Big fail on the people in charge there. Setting up your workers with ill equipment. Meanwhile line was backed up. No one to help her. Coffee was out, no popcorn. Room was ok, shower looks dirty. Most expensive hotel in 5 days and most disappointing. Not even a free breakfast for everyone. Not a place I would recommend. I hate giving restaurants and hotels bad reviews, as I understand that everyone has bad days. However, I stayed here back in July when my niece has a softball tournament and the day we left and got home I realized I had forgotten something in the room. I called right away with the room number and they had already found said item and told me they would mail it out the next day. I waited a couple of weeks and when I hadn't received it I called again, but it has been almost two months now and I have yet to receive this item. read more

When you're on a business trip and have to request housekeeping on a suite that's $199 a night and you have to clean it yourself! Will not stay here again! Actually told housekeeping we were leaving and the young lady said okay! Come back, room is not clean. The next day, come back after being gone for approximately 10 hours room not clean. Inform the front desk and they say it's nothing they can do as that is not their job. Leave out the next day, with expectations that the room will be cleaned..... nada!!! Even reminded the front desk in the evening to have the room cleaned the next day. Spoke to the front desk to have the room cleaned that day.... Nothing! Hoping it's not because of the color they saw! Wednesday-Monday and not once was it clean. Had to clean it myself as though I was at home and look at the mattress! If I could no stars I would. The consideration and treatment of a human is lacking by the management. I was locked out of my room with my infant son for multiple hours in the hallway after midnight because the security latch for the door was tripped. My sons food and necessities were in the room. I am a nursing mother and my breastfeeding and pumping supplies were also in the room. I was engorged, my son was uncomfortable and screaming. No one could get the door open until after 1am. The room was an adjoining room but it was on a pilot floor so they were not willing to go through and disturb the (possible) other guest to access our room. I say possible because they didn't check to see if the room was actually occupied. After hours of the traumatic experience with my baby, the night staff member said she would wave the cost of the night for us. Once we got home we saw we had our points deducted and were charged for the night. I have called Marriott and the hotel manager since July leaving message after message. The manager sends me to voice-mail and has blatantly ignored me for months. read more

This is by far the worst service I have received from hotel staff in a long time and to be a Marriot Bonvoy member and have stayed at Four Points hotels in the past, I'm appalled at the treatment and service I received during my 5 day stay. No housekeeping for the entire stay even after I talked to the front desk staff. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this one I have to. On day for the front desk worker, Ashley. Had to bring a cat of supplies, towels and sheets and blankets to my room. My girlfriend is doing the housekeeping, meaning, she is making the bed and sticking the towels and coffee and such. Ashley at the front desk was the highlight of our stay! Pizza at Uno was wonderful. Hallway could use a good dusting, especially the light fixtures, Room was clean for the most part, sheets and bedding were below average for a hotel. Shampoo and conditioner were both empty! Almost wanted to take away another star because of this alone. Terrible shower design having to reach through the spray area to turn on the water. Would have been nice if they informed us the pool and hot tub would be closed before we booked a non refundable room. read more

My hotel stay went very well. In spite of the fact I was in town for my grandmother's funeral, I felt some respite at Four Points. One negative is there's no continental breakfast. I was here a couple weeks ago for my work Christmas party. The room was great, we were only there for the night, it was super happy. Only Giving it a 4 because our room was ready for check in time at 3pm and we didn't get to check in until almost four, usually wouldn't have been an issue but we had to get ready for the party. However Ashley at the front desk was super nice and offered to call me when the room was ready, we ended up just checking back with her about 4pm and our room was ready, before she had a chance to call us. I would definitely stay here again. We were near the one elevator at the end of a hall, it was a little noisy but not bad. The bed was totally not comfortable, pretty firm, but otherwise not a bad room at all. read more

Stayed here for one night before a conference and had a nice time. It's not terribly frou frou but it's nice and clean with big comfy beds at a super affordable rate. The bathrooms are a little teeny tiny with a shower only but for one night it was perfect. The lobby looks like it has undergone a bit of an upgrade and had some nice decorative touches inside. The conference spaces were also comfortable and the staff was awesome and really on top of taking care of the guests. Parking is ample, there's an indoor/outdoor pool open till 11pm and the fitness room is open 24 hours. It's not huge but it as a couple of treadmills, ellipticals (with TV screens if you're like me and like to ignore the fact you're working out with some trashy TV), some yoga mats and free weights. Also, they've got helpfulness on lock. I forgot my headphones and wanted to take advantage of the tvs on the treadmill. I went to the front desk and the nice fella there gave me a complimentary pair to use and keep. Nice touch! read more

