I left my little rescue with them, he'd never been professionally groomed, so he was terrified. When I returned, he was over the moon happy to see me (as he always at my return). The groomer did a wonderful job with him. He was soft as can possibly be, his ear's were so clean, his nails and tiny feet perfectly pedicured. The price was GREAT. I AM THRILLED I FOUND A PLACE I CAN TRUST. I hope this rate of trust will continue as long as I have this perfect little Pooch in my life. I took my puppy here for a puppy grooming with the expectations that they would be understanding of the typical behaviors of a puppy. Instead, I got criticism that my puppy was "too much" and too excited around other puppies in the salon. Mind you, he did great with all of the actual grooming procedures. I am disappointed that they advertise a puppy package but don't seem like they know how to really handle a puppy. read more

My three Pekingese are always well taken care of at Furry Friends! They know each one's mannerisms and how to best deal with them to make them feel at ease. They come home smelling wonderful and with very attractive haircuts. Thank goodness I no longer have to risk my fingers to trim nails and fur in between pads! In addition, they are active members of the community and have always supported our efforts (Lancaster Unleashed) to create a dog park in Lancaster. They almost always have rescue kitties on site being socialized that are ready for adoption. read more

I honestly can't say enough about this place. I have a morkie and I've been taking her here for 2 years. When I started taking Nori here I lived in the area and heard of this place from some people. Since then I moved and live 40 min away and I make the drive because I refuse to take my dog anywhere else. The people are so incredibly friendly. They are patient & so understanding. The place is always clean. The most important thing though is how they treat my princess, she is always groomed so well and she is never scared. I can tell they treat her with love. I will never take my little love anywhere else. I typically do a cut, wash, nails, teeth & ears but they have crazy things like facials as well. There are so many options. schedule appointment and when I called to confirm they said I did not have a appointment. I asked to speak to the manager they said I could go somewhere else. Then took my number called me back saying they found the appointment. Confirmed it did a good job at first appointment accept they complained he got aggressive when doing his nails so they didn't do them. Next appointment they did a very poor job grooming and said he got aggressive and didn't do the nails again. We're done will fine another groomer. Poor professionalism and workmanship. read more

I would love to say the experience I had was wonderful, however I'm sad to say it wasn't. Calyssa was the groomer for kailani a couple of weeks ago. I had noticed a nick on the animals belly shortly after her visit. It was acknowledged then that the incident was due to grooming clippers. Which I was then told it isn't uncommon & they'd note to be more careful moving forward with her belly area due to the incident. I was told that I could take my animal to the vet and they would reimburse me due to negligence on their end. When I acknowledged that I simply didn't have the funds to be reimbursed Hannah then got extremely rude. I simply asked if they could cover the cost of the visit. I explained that I couldn't cover it to be reimbursed, in which I was then told the incident didn't occur there. After following up with my vet I called back and spoke with a co-owner, Dawn. In which she said I was negligent for not having my dog seen sooner. She then gave me a THIRD version of what had "supposedly happened" and again, called me negligent. I'm simply upset my dog was INFACT hurt at this groomers and they're now giving me three different versions of a story as well as belittling me and speaking down on me. I have had such a horrible experience with this company, after being warned by many not to go here. I wish I would have listened. Please don't be like me, don't take your animal somewhere that is neglectful and harmful to animals. It's very clear their only concern is the money coming in the door. They tried to convince me they didn't touch her belly with clippers AFTER I was told (and it was clear to the eye) that she was in fact shaved on her belly. They then blamed it on the fact that she was "in heat and her nipples were engorged" as said by DAWN. I'm repulsed by the attitude, the neglect as well as the pure disrespect. It's extremely distasteful and just overall extremely unpleasant. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE but here !!!! read more

We have a 5 month old Goldendoodle - to which had gotten a bit too furry and we were desperate to have her cut. Furry Friends took her the same day that I called and didn't make me wait on the phone while they "found time". This was the cutest place of all time - it really says something when they have the other pups running around in the back and not in cages. The Stylist - Sarah was so sweet and nice, she was very patient while I was filling out paperwork and my pup was very interested in everything there was at the Spa. They have a full list of services that they offer but we opted for the basic package. It only took an hour and a 1/2 to have my pup washed, dried, cut, nails trimmed and ears cleaned. (It feels like it takes me 2 days to wash her at home - so I was happy!). My husband picked up the pup and called me on the way home to be prepared that my heart was going to melt. She was ADORABLE! They put these little bows in her ears and she looks so stinking cute. Perfect cut, just what I wanted and I am having people stop me when I walk her to see where she was last cut! We have a sheltie and she is a handful. I have always groomed my pets over the years. Shelties have so much fur and layers it is difficult to groom them. I contacted Furry Friends and they were wonderful with her. She needed a lot of trimming and grooming to be done. They did a beautiful job on her and they also were very concerned about her experience. She looked absolutely adorable! They were very nice and we are definitely going back! I've taken my dog here for the last two years for a bath, nail trimming and furminators. The quality of work is so hit and miss but has gotten better. The owner/team do take criticism and feedback and act upon it. As they are working at getting better and trying to do the right thing and as they are a local business, it is good to support them. They will only get better as you help them get better so feel free to provide them feedback and they'll generally react to it. My dog seems to like it there and he comes back, generally softer and fluffier, clean and with trimmed nails. Just confirm with the person taking the dog the services you require as otherwise they may forget. read more

My dogs desperately needed their nails clipped and filed before older guests with very fragile skin arrived the next day. I usually do it myself, and it takes me days to finish because they struggle with me so much. Not having time to do it myself, I contacted Furry Friends and asked if they could manage a quick clip and file for both dogs, even the one that is weird with other dogs and either barks incessantly or acts aggressive. The staff was amazing! They realized who we were by the dog breeds as soon as we walked in the door and took the girls from our arms and directly back to the tables. They were very anxious and wiggly, having never been to a groomer before, but the staff kept them as calm and stress-free as possible. When they were done they carried them past the other dogs in the store before handing them over to me. It was a very pleasant experience for me and we will be going back! read more

I love this place. The staff are so nice to my big baby chocolate lab. She not afraid to enter the building, she actually likes to go in. She won't enter most buildings. (It does help there are 3 cats inside). Furry Friend sells homemade treats for dogs and they smell so good that sometimes I think I should try them.
