If you're contemplating this spot- stop and get over here. Visiting from LA and wanted a cool brunch spot with some natural wines and this place is 10/10. First off staff is SO friendly- genuinely kind. The wines were fantastic especially if you love a natural wine. My fav was Couples Goals. The breakfast was delicious and balanced- highly recommend the merguez and eggs- tasty earthy sausage, creamy scrambled eggs, tangy kale salad, and a delicious avocado. Good vibes. Indoor and outdoor space. Highly recommend!

Great casual spot with good breakfast portion and prices. 1. Reservations are available on Resy 2. Good and friendly service 3. Good cocktail menu with more unique offerings 4. Brunch is very solid and a great option in the area 5. There's an outdoor patio for warmer weather

It was our first time coming here for brunch. We had a great time the food and service were fantastic. The place is pretty cool too. They have a patio in the back unfortunately, it was raining the day we came so we had to sat inside which was nice as well. Now I know why this place has so many hype I will definitely be considering coming back again for happy hour.

Quite disappointed with the breakfast dishes as this isn't the first time I've dined here. Came with few friends from out of town, ordered whipped ricotta and fries to share, then chicken sando, avocado toast and BEC (bacon egg chili) along with chai & matcha latte. The food quality has gone down - smaller, less vegetable. You could tell by quality matcha, this wasn't it. Tasted mostly milky, less tea. My partner got the chicken sando because she loved it the first time, but the chicken was half the size and no lettuce/vegetable included with the sandwich. It's overpriced for the size and quality. The backyard was enclosed and heated, so that was nice and server was attentive with water and taking dishes away. Really disappointed because we really liked this place. Maybe dinner menu may not be as disappointing.

Fun brunch spot with a lovely outdoor seating area in the back! The plates are a little small, but the food is very flavorful and still filling! The eggs were perfectly fluffy and moist and the brioche bread is actually incredible - it melts in your mouth!

Such a cute hidden patio! Was not sure what to expect from the street but the inside and back were lovely. Great service and great food!

I came here for the New Year's Eve pre fix dinner. It was $62 a person (tax/tip not included). I found out this was the first time they had ever done this. They sold out completely and all 74 spots were booked. The restaurant is not that big but I loved the ambiance. It was super warm and cozy with the lighting. There's a single stall bathroom in the back. My friend and I were seated at the bar. It was kinda cold to be sitting right by the door but what can you do? Food - Brussel sprouts - this was so good. Not too crunchy/crispy. - whipped ricotta - the ricotta was TO DIE for. It was so light and we definitely could have had more bread to finish it all. - salad - mine did not have cashews because I have a nut allergy! We were sent an email/text a couple days early to confirm what 3 mains we wanted: - crispy chicken: this was my least favorite of the mains. It came with 2 pieces of chicken and had roasted vegetables. I liked the sauce and roasted vegetables it came with. The chicken wasn't dry - to my surprise but didn't have much of a flavor. - Drunken Gabi Noodles: the BEST THING I ate all night. - Bar Salmon: I was looking forward to this dish the most because I love salmon. It was good but I loved the noodles more! The cauliflower puree was to die for though. - Olive Oil Chocolate Mousse: this was so good. The salt at the bottom/end was such a nice touch. Shoutout to the amazing staff for all their hard work. They were cranking out dishes all night. Again, this was their first time doing something like this and I think they did a good job. The timing was off though. My friend and I received dishes much later than some other tables. And then there were times when we would finish a dish and another table would receive the same dish. The dinner was scheduled 7-9 pm. We didn't revive our first dish until 7:30 and we left at 9:30. However we asked to pay early and got our desserts to go. Shoutout to Gabi for doing that for us!!! The bartender was making drinks non stop the entire night.

