Never again. Didn't listen to a thing I said. My dog has been licking himself constantly and she cut off all his hair.

When we called the facility a week before our trip, I found the owner/manager to be wonderful. She answered my questions and was really reassuring about the services that they provide. She was accommodating in terms of our timing and reservations. The boarding facility is a very easy 15 minute drive from Niagara Falls, and it's a pretty straight shot from the resort where we stayed. We arrived to find a beautifully maintained boarding kennel that was sparkling clean inside and out. Our dog is highly anxious whenever we board her, but the friendly and knowledgeable staff members were patient with her. The rates are very reasonable, and customer service is excellent. I would highly recommend Meadowview Pet Resort to others.

My girlfriend and I (booked an appointment and) went to visit with our dog today but we're quickly shown the door after a few minutes of talking with Marylynn. She told us to find someone to stay at our house to watch our dog instead. For some context our shepherd has completed Dave McMahon's novice dog training top 3 in his class! He's been doing the intermediate/advanced dog training for 7 months and he's just over half way through his reality recall training. He's a very friendly dog and has never shown aggression to ANY other animal. He grew up with two cats in the house. He loves other dogs and especially people. Marylynn said our dog would be off leash. We said we don't let him off leash yet (we use a long line) because he's not done his recall training. She said if he has to be on a long line then she doesn't want him. But he can be off leash in a fenced area no problem. She told us if our dog won't come when called while playing with other dogs she doesn't want him. The whole time we were there talking to her we felt very unwelcome. We were really looking forward to this place. I guess we'll have to go somewhere else.

Today, everything changed. Since my last update on March 7 -- Yogi Bear did it…read more No fight. No panic. Just one quiet growl -- a warning, not a war. We walked into the vet's office at 10:57 AM. By 11:05, it was over. Eight minutes. That's all it took. Introductions. A short wait. Shaving his leg. Drawing blood. Holding pressure. Done. And not a drop of sedation. For the first time in seven years, Yogi wasn't drugged, restrained, or forced to shove his head through a hole in a wall just to get care. Seven years. That's how long it took for someone to finally see him for who he is -- not just a "reactive dog," but a soul worth the time, the patience, and the respect. If you pour your heart into your dog and your vet doesn't match that commitment -- leave. For four years, I stayed with a vet who left me gutted and ashamed after every visit, and Yogi traumatized. I begged for help, tried to make it work. And every "no" from another clinic after that made it feel hopeless. Then I took a gamble -- a vet two hours away. That one decision changed everything. I hope no one else has to fight this long just to find someone who cares enough to try. And I hope every visit from here on brings me to tears -- not from fear, but from finally witnessing what Yogi always deserved. This is what happens when love meets the right hands.
