We are staying here because it's not too far from the Cruise Terminal. My relative booked this place and it's really nice. The room is clean, the Staff is friendly and they have a restaurant on the Second Floor. My only gripe is, my room was chilly, it's no heat option on the Thermostat . We turned off the Thermostat and it was still cold in there. My Husband called the desk clerk to ask for an extra blanket and a short time later someone brought us a Sheet!! lol smh. But other than that, everything was fine.

Erin at the front desk was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He made our check-in process quick and easy, and we really appreciated the warm welcome to the hotel. He made us feel at home right away. Thank you so much for an amazing stay, and for making us feel so welcome!

The room is clean, internet is fast enough. It is easy to miss in the Miami traffic. The hotel can be more than it is...but it can do.

This place is really quite unfortunate - would not recommend staying here. The pool was closed (which is the main reason why I was planning on staying here), the ice machine was broken, the body wash dispenser was broken, the front desk girl was very unfriendly and did not let me know about any amenities or hotel details when I checked in - not even the time of breakfast or where the gym was located, and overall this place is just a very small, food was not very good and I had to go downstairs and wait in line to pay for the meal.. the list goes on. Would not stay here again.

Gorgeous hotel right off of Bird Rd. My coworker and I stayed here because we had some work meetings in the vicinity. The hotel is valet only ($25 for overnight parking) for a car - just FYI. Hotel nightly rates were reasonable and there is a rate with breakfast included. The hotel and the room I stayed in was overall very modern and chic. The fitness center is 24 hours and is on the 5th floor. Breakfast in the morning was great and the coffee is really tasty. Would definitely recommend!

I hate it here *huge sigh*. Upon checkin I was informed that the housekeepers wont be changing my linens because I'm only staying for 3 days. I think that is a horrible policy and should be told to guests when they book. When I entered my room it was not cleaned well (see pictures). Filthy bedding, hair in the sink, just poor cleanliness. Luckily, I brought lysol with me. The biggest con is that I paid for a room with a king size bed. This bed is definitely not king size. Its definitely a queen. A queen is 60 inches in width and I'm 5'4 so I can tell when I lay across the bed. When I called the front desk there was no recourse. Bad start to whats supposed to a chill vacation. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL!!!!

I have to reduce this to 3 stars now that corporate has forwarded me the final invoice & the most asinine way to sneak in & improperly explain charges! Do NOT expect the price you pay while booking on Expedia or any 3rd party site is correct! The extra charge will be 1/4+ of the total, if not more, because they slightly fail to mention there is a "room fee" on top of the reservation for staying in the room, PER night. As well as a valet charge, PER day (it also does not state that upon booking). Then, they add on another couple of fees that appear to be charged PER day, on top of your accommodations you already booked & prepaid for. While the place was very nice, myself & corporate are pretty disgusted with the final bill & HOW the staff handled it when we called with questions. Not only were we dismissed immediately & put on hold for over 10 minutes, the next staff member who answered the call was VERY quick to say "we have no record of those charges on our end. You'll have to contact Expedia because it is their charge." ...funny how Expedia explained it in less time, and with TRUTH! We had to request a copy of the ITEMIZED invoice from Four Points in order to break down the extra charges... and it wasn't easy to decipher. It was extremely alarming, very shady, and totally made us reconsider ever booking here again or using a partner affiliation in accommodations in the future.

