We stayed on the AC side last time and it's gets a bit confusing. Differences is the element side - rooms have a kitchenette and free breakfast is included. You still get the dining credit (against the resort fee) on either side. Check-in was much smoother this time. A room was ready right away which was amazing after an early travel day. Biggest negative for me was the pillows provided. They were super flimsy. If it were more than a one night stay, I would have asked for different ones or extras. The room was clean, AC was strong and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast included a hot option cooked fresh but no omelettes. There is also a waffle maker, various breads, yogurt station etc. But, strangely, the plates are tiny. Probably to keep people from taking too much or going back to their rooms. Location is great- walking distance to a mall, food options etc. No airport or cruise shuttle though. read more

As a frequent guest of Marriott properties, I expected a much better experience from this hotel. Unfortunately, it fell well short of the standards I've come to expect. We requested and were approved for an early check-in at 1:00 PM. When we arrived, we were told our room wouldn't be ready for another hour. We checked back at 2:00 PM, but it still wasn't available. We ultimately didn't get into our room until 4:00 PM. To make up for the delay, the hotel upgraded us to a different room, which was appreciated, but I almost wish we had kept the original reservation. The room was disappointing. The floors were dirty, the ceiling had numerous water stains from what appeared to be previous leaks, and even the paper coffee cups and coffee packets looked dirty. Overall, I left very disappointed and hope the hotel addresses its cleanliness and room readiness issues. On a positive note, the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. read more

I needed a room for a night before a cruise and did a TON of research before selecting Element. I didn't want a hotel that was crazy expensive and I wanted to be away from the wild touristy congestion near ocean drive. I also wanted to be in an area with things to do within walking distance, closer to the cruise port to minimize uber prices, and close enough to possibly walk to the port (stopping for a snack or drink halfway) but learned this was silly after seeing the bridges to get into the area. I've stayed in an element before and enjoy their spacious layout and light colored, clean aesthetic so this element was the perfect hotel to fit all of my needs. It is in the very walkable area of Brickell, full of restaurants, coffee shops, and even a mall. I walked around alone at times and felt very safe, even stumbled across an organized business trick or treat for kids with police road blocks! The Element hotel is connected to the AC hotel which offers a fun light & dark contrast between the two seen hallways and shared amenities. The hotels hosts self paid events at the pool and lounge area. There is a $33 destination fee that I was not expecting and have never heard of (similar to resort fees at Vegas hotels). I actually asked if I could waive this and was told no so I took advantage of most of the "perks". I got my cookies upon checkin (my husband got his late night), made sure to connect to the WiFi, and had a cocktail at the AC lounge bar. I've been to other elements where the cocktails (yes several) were free so I was a little annoyed I technically paid for my one lol. The room itself was very clean with a nice sized bathroom and a little kitchenette with a large fridge perfect for leftovers. Even though it is near the transit, I didn't notice the noise in the room. The room also had great light between the windows and in room lights. The shower was a nice size with great heat and water pressure. I loved everything about this hotel minus the destination fee. Highly recommend for an affordable hotel option before cruising! read more

After a long day of travel, Melissa at the front desk was beyond wonderful with a fast and efficient check-in offerings of a cheeseboard and wine in the lobby. When traveling, I prefer to stay at element properties as they are always clean with full kitchens, even dishwashers. This is a great way to make you feel at home when traveling. I spent a Friday night here after attending a concert. Valet was easy to access on the second floor of the parking garage. (Note: There is a valet fee, which is added to your final room charges.) After checking in, I received a text message with instructions for how to retrieve my vehicle later, which was convenient. Even though I arrived after midnight, the front desk attendant promptly came out to assist me after I rang the service bell. Check-in was smooth, and I was quickly on my way with my room key. The room itself had an intimate and cozy setup. One queen bed, a small kitchenette, a two-chair seating area, and a stylish bathroom. My initial impression was positive, but I was disappointed with the cleanliness. I noticed visible dust and a few stray hairs in the bathroom and on top of the comforter, which took away from the overall experience. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were average. I had forgotten my toothbrush, but the front desk was quick to send a complimentary dental kit to my room, which I appreciated. Another nice touch: upon checking out, I discovered they offer a complimentary continental breakfast. This was a sweet surprise. Just a heads-up, retrieving your car from valet can take 10-15 minutes, so be sure to request it with enough time if you're on a schedule! read more

