Went to the Lowe's for a little staycation. I was extra impressed the customer service from check in was fantastic everyone was so friendly and they were so caring for my puppy. We got some welcome goodies that were so cute for my pup as well as some amazing chocolate truffles for us. The rooftop pool is amazing but you do need to get there early.

My review applies to the pool area and roof bar. We came here for a day with the family. We bought pool passes so the kids could play in the water and the adults could relax. The staff remembered a few of us from a visit a year ago and welcomed us back. They did a great job taking care of us all day long, from getting us set up in the deck chairs with towels and waters to taking food and drink orders and clearing the plates, etc. The water and pool area were impeccably maintained as were the roof bathroom/changing areas. It felt spa-like. While the food and drinks were a bit pricey, the top-shelf service more than made up for it as the staff made us feel very special.

    I enjoy the chair.

The Lowe's Hotel off of Ponce De Leon in Coral Gables is truly a superior hotel that has excellent accommodations and staff that help ensure everything runs smoothly. The hotel has only been in operation at this location for about two years, as the building is relatively new. From walking into the modernized lobby, where you're greeted and assisted at the concierge desk, to seeing the vast lounge seating areas with the Americana Kitchen situated at the far end, you know you're in for a high-class experience. The pool area is posh on the ninth floor. They have a great fitness room. The views of Coral Gables and the surrounding areas are great from the high floors. The food is delicious, and the drinks are delightful -- despite being on the pricier end of hotel rates. Even the weird Mickey Mouse/Maus-like statues at the front courtyard of Americana Kitchen are cool. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, including those across the street, with the Miracle Mile approximately 10 to 15 minutes away. If you're looking for alternative options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Loew's is conveniently located near the Plaza and offers several options that I took advantage of during my stay. Our room had a corner view of downtown Coral Gables from the ninth floor, featuring a comfortable king-sized bed and practical closet space, complete with two bathrobes for our use. My wife was very jazzed about the bathrobes. Additionally, I enjoyed the blue-gray, cloth-linen chair, which was comfortable and provided an alternative to lying on the bed or sitting at the desk. The desk area was comfortable, as I worked remotely during my stay, and I had easy access to the hotel's WiFi, which allowed me to attend to my projects and take video calls. The bathroom is sleek and sophisticated, with a spacious toilet area and a walk-in shower with a clear-paneled door. The faucet is closer to the door, so when you first turn on the shower, you won't get wet from the shower head, which is situated deep enough in the stall that you can't determine the proper temperature. Very magical. Moreover, the bathroom's lighting features a sink mirror area that strikes the perfect balance between soft and hard, with a make-up mirror that allows for a closer look at your face and has its own built-in light. Additionally, the overall lighting is well-executed. If you have both sets of lights off, you still have a soft night light in case you wake up in the middle of the night and need to use the bathroom. The counter space is also spacious, with shelving for towels and the hair dryer, as well as room to store your and your spouse's toiletries and cosmetics. The experience was grand at the Loew's. If I wanted to do a staycation in Coral Gables the next time, instead of just working remotely as my wife has a conference, this hotel easily fits the bill.

First time staying here and I am not impressed. The location is fantastic. Lots of shops and great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel and rooms are nice. The rooftop pool was just OK. The carpet in the halls looked old and dirty. The cushions on the lounge chairs were all dirty and had stains on them which looked nasty. Had dinner at their restaurant American Kitchen 2 times. The first night the food and service were good, but not the 2nd time. Service was not sloooow and the restaurant was empty, coffee was awful and the napkin was full of holes. Pretty disappointing for what they charge.

Great , wonderful hotel! Food was ok. I had better. Would I stay here again, most likely not.

A decent enough, and relatively new hotel situated in Coral Gables. If you go to the 8th floor where the swimming pool is located it offers views of the area you are in. You can see down town Miami with the high rises and also the famous Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables.

We came here and ate at their restaurant. The hotel was super nice and loved the style and vibe. Everyone was super nice and welcoming as you enter the hotel. They also have a cute bakery breakfast area in the lobby! We need to come back and plan a staycation!

Room service - so delicious!! My cappuccino was excellent

My stay at Loews Coral Gables deserves a review. Here it goes. Prelude: Flight delayed by a couple of hours and my cab driver can't find the hotel. In his defense, I think the venue is so new, it's not showing up on several GPS systems. I even put it in my phone and Waze couldn't find the venue either. We could see the exit but never the entrance so my cabby who was tired of circling (my fare doubled ) went down the do not enter to get me to the hotel. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a wonderful scent as soon as the doors opened. It smelled like clean luxury. I wish I knew how they did that. Everyone is beyond courteous and helpful. I'm guided to the reception area where I'm greeted by Arabdula (I hope I'm spelling her name right). She was very pleasant and tried her best to find my non-existent reservation. I'm not sure if it was sleep deprivation or just pure human error and I didn't finalize it correctly, but my reservation is no where to be found. They can find my customer profile but no reservation. Getting back-up assistance from Benjamin, I was given water and a chance to take a break while they attempted to find my reservation. Unable to, Benjamin was able to accommodate my original booking request and got me set up to go as I had to get ready for a wedding that was starting in a few minutes. I get to my room and I'm happy with my room - it's so beautiful, clean and just like the pictures. I slept well, enjoyed my showers and the views from my room. I enjoyed room service throughout my stay and every single employee I encountered was beyond pleasant. My flight wasn't scheduled until the evening of my checkout day but of course Benjamin was very accommodating and extended my check out time. Even as I waited, Abraham helped me with checking my luggage while I dined at Americana Kitchen and hung out in the lobby. He was very helpful and an absolute delight to meet. I know this hotel just opened a few months ago, but I promise I see nothing but success for the hotel with these valuable employees and their commitment to excellent customer service.