We Stayed here two night Precruise with our kids and grandkids…read more My daughter upgraded us with her status so we ended up with a gorgeous balcony room- floor to ceiling windows and we were able to watch a fireworks show the first night. The status match actually got us free breakfast, thank goodness, As it was $37 pp plus tip for breakfast. I will say, though, it was an excellent breakfast spread. And the first morning included Huevo rancheros with Cotija cheese, the usual scrambled eggs, and a variety of breakfast meats and potatoes, as well as as they have an omelette station and a lot of variety of fruits, deli meats, pastries, oatmeal, and toppings. There really is quite a big selection here. Service was excellent as well. We had a king room with a balcony with the most amazing view of downtown- the bathroom had a huge marble, shower and philosophy, products for shampoo, lotion, etc. There is also a nice bar on the first floor that has food and drink and a decent wine selection as well as sports playing on the TV so we were able to catch a couple of NCAA women's champ games We did spend an afternoon at the pool, it is a decent size with a good number of loungers. There is a counter you can go to to order drinks and food, but it was odd. There was only one person working at this counter so when they disappeared to go pick up food, a lot of people were waiting. This is an interesting set up for such a nice hotel. I will say you are in a very walkable area with tons of restaurants and shops in the vicinity so take your time to familiarize yourself. We went to Motek tonight for some wonderful Israeli food and it was fantastic. If you want, cheap eats, there is a Pollo tropical around the corner. It was very late when we arrived and we just wanted some grilled chicken and this hit the spot for about 13 bucks. Well, it's not the most convenient area to the cruise port, it is very nice here and much quieter than the Biscayne Bay area, so definitely an up level if you like Staff have been very friendly and accommodating as well

The rooms are nice and spacious, which we appreciated since we had a baby with us. The hotel was able to provide a crib which was an Uppababy Remi travel crib. They also provided a toiletries kit for babies. The room came with a very small mini fridge as well. The only thing of note was that we were unable to change the thermostat and it was set to 72 F. We ordered room service and the food was excellent. The fish was cooked just right, not too firm. The pizza was honestly better than some pizza places I've had. Wings were crispy and a decent size. We also had some pastries from the coffee shop in the lobby and they were all delicious as well. Not too sweet, buttery and flakey. We also visited the pool during our stay. The pool water was very warm, but that's to be expected in the Miami heat. The ambience was relaxing and the pool side servers provided excellent service. Overall, Loew's Coral Gables provides remarkable service and high quality amenities, would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are traveling as a family.

Everyone greeted you every time you walked in. From check in to the bar to the valet staff everyone was great. The room was great. Spacious, comfy bed, ac worked great. Large bathroom. The water pressure on the shower wasn't the best, but not the worst. The pool area was so chill, early in the morning. It was like I had the pool to myself before 11am. The water was warmed I believe. So nice to just lounge or chill in the water. Location is excellent. A bunch of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance or a quick uber ride away. Will probably stay here next time I'm in town to visit family. Valet parking available. I think it's $40 per night. They have a resort fee but you also get a credit for food, uber and other perks to offset the cost. It's a bit annoying they have to charge this extra fee, but nice they offer some additional value for this charge. They did send a charge after my stay, and when I called they said it was for the mini bar. I didn't get anything from the mini bar. They quickly refunded me, but it's good to keep an eye on your CC after your stay for any random charges.

