so much better to give a customer a one month grace period and have the missed payment on the next bill with a late fee instead of causing so much grief. I understand cutting off water if you miss several payments, but two weeks? Highway robbery.

Sandy answered and was very thorough in getting the information needed to get the job approved by Orman. I called back later, and a very nice and pleasant woman, Jade answered she located Sandy and he told me to bring the trailer in and they will fix it up. The next day it was finished and I was very impressed at how well they fabricated the new hitch mount. With lots of concern for safety and future maintenance. Quality was great. Was on the road the next day heading to Tennessee with peace of mind and a much better than expected trailer hitch. 5 stars are not enough!

I never signed up for these additional things and I'm being forced to pay them? Nobody in the office can explain to me what these additional charges are and to make matters worse I am on social security and I receive my check on the 3rd of every month my bill is due on 26th of every month which means they charge me ridiculously high late charges I have pleaded with these people to change the due date to avoid these high late fees and they claim that they can't?