We arrived to the hotel excited and enthusiastic about taking a nap before continuing our day. Luckily I've always had a thing about checking in and going straight to the room to check before getting my luggage. Our room was filled with water, no worries go back to check in decal inform the staff, they get us a new room. All is well, well not really one the room is situated I had back to my vehicle to park and grab bags, not to only realize there is a "fee" for parking at the hotel, I really thought it was a joke so I asked one of the staff members and they laughed as well and said yes you have to pay it... what a joke....... Again no worries paid the 24 hr parking permit ($27) than continued on. Now the next day we are slated to check out around 12 noon I even had to double check to ensure I was correct and I may have missed something. We go have breakfast, take our bags to the vehicle and return to the room upon returning to the room the room is cleaned which is nice, at least that is what we thought. I believe the staff accidentally clean our room thinking we had left because one of the staff member attempted to walk into the room (we always lock the safety lock, just in case) once realizing someone was in the room, they left and and came back which seemed to be a someone who spoke English as most of the staff only spoke Spanish. While my Spanish isn't the best, I listened to the staff speak about why are they still in the room at which than I get a knock asking what time is check out. I politely tell them 12 and both staff ladies seemed annoyed, I'm guessing because they would have to reclean the room. We will not be back to this location. read more

I'm a life time Ambassador with Marriott and stay at many of their locations world wide. If you care about a clean hotel room and not a fan of black mold, this is not the hotel for you. Even with my status they attempted to clean my shower which I allowed them to do. Cleaning manager did not inspect the room before giving it back to me. If they did, they should be fired. Shower was absolutely disgusting. See pic below. I had to speak with a manager to get a different room. Eww. Manager promised to give me points that never posted. Called the hotel twice. No records of the incident. Gave up and posted here instead to warn others. This occurred during spring break when rates were $600 plus per night. I should have asked for money back. Have only been to Miami once before and I wasn't particularly enthused with our previous hotel. So once I saw the Element was an option, I didn't hesitate due to my prior positive experiences at other Elements. It just opened in 2021, so that helps a lot! Didn't really get much of an upgrade, but that's fine because I was just grateful that they were able to get me a room at 8 am. Love Elements because they are basically a modern Residence Inn. Simple room with a small kitchen area, a table, and a nice bathroom. No complaints on that. Staff here are really friendly! I was communicating with them before I even made it here, so they were well aware of my intention to get here in the early morning right off my flight. Glad they were able to accommodate! Location is solid as Brickell is a nice area. Walkable to Brickell City Centre as well as Brickell Ave. A lot of restaurants and shops in the area. With that said, I still needed my car to drive to the places I wanted to go. I did like how there was a free breakfast, and I do appreciate that they let us into it even though we technically didn't stay the night before. The small things matter! The one thing that was very much not cheap was the $40 valet parking. There is no self-parking option either so it is what it is on that front. Overall, I enjoyed the Element quite a bit and would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

Dropped off my truck at valet and was told there was an up charge for a regular sized 2wd truck. Well ok, I really have no choice. The bell service was great. Checked in and that went smooth. When I got to my room, at first glance it was great. Roomy, lots of storage, and the kitchen was great. Went into the bathroom and found that there were BIG boogers all over the wall. There was also hair on the floor and in the shower. There was some sort of sand under the dishwasher, and the microwave was unplugged and the outlet taken apart. When I reported the boogers the front desk simply said "ok we will send someone up". No apology or empathy for something so gross. I spoke the manager (Melessa Jules) on check out and she was rude and dismissive. Asked me to email pictures in but showed me a paper with her email. No card, didn't write it down, no apology. The free breakfast isn't very good either. I'll be going elsewhere going forward. read more

