I have really enjoyed coming to Four Five Six either before or after a show at Brooklyn Steel. When you walk up to Four Five Six, the first thing you notice is the lot size, filled with a hodge podge of chairs, tables and even some couches in the back. It honestly looks like a bunch of artists and hipsters took over a beer garden but I like it. When you walk into the actual bar area where you have to order your drink, there is a ton of interesting and eclectic art on the wall, as well as some really amazing mural work. The bar itself is pretty small and manned by 2 bartenders. There is also a stage area for live music on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The drink menu is reasonably priced and you can get a glass of wine for $8 and a beer for $7. Their cocktails are $12. For something spicy, I would get the Green Chile Margarita, which I really enjoyed the one time I got it. For something refreshing, I got the Aperol Spritz. For food, you actually have to go to a separate restaurant area that is connected to the bar. They do have some nice outdoor seating. Service was extremely slow. Even worse, they allow smoking outside. Gross and irresponsible. Even though there were children, babies, dogs, and other innocent people breathing around, others were still smoking. I asked a bartender to tell them to stop and she refused. read more

Walked in and it was packed. Fiancé and I decided order from bar and then sit down. We ordered from the owner, Howard. What an amazing guy! He was so proud of the beautiful establishment he created and made us feel right at home. Bought us a round of shots on him and then showed us to a cool, Brooklyn esque section of seating. It was a lovely experience after dealing with the entirety of Williamsburg. I highly recommend. A homey, happy, lovely place all due to the owners of this great place! Great place if you are planning on pregaming before a Brooklyn Steel show!! I went to the Jim James show last Sunday with a group of friends and we were all blown away. Great food and drinks(was not surprised when I found out it was part of one of my favorite restaurants in BK, Ringolevio), friendly staff and cool vibes. This place has an amazing indoor/outdoor flow. Took my girlfriend there and it was an instant hit. Service is a bit questionable (as in slow) but it's Covid, so considering it's fine. The true definition of a hidden gem!!! Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a large group for a birthday gathering. What first caught my eye was the artsy vibe, dim lighting and layout of the bar. There's a beautiful inside part with upholstered chairs, couches, tables and chairs at the bar. The outdoor area is big with hipster style artwork and equipped with seating for large groups or for a more intimate setting. The employees there are top notch and even helped us set up the birthday cake by getting us candles for the cake. The drink selection is pretty good with wines, two beers on tap, bottled beer and specialty cocktails. I had some wine, beer and also the fritz cocktail which was pretty good. Didn't get to try any of the food but I wouldn't be opposed to coming back to try some. I'm a fan of this bar and although it's a hike for me to get to, I would definitely come back here just to enjoy the atmosphere, food and overall experience that four five six has to offer. read more

Grabbed a cocktail at Four Five Six on Friday night. Very cool space, but I was extremely disappointed in my cocktails. Probably better to stick with basic drinks when visiting. Quality: The cocktail list sounded great, but neither drink I tried was very good. I ordered a Green Chile Margarita, which had tequila, green chile, cointreau, and lime. Heavy on citrus, light on spicy, it was not what I hoped for. My friend ordered the Lavendula, with lavender infused vodka, grapefruit, and honey. It was not something I would order for myself, but the one sip I had me searching for anything else to remove the flowery taste. Quantity: Decent pours for the Cocktails I tried. Value: $13-$14 for Cocktails. Ambiance: Four Five Six is a funky cocktail bar located in the East Williamsburg area of Brooklyn. They have a good sized outdoor patio, which would be perfect for summer months, but not so great on a rainy winter evening. Inside the space is warm and inviting. They have a small bar area and then a bunch of comfortable couches and chairs. The walls are covered with art, candles, lights, and plants. The jazzy music playing over the speakers matched the vibe perfectly. Crowd: We arrived right after they opened and were the only guests. It seemed like a place that functions more as a late night lounge. Service: Friendly and attentive bartender, but neither drink I tried was very good. Not sure if it was the mixing or the design. Went out with my friends to have a girls night . Ordered drinks and appetizers, which were good. When the bill came i decided to pick up the tab on my credit card . My friend left a cash tip for our server . The next day i saw the charges on my credit card , the following day the charge on my card increased . The restaurant had added a 20% tip to my credit card without my permission . So they were tipped with cash and fraudulently added a tip on my credit card as well. We had an unfortunate experience at fourfivesix/ringolevio tonight. My husband and our other couple friends came here for dinner before a show at Brooklyn steel and had multiple issues with our meals. I got the spinach ravioli with arrabiata sauce and it was fine. Pasta was clearly homemade and sauce was spicy and flavorful but I personally have made better fresh pasta in my home. My husband got the lamb skewers which were really kebobs with peppers and onions, and his lamb was raw. Our other friend also got the kabobs and while his were cooked, they were still cold and chewy. Both also commented that the meat was terribly under seasoned and had no flavor. He also got the roasted beets for a side and they came cold and looking like they were boiled or from a can or something. Both my husband and our friend sent back the lamb and beets and they gave my husband a brand new dish which was better and they heated up the beets but they were still no where near what you think roasted beets would be. Our other friend got the mushroom pasta and said it was fine but lacked flavor and she also got the broccoli rabe side which was essentially frozen chopped broccoli boiled in a pot of water and served. Not any thing resembling broccoli rabe like you would expect. It's very rare any of us have sent things back but this was just a huge disappointment and lack of quality control on their dishes. The ambience was also unpleasant and it was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talking with all of the other patrons who were literally yelling to one another. Our server however was very nice and accommodating and they comped our entire meal and we only paid for our drinks (which were standard and fine). Obviously it wasn't his fault that the food was not cooked properly but in no way do we recommend coming here for dinner. Maybe for drinks as they had a nice patio area but not food. read more