Taste wise, Baba's food is delicious. Small portions and pricey, but tasty. From a policy, ease and management perspective there's a lot to be desired. We only discovered the restaurant a month or so ago, but really enjoyed the food and vibes. Service in the restaurant is friendly, but any communications outside of the actual dining experience are AWFUL. They have a phone #, but nobody picks it up. Their reservations are managed through Opentable, which is totally fine but their own management and policies are total BS. We had a reservation for Sunday brunch at 1pm. I texted them (finally got their cell # so we could communicate with them) at 1:32pm on Saturday asking them to cancel the reservation and could they possibly not charge us the $10 per person for canceling within 24 hours. Not only did they say no, as in they'd be charging us $60 even through we've been in every single weekend since our discovery of the place - because we were 32 minutes late. Text was total snark. We'll never go back there again. There's far too much amazing food in Brooklyn, which also offer massively better value. Adding post Gabriela's response: we had a reservation for 6people (not 8), and the other reservation (again for 6) had been cancelled several days prior. If your restaurant is that good, you should have had no problem filling the spot. AND, we tried to cancel the one outstanding reservation 23 HOURS and 28 minutes ahead of your policy. Best of luck.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday and sat outdoors. They have a beautiful courtyard but it's not for the weak in a hot day. We got the whipped ricotta to share which was AMAZING! So light and flavor ful and I loved the fennel and honey combination. The bread they give with it is also really really good. My main however was just ok. I got the vegetarian breakfast sandwich and found it to be bland and soggy. Overall, really cute place for brunch in the area!

Came here for the first time for lunch this week and will definitely be back! A cute, relaxed cafe with super fresh, delicious and healthy (well at least healthy-ish, ha) menu. I had the Gabi bowl, which had perfectly soft scrambled eggs, a perfect half avocado, roasted Brussels and butternut squash -- pretty much perfect lunch. The Ft Greene Fog tea latte was yummy as well.

Visited on a Monday night during Happy Hour and was so happy I did. I tried the server's suggestion of her favorite 'yesterday's wine,' which was a wonderful sparkling red that hit the spot and then went on to share Brussels Sprouts (which were addictive) and the Boulliabaise Toast with rock shrimp on top that was a yummy take on the French classic. The secret garden in the back was so pretty - I want to come up with an excuse to throw a party back there. Needless to say I'll be back very soon.

Baba Cool slips under the radar of all the restaurant buzz and top lists, but they deserve a place among Brooklyn's coolest places to while away the hours. It's a bit of a chameleon of a cafe, adapting to whatever environment you need for it to be. Maybe you want diner grub, and can opt to try their little gem wedges, crispy chicken wings, and baba fries. If it's a healthy cafe vibe you're going for, their healthy menu of salads, grain bowls, and chia seed puddings will suit you just fine. During my recent visit I was looking for a relaxed place to get a good cocktail, and their full bar and inventive drink list was just what the doctor ordered. Since they aren't all over social media or restaurant press, you'll generally be able to waltz right in and find a seat, which is surprising for a place this cute. Have you checked out their backyard? It's replete with a hanging disco ball, plants, and plush seating, making for the coziest place to hang with a drink or two. I could easily spend a low key afternoon or evening here with one of their pastries, lattes, and cocktails.

    Chai $5.25 | Fort Greene Fog $5.25

Became my city-dwelling friend's new favorite brunch/lunch spot! Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Nothing too crazy, but interesting feel-good food~ We got their: Fort Greene Fog $5.25 - subtle lavender, earl grey, vanilla flavors Chai $5.25 - regular chai, nothing too crazy... menu mentioned cinnamon sticks, so was looking forward to it, but it had none :( Asada Bowl $18.50 - safe choice; nothing too crazy Jerk Chicken Sandwich $18 - no spicy kick you'd expect from jerk chicken... veryyyy subtle banana -- glad it doesn't overpower the sandwich; it's a unique mix to jerk chicken! The only downside was the heat blasting down on our faces in the extra seatings in the back... Out waitress kept forgetting to turn it down, haha... But she was super nice otherwise!