We Stayed here two night Precruise with our kids and grandkids…read more My daughter upgraded us with her status so we ended up with a gorgeous balcony room- floor to ceiling windows and we were able to watch a fireworks show the first night. The status match actually got us free breakfast, thank goodness, As it was $37 pp plus tip for breakfast. I will say, though, it was an excellent breakfast spread. And the first morning included Huevo rancheros with Cotija cheese, the usual scrambled eggs, and a variety of breakfast meats and potatoes, as well as as they have an omelette station and a lot of variety of fruits, deli meats, pastries, oatmeal, and toppings. There really is quite a big selection here. Service was excellent as well. We had a king room with a balcony with the most amazing view of downtown- the bathroom had a huge marble, shower and philosophy, products for shampoo, lotion, etc. There is also a nice bar on the first floor that has food and drink and a decent wine selection as well as sports playing on the TV so we were able to catch a couple of NCAA women's champ games We did spend an afternoon at the pool, it is a decent size with a good number of loungers. There is a counter you can go to to order drinks and food, but it was odd. There was only one person working at this counter so when they disappeared to go pick up food, a lot of people were waiting. This is an interesting set up for such a nice hotel. I will say you are in a very walkable area with tons of restaurants and shops in the vicinity so take your time to familiarize yourself. We went to Motek tonight for some wonderful Israeli food and it was fantastic. If you want, cheap eats, there is a Pollo tropical around the corner. It was very late when we arrived and we just wanted some grilled chicken and this hit the spot for about 13 bucks. Well, it's not the most convenient area to the cruise port, it is very nice here and much quieter than the Biscayne Bay area, so definitely an up level if you like Staff have been very friendly and accommodating as well

Marriott Coral Gables Miami., how can you treat your customers this way?…read more I still can't believe this happened. On January 24, four women in our 60s and 70s arrived at the Courtyard Marriott Coral Gables for a confirmed reservation booked a month in advance through Marriott's website. We were leaving for a cruise from the Port of Miami the next morning. Instead of checking us in, we were told our room had been CANCELLED that morning because our credit card was "expired." No phone call. No email. No text. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member. There were no rooms available throughout the city due to a marathon. After hours of trying to figure out what to do, the hotel manager called the police on us for "trespassing." Clarida the manager treated us awful. It was a mistake of the hotel not us. Yes -- four, travel-weary, senior women with nowhere to go were escorted out by police and told us we can't stay. Need to go somewhere else for night. The only option was the Miami International Airport. And get this: When I got home, I discovered the hotel had successfully charged my credit card at 5:30AM that same day. No accountability. No empathy. No returned calls from management. I've been leaving voicemails for days. Travelers cruising out of Miami -- be careful where you book. No one should start a vacation like this.

No call etc. Funny my friend came home to find Marriott had charged her card that morning. I asked if we could stay in the conference room since we could not find a room anywhere. The Manager stated she didn't know if the rooms are being used and the people in charge are off on weekends so she could not find out if they were empty. She said we had to be out by 11:00 p.m. We continued trying to find lodging. At 9:14 p.m. with no warning 4 Police Officers arrive to charge us with trespassing. 4 squad cars with lights flashing. They asked for our ID's and wrote us up. They escorted out. We spent a terrible night at the Miami airport.

Before getting into the experience, let me address the two things you'll see in other reviews. 1. Yes, you do need a rental car. But this is a five star hotel and you should be arriving with one anyway. Renting a Mustang convertible through Avis runs around $200, which beats repeated Ubers to the beach and frankly adds to the experience. 2. There is a dress code at dinner. Pants and no flip flops for guys. The staff make this very clear at check in, so there are no surprises. Now for the hotel itself. The service is genuinely exceptional. I left my phone in the car at the valet and within five minutes it was delivered to my room without me ever asking. That kind of attentiveness is rare and sets the tone for the entire stay. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is warm and professional, and the pool is top tier. Speaking of the pool, the drinks are great and the views can't be beat. You also have access to the beach on 14th street and ocean drive which gives you two chairs, an umbrella and towels. Highly recommend taking advantage of this amenity too. Finally, if you have an Amex Platinum, book through FHR. The complimentary breakfast and pool drink credits make an already incredible stay feel like an even better value.

We booked a City View Executive Suite about 2 months in advance and requested quiet, high-floor, non-connecting, away from elevators. Our room wasn't ready until nearly 5pm, and we were placed in Room 329 on the 3rd floor (of 7 guest floors), steps from the elevator, street-facing over the front entrance. Room was clean, but the placement didn't match our request. Isabelle's is a highlight -- excellent breakfast (eggs, sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal, power shots). Room service exceeded expectations: the chicken soup was top 5 I've ever had. Complimentary happy hour was also great (house Chardonnay was surprisingly good). We also received a $50/day F&B credit and breakfast for two (worth noting: breakfast can run $80-$100+ for two if paying out of pocket). Big downside: noise -- late-night piped-in music (called around 2-3am), loud Commodore bar vibe, nearby construction, and 1.5 hours of drilling next door on our last day. Shout-outs to Christina Strong (front desk--proactive and empathetic), Lucas at Isabelle's, and Steve (bellman) -- all excellent. Amazing walkable area (Koko, Narbona, waterfront paths), but room placement and noise management didn't match the Ritz price tag.