I recently visited the hotel and the hotel suite was not update by any means! Stay away from the 6th floor!!! I was very disappointed. First, I was given the wrong room; in addition to, the requested towels and pillows were not in the room. I called down and spoke with Olivia, the front desk clerk and she could not assist with the room but bought up the requested towels and pillows. That we checked into the hotel at 3am on a Saturday, I had to wait to speak to Jarod Benjamin. Jarod Benjamin is the front desk supervisor. He did not care nor offer to fix the problem with the wrong rooms. He advised the hotel only had three rooms that had a large shower in it and those rooms were booked. He blamed Marriott's customer service for the mistake but the customer service rep called the hotel before booking my room...WHICH MEANS it was the hotel rep that provided the customer service rep with the WRONG ROOM. Which, I explained that to Jarod Benjamin but again, he did not care nor offer a remedy. The same night, the heat went out in the room and once again, Olivia came to the room to attempt to fix the heat but was not able to fix it. Whatever she did, it caused the fan to blow cold air. Once again, we were not offered another room. My husband asked Olivia and she was unable to answer that question but offered a space heater. NOW, what hotel has space heaters readily available???!!! I asked and she stated the space heater was for the back office. The day I left I asked for a late check out and I was only granted 30 mins from Jarod Benjamin. I advised Jarod Benjamin of how awful the stay was but once again...he did not give a shit. He only asked me to not use his last name in the review and advised me of how I will be charged after the 30 mins. I hung up on him and immediately called Marriott's customer service and opened up a case. Now, after all the above...the toilet paper dispenser broke, the downs pillow needs to be replace due to the feathers coming out, there was hair in the bed and hair in shower which was in my complaint. At the end of all this, the hotel closed the case and did NOTHING to resolve this horrible stay. ONCE AGAIN, THE HOTEL DID NOTHING..THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY, Lodgco Management DID NOTHING. Marriott themselves did give me 8000 points but as I explained to Kim, the Marriott customer service rep that was not what I was asking for but I am appreciative. I paid over $400 for this horrible service and thinking about calling my credit card regarding this as well. read more

My first trip here to this hotel and hopefully my last. The front desk staff was unpleasant...after requesting to change rooms bc my room was on a low floor directly next to to elevator...(and as previous reviewers mentioned.... this hotel is LOUD) I was told there were no other rooms. I asked to speak to a manager....who proceeded to tell me that unless I had platinum status with SPG (I'm going on 10+ years of alternating gold/plat status- and I'm two stays away from platinum this year) he couldn't help me. Also- no breakfast, fitness facility was old and treadmills both inoperative. Rooms- DIRTY. Yellowed sheets/towels, moldy shower. Room smelled terrible. Actually- now that I wrote this... The lobby is very nice and the service was great. They all smile and are very helpful. Our room was decent, but it smelled gross when we first walked in. Like a hospital and not in the clean way. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were soft and the shower was nice. But the towels were not very neat looking. There was a bag of food from the last guests in the fridge which is a bit concerning. The shower door didn't shut all the way. There was no continental breakfast. Update - after the renovations in late 2014 were completed, what a nice change! Everything is fresh, modern, and inviting. The beds are so very comfy, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The indoor/outdoor pool is still here, yay! Water temp is still on the cold side, would like to see that improved. The addition of Uno Chicago Grill was a nice touch - full bar, large menu with something for everyone (hint: try the ultimate margarita) and also room service (breakfast/lunch/dinner) serviced by Uno's. Only gripe is the free breakfast that Four Points Sheraton was famous for is sadly, no longer. :( But in turn - room service for breakfast! I'll take it! I's a good trade-off. The lobby, gym, pool area, guest rooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean. Each room has a 40-inch (?) flatscreen as is the norm these days. Mini-fridge, microwave, single-cup coffee maker, free bottled water and free WiFI are included with every room. Woot! All in all, a pretty good deal if you ask me. Also, if you're a frequent traveler like me and rack up those SPG points, you can get a free night at this location for 3,000 points. Or use 2,000 points and $35.00 plus tax. Can't beat that kind of deal! Saving the best for last - when we checked in yesterday afternoon, Makayla was at the front desk to check us in. She. Is. Awesome!!! She was so friendly, efficient, and professional. She honored our request for a pool-access room and we were SO thrilled!! I have to say, Makayla is a Customer Service Superstar. Awesome staff! Really went above and beyond for our first stay in Saginaw:) Hotel is getting an updated Resturant soon and the staff was extra helpful during the renovation. The parking and entry are spacious - which is helpful for people traveling with a trailer or large vehicle-- by comparison the Hampton & Holiday parking lots were cramped. Room was clean --styled for a young travel set --and very comfortable. Ice machine is on main floor only. Elevators are a hike to the back of building. Pool is indoor outdoor. Overall, price, parking, and mostly the friendly staff make this the place to stay when in Saginaw! read more

