The staff always sent one update through the app each time my dog stayed with them. This is a great daycare for dogs who love to play with other dogs. It's a pretty stimulating environment for dogs, and Ian acknowledged that. My dog did daycare there and boarded with them for a few nights. I would describe my lil dude as pretty human oriented, has separation anxiety, and fancies himself to be an escape artist. The staff always made sure to give him some special attention and managed him in a way that prevented him from jumping barriers during pick up. Honestly, he can sometimes be a PITA and wants all the human attention. I think that can be pretty disruptive at a dog day care (sorry Ian and staff!) Regardless, I was most impressed with Diamond (I think that's her name) is super professional and compassionate. She warmly greeted my dog (and I!) every time we came in when she was working and seemed to figure out the quirks of my pup. TL;DR- BDW is a thoughtful, safe dog daycare. Keep in mind not all dogs might love a dog day care environment. However, give Big Dog Walkin' a try, especially if your dog loves playing with other pups. I love that Paws does free meet and greet consultations to get to know your dog prior to just scheduling a walk (like Wag or Rover). Our adopted pup Rosie needs an experienced walker with the patience and care that Joel was able to provide, completely understanding as she is settling in and also getting leash-trained. We had a terrible dog-walking app experience because the walker was not a professional but just a college student who wants to make money while also getting the chance to pet a dog (despite us noting our needs). Long story short our girl got out of her harness AND collar as the walker was not able to properly approach the situation. Joel made the effort to acquaint himself with my pup and every time he walks her, he sends multiple photos and detailed accounts of the walk - including any good, bad, or odd behavior your dog may have exhibited/engaged in. Huge for learning how your pup may be developing - especially without you there - and if there's anything you can address sooner. I found Vera through a 6 week puppy training class being held at a local doggie daycare facility. Having had a bad experience with a 'stern' trainer with my first bulldog, I was admittedly a little leery, but that feeling was immediately put at ease as soon as I met her. Though there were 5 other dogs in the class Vera not only taught us as a group, but spent time with everyone individually working on whatever specific needs our dog had. She really tuned into each owner and their interaction with their dog. I also liked that she gave the dogs time to socialize with one another, which was great for my dog as she didn't have much exposure to other dogs at the time. After the course was over, Stella had a great grasp of the basics, but we were having a few issues unrelated to basic obedience at home. We contacted Vera and she immediately worked with us to find a time that accommodated our hectic schedules. We did 3 in home training sessions, and saw a difference after the very first one. She makes you see stuff through their eyes and points out things that you would normally overlook that really help the dog to learn. She gives you all these little pointers and tricks that make all the difference. Every aspect of her training is completely positivity based, which is huge to me as I consider my dog a member of our family. I would highly recommend Vera to anyone who is looking for a trainer. She truly cares about the well being of your dog and it's very important position in your family.

I also met her many times when I was walking my dogs and she was walking others. She always had those dogs under calm and happy control and they clearly loved her as much as mine did. BEWARE OF SCAM!!…read more Boston Dog Walks is a dangerous organization. We were so sad when our favorite dog walker went on to another business but felt relieved to have found BDW. However, on multiple occasions (due to my job), I happened to be home during our dog's regularly scheduled walks. And each time, NO ONE CAME! How long had we been paying these people who pretended to be walking our dog while collecting their weekly checks?! If only dogs could talk ... We had an agreement when we hired them that they would leave a note, indicating the time that they came, and at least 5 times, they "forgot" to leave a note. The final straw came when I stopped home mid-morning to find a note alleging that our dog had been walked at "12:20 pm." It wasn't even 11 AM!!!! When we fired BDW and demanded to have our keys back, Rachael (the owner) proceeded to tell us that our expensive, non-replicable keys to our building AND apartment were lost! A few days later, she corrected herself and said she realized that they were "broken," so we didn't need to worry. Needless to say, I changed the locks. The person who referred us to this organization has said that he has heard from multiple persons complaints such as ours, so I felt compelled to spread the word.
