It's right around the corner from our house so we walked. We loved the vibe as soon as we walked in and everybody was pretty friendly. The bad: the bugs. Fruit flies everywhere. I had to ask for a menu back because I had to be able to swap them away. It was seriously that bad. I asked our Server if they could do anything about it and the response was to move outside. It was already a humid day, and the bugs were outside as well so that was a no win situation. The bugs were constantly flying in our faces and around our drinks and food. The food was really good but the service was poor. Everything took way too long. And again while everybody was pretty friendly, that was no excuse for the slow service. We ordered the chips and salsa appetizer and it came with not enough chips for four people. We asked our server for more chips and it took 20 minutes for the chips to come out. It was so long that we had our main entries in front already. I told the Server there was no need because now we had our food. We just got a weird look and she walked away. It took us two hours to eat our meal because of the slow service. That being said, we won't return. The flying bugs were the main problem, the service secondary.

Stop to sample everything or grab a cocktail! It feels like a speakeasy because it's in a dark, cool, little basement, and the decor sports hand-hewn beams and original sandstone block walls. The owners are personable and proud of their work: ALL ingredients are local, local, local! They were more than willing to take people on a tour! You can even rent out the place for events too. We never even knew this place existed, it's tucked back in the corner of small office-type plaza. It's very unassuming. Inside, it's so neat and comfortable. We were immediately greeted by Brad who was cool and friendly and very knowledgeable about their product- vodka. He gave us our passports and let us know that BKO was actually a cofounder of the NODP. We received a rundown of the vodka making process and samples of the product- which was so good and so smooth. I've never had a vodka that you could just drink and enjoy. Brad was so darn friendly. Also, BKO offers tours and we can't wait to come back and do one. I would highly recommend checking out this place and their vodka. Such an incredibly cool place for little Medina, Ohio to have.

The tour is so informative and it was shocking to see behind the curtain of their operations. Randy was so cool and so knowledgeable. We had a great time touring their facility and learning about what they do and how they do it. West Branch takes such pride in their local ingredients and their process. So glad that we made this visit. Their spirits are also fantastic and a tasting is included with the tour. Otherwise a tasting of 4 samples is only $2. I'd recommend this place to anyone. They have an outside patio and a loft upstairs so lots of seats. They have specialty cocktails with all their liquor's and you can always just order something like a vodka tonic or rum and coke.