Worst hotel I have ever been too. Severely overbooked. Rooms booked with two beds included a bed and a pull out or a roll away. The staff was rude and unhelpful. I would defiantly not recommend this hotel. Motel 6 would probably be better. read more

Horrible! This was a first experience in this particular hotel. I typically stay at the Hampton Inn due to honors status, but it was full, so I turned to this place as an SPG member, periodically staying at Westins. While I knew this would not be the Westin, I thought it would be tolerable. I visited the front desk to ask for a glass for my wine i had brought... typically in hotels, if requested by a guest, the request is honored~ not here. I was told I had to visit the bar and ask for one, where i was declined the wine glass... I needed to purchase wine at the bar, but could have a disposable plastic cup, which of course I already had in my room. What happened to making a guest comfortable? I understand the reasoning, but i did just pay over $160 for a pool view (in 11 degree weather ) ~ the least you could do is give me a glass to pour my wine in, to relax in my room. Relaxing no way... very loud, the walls are thin. I could hear TVs blaring, showers running (as if it were in my own room), people yelling like buffoons at 3am, and doors slamming. The toilet ran intermittently through the night, as well as the old mini fridge. To top off this luxurious stay, the breakfast they promised from 6:30-10am did not exist. I went with my $9.00 breakfast voucher to the Uno breakfast area, and the doors were locked... at 6:30 am AND 6:45 am. I questioned the person at the desk (which by the way no one was ever attending)... waiting all the time for someone to make an appearance (two other times) and he scrambled and said "oh hold on, I'll get it unlocked." Ummm, pass~ no thank you, so i can wait another hour for them to get prepared? I actually had to be at work, to work!!! McDonald's got my business this morning. This should be open and welcoming guests as advertised. I have never had an experience like this anywhere else~ I travel weekly for work. This is shameful, lackluster, careless service. Get it together, stop being lazy & rude. read more

Showed up here exhausted In the early am after a series of disastrous flights. Was told sorry the computer system was updating so I could not be checked in. Luckily there are plenty of other hotels in the area. My Starwood gold card will be passed on to the grandchildren to play with. I won't be using it again. read more

The one staff member I talked to was nice but that doesn't make up for the low quality hotel. Room was dirty and smelled like the monkey cage at a zoo. Wifi signal was so weak I could barely use it on one device and not at all on 2 others. Thermostat didn't work so my room was freezing cold the entire time. No mini fridge as promised so the food I bought went bad. Shower was so powerful it was actually painful. Elevator was broken. People smoking all over the pool area. Also very loud - kids screaming all over the place, you can hear everything happening in the room next to you. read more

Pretty good place to stay. One downfall is the lack of breakfast. They try to make up for it by offering a 15% discount at IHOP, but still not that impressive. Front desk staff were very nice. The hotel complex is pretty large and connected to Uno pizza. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to eat there, but smelled good! Rooms were typical...clean, nice, and roomy. read more

The contract was signed and then two months later I was told through email they were double booked and could not accommodate me. I have reached out and not heard back. After having a horrible experience at another hotel in the area, Nicole was SO helpful at the front desk! She let us go check out the room before booking, and seriously the most peaceful sleep! Plus if it was summer it would have been so much more amazing because our room was a poolside room with sliding doors that takes you right out to pool! Any and all staff we ran into was incredible and so helpful, and 100% professional and accommodating!!!! I will be back and will be using Four Points hotels in the future! THANK YOU!!!!! read more
