Service and drinks were amazing. Definitely a great spot for a business meeting. Ambiance was very classy and somewhat quiet. We truly enjoyed it

The Commodore inside the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove is a smaller ish bar. The bar itself is very elegant with dark wood accents and dimmed lighting. The place itself is very intimate and sexy. The couches are big, brown leather couches that you would see at a faculty lounge at an Ivy League school. There's something about those old school big brown leather couches that hits the right aesthetic for me! They're cozy, comfy and sexy all at the same time! The place has a fireplace with shelves full of books to each end of the fire! Perfect for a relaxing time while waiting for a flight or your next business trip "talk with strangers at the bar" kind of night! I really enjoyed their cheese platter, pizza and French fries! The bar itself is really pretty with all the usual liquor bottles displayed ever so strategically to entice you to get another drink! Really love the lighting in this place! It's perfect to cozy up next to someone sexy! There's also an outdoor area which is nice if you wanna get some fresh air!

We came in for happy hour and we were so pleasantly surprised. We live in the area and didn't even know this place existed! The feel is like an old school cigar lounge/library. They even have a fireplace! Happy Hour is daily from 5p-7p. The HH menu has a great selection of bites and cocktails. You also have the ability to order the full menu from Isabelle's. We sat the bar and Jay was extremely helpful with suggestions and we also had great conversation. This place was a hidden gem for us. I hesitated letting the cat out of the bag with this review- but I can't be selfish and keep this great experience away from my fellow Yelpers!

This is one of the more posh options of hidden yet premium bars in Coconut Grove that I like to come to. Tucked away inside the Ritz-Carlton, you'll find this sultry bar that is so much more than just an addition to a hotel. Upon my most recent visit, I opted for two espresso martinis in efforts to kill time before my dinner resy nearby. Not only is the service on point but so are their cocktails. Bar bites are offered alongside your drink as the elegantly decorated seating area amongst their wood-panelled walls set the mood. Everything is nicer at the Ritz and this bar is the perfect way to aim for such. It's a higher end option for those elegant nights where a dive bar isn't suffice so dress accordingly. There's plenty of meter parking around the hotel so feel free to stop by when in the area. It won't disappoint!

Showed up to the commodore for their weekend happy hour specials. What a great experience ! The cocktails on the happy hour menu are delicious and well crafted. They also have some bites on the happy hour menu. I really enjoyed the penicillin, and I had a chance to try the slider and it was also delicious ! I would highly recommend this bar for happy hour, or as a nice cocktail bar with a great environment.

I love this bar! We are staying at The Ritz for our anniversary weekend and decided to grab a drink here after dinner. This bar has such good vibes, live music, a cozy atmosphere and great drinks. What's better than that!? Hubby got an espresso martini and I got the French 47. It was the most expensive cocktail I've ever had at $36, but so worth it! It tasted amazing! So refreshing and light, I ordered 2 lol. It was anniversary weekend, yolo. Service was friendly and relaxed. So classy and refined. Drinks are more pricey than normal but they are top notch. Hubby said his espresso martini was probably the best he's had in Miami. I loved this spot for a drink. Looks like they have a nice happy hour as well.

Nice, intimate bar located inside of the ritz Carlton in coral gables. It was a nice time and the bartenders were super friendly and helpful. The decor inside was well designed with comfortable seating all around, dim lighting at night, and a small book case so this it gives the vibes of a speakeasy. Stop by for a drink for date night, you won't regret it.

One for the best happy hours in south Florida ! Everything is 7-10 dollars and the quality you can't beat. The staff is attentive and the best part is that it is never packed or a rush at the bar !

Excellent service and well priced happy hour menu and specials every day 5-7. The interior has a comfy feel with a fireplace, large leather chairs, and a wall of built in library shelves. The wings were flavorful not spicy hot. And the cheese board was fun and filling.

One of my favorite bar in the grove. A perfect place to discuss books over a delicious drink. The vibe is perfect for a low key night or an intellectual conversation with dim lighting. A real fireplace btw for those chilly nights in Miami ;) but seriously you forget that you're in Miami inside this lovely place. Best of all is the bartenders. All of them are amazing! I feel right at home and well we come here every month to discuss the latest book. The chocolate budino tart is a must! It was nice to be able to order from Isabelle's there. Didn't get the photo but I also got the house wings which were delicious and their spicy rub is on point! Looking forward to happy hour next Sunday! :)

We've been coming here for a couple of our Book Club meetups & absolutely love how accommodating the staff all around! We're a rambunctious crowd, so their patience with us is highly appreciated! Their happy hour menu has some great selections, including some delicious Cocktails! Their Chotizo Manchego Croquettas are a must to try during HH. The setting of old Florida is one of the things I love the most about this place - the bar is something out of a 1920s drinking den!

Sitting at the commodore drinking a old fashion made me feel like I was in a movie. I felt like a was in a narco meeting making a deal. The vibes felt like money. This is a great spot to have a meeting and discuss business. I loved it.

Impressed. Beautiful bar with speakeasy vibes at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove. I had a refreshing gin & tonic with my friends during our holiday party in December. The staff was great & so were the cocktails. They seem to have a nice Happy Hour from 4-6 that i look forward to trying soon! Cheers.

The food, the cocktails, the service were all top notch. This was not the same place I disliked so much a few years ago. We all had pan con tomate, croquetas, a delicious, crisp salad, and the thickest and fluffiest French toast. So, I stand corrected. Level 6 was fabulous, cool, with great service and delicious food. The fire dancer, the drum player, and those beautiful views were the perfect mix. We had made reservations ahead of time which I would recommend if you plan on seating and having a bite. While we waited for our table we stood by the bar and each ordered a fabulous cocktail. The menu had it all to suit everyone's needs whatever your spirit of choice. Once seated we really just enjoyed the whole experience. We sat at a spacious table with one seating comfy enough for three and ottoman's for the rest of our party. We were comfortable as we were a party of 6. Pictures, gossip, and laughs persisted. We all ordered and shared tasty appetizers. Our spread consisted of truffle fries, grilled octopus, shrimp, potato bravas, tuna tartare, fish croquette, pan con tomate with, manchego cheese, and chicken paella. We were a happy bunch and everything we tried we all loved. As we finished with more cocktails and a surprise birthday treat, a deejay began to play and kept the mood going. Really such a nice spot for dinner, drinks, entertainment, and views.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.