Miami Biltmore Hotel is a historic place . A little history…read more: The hotel was designed by Schultze and Weaver and built in 1926 by John McEntee Bowman and George Merrick as part of the Biltmore hotel chain. The hotel's tower is inspired by the Giralda, the medieval tower of the cathedral of Seville Spain. When completed in 1926, the Biltmore became the tallest building in Florida at 315 feet holding the record as Florida's tallest building until 1928 when the Dade County Courthouse was built. At one time, the pool was the largest pool in the world and employed swimming instructor (and later Tarzan actor) Johnny Weissmuller. It served as a hospital during World War II and as a Veterans Administration Hospital and campus of the University of Miami medical school until 1968. The hotel was then abandoned for many years before again restoring operations as a hotel in 1987. In 1986, Miami Biltmore Hotel was designated a National Historic Landmark. In 1925, land developer George E. Merrick joined forces with Bowman-Biltmore Hotels president John McEntee Bowman at the height of the Florida land boom to build "a great hotel...which would not only serve as a hostelry to the crowds which were thronging to Coral Gables but also would serve as a center of sports and fashion." In January 1926, after ten months of construction at a cost of $10 million, the hotel opened and visitors included the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Ginger Rogers, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Al Capone, and assorted Roosevelts and Vanderbilts as frequent guests. Franklin D. Roosevelt had a temporary White House office set up at the Hotel when he vacationed in Miami. Several months after the hotel opened, on September 18, the 1926 Miami Hurricane struck. While the hotel was undamaged, providing shelter for over 2000 survivors, the disaster signaled the end of the Florida land boom. Merrick's Coral Gables company declared bankruptcy on April 13, 1929, and Merrick's stake in the hotel was bought out by his partner, John McEntee Bowman in November 1929 for $2.1 million.Bowman resold the hotel in September 1931 to millionaire Henry Latham Doherty. A large part of the hotel's revenue in the 1930s came from aquatic galas. As many as 3,000 people would come out to watch the synchronized swimmers, bathing beauties, and alligator wrestling. Johnny Weissmuller, before he was known for his role in Tarzan, broke a world record at the pool. With the onset of World War II, the War Department took over the hotel, converting it to a 1200-bed hospital in November 1942. The building was transferred to the Army in 1946 and renamed Pratt General Hospital. Many of the windows were sealed with concrete, and the marble floors covered with government-issue linoleum. The hospital was transferred from the Army to the Veterans Administration ,in July 1947. Also the early site of The University of Miami's School of Medicine, Pratt General Hospital remained a VA hospital, with 450 beds, until a newer facility opened nearby in May 1968 and the building was vacated. In 1973, through the Historic Monuments Act and Legacy of Parks program, the City of Coral Gables was granted ownership control. The building remained unoccupied for almost 10 years. Then in 1983, the City oversaw its full restoration to be opened as a grand hotel. It was reopened on December 31, 1987 as a luxury hotel and resort. In June 1992, a multinational consortium led by Seaway Hotels Corporation became the new operators of the hotel under a long term management lease with the City of Coral Gables, and again made extensive refurbishments to the property. New lighting and telephone systems, repairs to the pool, furnishings, a complete guestroom renovation program and spa were completed. In February 2009, the hotel opened the Biltmore Culinary Academy, a recreational hands-on cooking school with classes for adults and children taught by the hotel's chefs. On April 18, 2012, the AIA's Florida Chapter placed the building on its list of "Florida Architecture, 100 Years, 100 Places. The hotel has been used as a setting in various movies and television programs, including Bad Boys, The Specialist, Shock Waves, CSI: Miami, Popi, and Miami Vice. If your into golf The hotel has an 18-hole, par 71, championship course designed by Donald Ross.Reopened in November 2007, following a $5 million investment, the course was restored and updated by Brian Silva. The original 1925 routing was retained, but all greens, tees, and bunkers were reconstructed and grassed to contemporary standards. The property again contracted Silva to provide additional improvements to the golf course in the summer of 2018. The course annually hosts the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship. Come stay at the Biltmore , the rooms are spacious and unique in style . The Biltmore is a great place for dinner or brunch having a wonderful assortment. Very nice stores to shop too. No phone call. No email. No text. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member. There were no rooms available throughout the city due to a marathon. After hours of trying to figure out what to do, the hotel manager called the police on us for "trespassing." Clarida the manager treated us awful. It was a mistake of the hotel not us. Yes -- four, travel-weary, senior women with nowhere to go were escorted out by police and told us we can't stay. Need to go somewhere else for night. No empathy. No returned calls from management. I've been leaving voicemails for days. Travelers cruising out of Miami -- be careful where you book. No one should start a vacation like this.

I left my phone in the car at the valet and within five minutes it was delivered to my room without me ever asking. That kind of attentiveness is rare and sets the tone for the entire stay. Room service exceeded expectations: the chicken soup was top 5 I've ever had. Complimentary happy hour was also great (house Chardonnay was surprisingly good). We also received a $50/day F&B credit and breakfast for two (worth noting: breakfast can run $80-$100+ for two if paying out of pocket). Big downside: noise -- late-night piped-in music (called around 2-3am), loud Commodore bar vibe, nearby construction, and 1.5 hours of drilling next door on our last day. Shout-outs to Christina Strong (front desk--proactive and empathetic), Lucas at Isabelle's, and Steve (bellman) -- all excellent. Amazing walkable area (Koko, Narbona, waterfront paths), but room placement and noise management didn't match the Ritz price tag.