Petty bartenders don't bother coming. The food is very bland. You can go home and make the same ramen noodles with olive oil and no seasoning for less than a dollar. They made a big deal about the kitchen closing last night although the food takes less than ten minutes to make. The beef tagliatelle tastes like lunch food or canned beef l. I would just like to start by saying that this is one of my favorite bars I've ever been to. Because I was staying in the area to see Phish December 28-31 of 2017, we utilized this bar on every capacity possible. It was beyond frigid and we were so thankful to have this so close; we essentially used it as our living room. What a living room it was! Excellent ambiance inside and out, cool, thoughtful art, excellent brunch and drinks and the staff- oh my goodness the staff. Since we stayed for 5 days, the 7 of us were so thankful to have such an amazing place to hang out- amazing music and some of the best folks you could ever happen to encounter in any establishment. We all became friends and there simply wasn't another option of a place to go when we needed brunch, a quick beer/cocktail before heading into the city for the shows at Madison Square garden, or a night cap before bed. We first met Shy, a great server and super kind person as well as Lola and Lim. They were all soooooo great, and I love all three of them! We soon got to know Andrew and Ryan as well as the owner Paul. They were all great- No complaints on our 5 days of being there. Paul has cultivated an amazing space which i will return to anytime I'm in the area. And let's not forget Al at the door at night- he greeted me by name and welcomed me in the door for the late night. I simply can't say enough good about this place! Come here, you won't regret it. A great big shout out to the folks at 456,a bar in Greenpoint that is a favorite of our daughter and new son-in-law and we booked it for a reception for their 6/6 wedding. It was a wonderful experience. Being out of Towners,we didn't know what to expect. The crowd of 85-90 was mostly young but the seniors we invited loved it too. Best Thursday night wedding ever attended, hands down. Best appetizers- Brusheta and Crosini followed by delicious lasagna and vegan mushrooms and linguine. Full bar gave ample choices for beers and wine and a special mixed drink for the evening, everybody's favorite,Watermelon Margaritas made from fresh watermelon. Bartenders and staff couldn't have been more attentive and gracious. Thanks for making Eileen and Tim's wedding such a memorable occasion. read more

This is probably one of the coolest bars I've ever been to. It's like out of a movie! Super cozy with christmas lights out in the front garden. Inside, there are comfortable couches by dim lighting. The ambiance is just super unique. It feels magical and you don't want to leave. They have a great selection of beers and cocktails. The food seems to be all appetizers and just a tad pricey. We had an absolutely fantastic time this afternoon! There's a massive outdoor space and it's clear that COVID precautions are being taken seriously - felt like a fun and safe space outdoors with tables appropriately spaced and everyone abiding by the mask rule when not seated. The drinks were amazing! My entire table was addicted to the Blackberry Spritz which was light and refreshing, it felt like summer in a glass. The bartender, Bentley, was a dream and was super kind and thoughtful to our group (the Blackberry Spritz was his creation!). Can't say enough good things about this hidden gem! This place just screams Brooklyn hipster. The inside is super cool with all sorts of funky art and every piece of furniture is different and looks like an antique found at a thrift store. The vibe is very casual and friendly. Our waitress was very nice and the food was great. The prices are fair and its plenty spacious to bring a large group. There's a main room with a bar (so you don't have to sit at a table with a waitress) and a smaller back room. There's also an outdoor patio that's open during the summer.