I have mixed feelings about this review, because it starts off as a 1 star and gradually becomes 4 stars. I reserved this hotel room well in advance of our stay. We were leaving on a cruise and only needed 1 night. I received an email about a week prior to our stay stating there was an issue with my card on file. I fixed the expiration date and zip code, saved, and followed up in the email. They never replied so I assumed all was well. We land in Miami and call the Uber to the Element's address. As we're getting into our Uber, I discover the reservation for the hotel has been canceled. I call the hotel in a panic because we're only 10 minutes away and they tell me they just released my room due to the card issue. I'm now in full fury because this was already rectified, but of course I'm on with some call center, not anyone at the actual hotel. They tell me my room has already been rented and the hotel is full. I go back and forth with the call center person for 15 minutes and am still on the phone when I get to the hotel counter. I tell the lady at the counter what's going on and that I need it fixed immediately. She goes to the back and brings out another woman (I want to say her name was Sharika?) who starts furiously working on her computer. Meanwhile, someone else gets on the phone at the call center and basically tells me tough luck. Thankfully Sharika (gosh I hope I remembered that correctly!) tells me she's taking care of me so I am able to hang up on call center bozo. We are given a room but told it will be about 2-3 hours before it will be ready, so we wandered around the mall nearby to wait. We did have some extra time in the lobby waiting. There is a bar on the other side of the hotel - I think the lobby for the connecting hotel. We were able to get some drinks, sit on a cozy couch and hang out. The room itself was decently appointed. Large bathroom with bright lights, shower with excellent water pressure and temperature. It had a kitchenette with a large refrigerator and all the necessary dishes, flatware, components one would need while traveling. The bed was comfortable and clean. There was a sofa, a desk, and enough space on the side tables to charge our phones/watches. We struggled to find the right temperature on the thermostat so it was either way too warm or way to cool. The outside noise is excessive. They do provide you with ear plugs. The train goes by constantly right outside the window, there was construction, and traffic noise. There is also a nightclub on the rooftop that we could hear, so beware of noise if you choose to stay here. Overall, it was fine for an over night. I wouldn't spend a long period of time at this hotel. The location doesn't really warrant longer stays either. You'd be better off in South Beach or Wynwood. read more

Loved loved my stay! I appreciate all the AC Marriotts and the Element did not disappoint. The two hotels are connected. It can be a little confusing with the two elevators and valet in the second floor and main lobby in the sixth floor. It's basically split. AC to the left and Element to the right. My stay included free breakfast and a $20 food/drink voucher. What a nice touch! My room had a kitchenette with all the extras and washing machine full refrigerator and stove top. I think the element side units are bigger than AC. And the pool area is so lovely. What a sight overlooking all of Brickell. This is what makes Miami the magic city. You will enjoy your stay here and all of the beautiful sites. The AC bar looked awesome too. I've had some spectacular espresso martinis at other AC bars I'm sure this one won't disappoint either. Valet is a $48 overnight charge but you can come and go as you like. And they have a text option that lets you know exactly when your car is arriving. I can come back and stay a week! read more

Wifi worked okay. Complimentary breakfast was pretty minimal, ending promptly at 10 AM. They have an omelette station, but aside from that, they only have fruit, cereal, yogurt and pastries. $40 nightly valet parking. Call way ahead. They took an average of 15 minutes to get my car out front from the time I ordered it. If you get a $20 daily food credit upon check in, you'll want to turn it in upon closing out your tab. They won't apply the credit automatically. I got into an argument with customer service over this, and ultimately won. This is one of the lowest Marriott rates I could find in Miami (around $290/night). Not a bad experience for the overall value. read more

There is a nearby rooftop bar that features VERY LOUD MUSIC WITH BASS SPEAKERS THAT KEPT ME AWAKE TIL 3:30am. As a Titanium Bonvoy Member, I've experienced a lot of Marriott properties internationally. I was exhausted tonight- driving 4 hours from Tampa after a long day of meetings and contract negotiations. The staff here is everything. Mark the Valet was warm, trustworthy and saw me struggle with my luggage, lending a helping hand. Nasha welcomed me with a bright smile at the front desk and when I asked for water, she refilled an entire glass water dispenser with oranges and spring water for me. Guillermo was gentle and empathetic, soft spoken and accommodating, issuing my room key. Bear in mind- it's midnight at this point. Mike the bartender shook hands and locked eyes with me. He might have a sixth sense. I needed a glass of wine, it must've been written all over my face. He told me he'd have a glass of wine waiting for me after I dropped my bags. He didn't disappoint! Fresh grapefruit, strawberries and blueberries , vino & ice water. He's a storyteller- what a welcomed relief. Yes pleaseeeeee If this is indicative of the rest of my stay I need anyone reading this to book here vs a competitor. Yoga at the Pool 8am? YES PLEASEEEEEE I needed a peaceful space. I got it. WARNING-- travelers to Miami, DO NOT stay at Marriott Element Miami Brickell! I stayed here for two nights the first weekend of May 2023 while I was in Miami for a work event. During my short stay, my new Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM bag ($2,030 + tax) was stolen from my room! I would have put it in the room safe, but it was too large to fit, so I left it on the desk in the room, still in its Louis Vuitton dustbag. When I returned to my room, it was gone! I called the hotel manager, who said they would investigate, but never got back to me! I thought this was very suspect, so I contacted Marriott Customer Care fifteen times on the following dates: 5/25,5/31,6/7,6/13,6/20 (3 times), 6/30, 7/15/.7/25,7/30, 8/5, 8/20,8/26, and 9/6. I finally spoke with a manager who said he would investigate and file a claim for me. Finally, over 3 months after the theft, I was informed that the claim had been submitted and denied. In the email, the manager kept referring to my "lost" bag, but the bag was not "lost," it was STOLEN from my hotel room! Other than Marriott employees, no one else besides me had access to the room! My family and I have been loyal Marriott members and timeshare owners for decades, and I am HORRIFIED that I no longer feel *safe* visiting a Marriott property, as I now know that my belongings are clearly NOT SECURE in my locked hotel room! I can't believe that a multinational company like Marriott would not take responsibility for a theft from one of their locked hotel rooms, when no one other than myself and Marriott employees had access to the room. read more

Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A few may have still been learning some of the aspects of the hotel, but were helped by their coworkers quickly. Pool area is very nice. Limited dining options on site. Free breakfast is pretty basic, but serves its need. Room was terrific and I ended up with a great view of the river and downtown. Only downsides are the lobby is on the 6th floor with poor signage to find it. Outdoors finding the front door is also a challenge and poorly marked. The cleaning staff were very respectful and asked if I needed anything, even just a refresh on the in room coffee options. I'd stay here again if in the area. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I left a package with the front desk to be shipped out via USPS and when I came back the next day, they said USPS hadn't picked up yet. So, I asked to retrieve my package, and it was missing. They went to check their cameras and apparently they have a "blind spot," and had no idea what happened to the package. After numerous lies and corporate greed taking over, I was offered a small compensation package along with a settlement agreement to sign, rather than them doing what's right and compensating for the full package value, which I provided! David Reid should be fired for his actions and total lack of care for the customer...absolutely insulting and despicable! I have to now go to small claims court to resolve this matter rather than them doing what's ethical and right, crazy, huh? The epitome of what's wrong with this country...big corps trying to take advantage of the everyday consumer and customer because they think they can and are entitled to do so. The buffet style breakfast was delicious and Alisandra from the kitchen was one of the sweetest cooks I've ever encountered. I stayed here for exactly a month for work. It was a month from hell. A transformer blew up resulting in a closure of the pool for approximately 3 week and having the street in front of the hotel to be closed down and full of construction--making it very difficult to get an Uber. Each shower I took resulted in a giant pool of water all over the bathroom floor. The room air conditioning kept breaking. The bar staff was unskilled, inattentive, and unprofessional. The front desk staff was completely incompetent and couldn't explain inconsistent charges on my card. The elevators broke down for several days. Housekeeping was irregular and often [barely] cleaning rooms at 8 and 9pm. My sheets weren't replaced the entire 30 days. They charge for package handling, but refuse to even notify you that you have a package--often denying that you received a package, forcing you to come back when someone else would actually look. There is a very loud club on the roof that you can hear throughout the hotel until late into the night. read more

My family and I stayed at the AC Marriott Brickell in mid January 2022. My sons $700.00 dental retainer was thrown away by hotel staff even though we never requested the room serviced (no disturb). The problem is with the hotel front desk staff (Mia Pierre) who refused to return our repeated calls and e-mails. Very poor service at location especially as an Silver Elite Bonvoy member. Even Marriott costumer care was not responsive and very unhelpful even when responding to multiple emails and voice calls. They are not have any business in my room in the 1st place since we had a sign no disturb! read more

This hotel has issues accepting corporate Mastercards. Keeps asking for a 4 digit pin. Front desk person told me had to use my a personal card which as everyone knows who is a business traveler makes it difficult when doing expenses because Corp card is linked to Concur for all business transactions. I've used this card thousands of times at Marriott properties, this is the only one that does that. I finally spoke to a manager and they are aware of the issue and she was able to do something to fix it. Evidently has something to do with having old credit card machines. I then went to pool area for lunch and machine out there had the same issue. So I've had to eat away from the hotel because of this. Another issue with the hotel is the elevators. Staff uses the same elevators. I was stuck on a floor because staff was having a conversation with another staffer who wasn't getting in the elevator and I finally said I have to be somewhere can you all talk somewhere else so I can get to my room. Knowing all this I will have to stay at another hotel when I come to Miami for business unfortunately. read more
