Palmas is a gorgeous area and the surrounding area is beautiful! It was amazingly clean and safe. You are locked behind security gates that are monitored 24/7. I can't say enough how well kept the place is. There seemed to be more landscapers than clients. The hotel itself is spectacular! Check in was easy and fast. Every one speaks English so you don't have to worry. Parking is next door to the hotel and again very safe. Our room was extremely well kept each day. There is a safe, coffee machine and small fridge. The bed is one of the best I've experienced. It's like you're sleeping in a marshmallow. We sat at the cafe for drinks and lunch one day. Not going to lie the prices are on the higher side but remember this is what you pay for. We had dinner at the restaurant on site called Travo. I had the octopus, she had the grouper. We ordered a bottle of Processo. The food passed all our expectations. This restaurant was an easy 5 star. Service and friendliness went with it. I did not mind dropping some coin on it. The hotel has 2 pools. One with a swim up bar plus a pizza oven. I'm deaf but My girlfriend says they play music the whole time. The other pool was very isolated. A great place to find your peace. We had such an amazing time together here. We even got off the property a few times for dinner. We rented a golf cart. That's $85 dollars for 24 hours. We had a blast discovering all the turtles and looking at all the houses. We are already talking about coming back. Highly recommend coming for an amazing get away.

The one thing that can kill a review for me is the staff or having a problem with what I pay for. Had problems with my food and how it took forever. Watched people come up to pool side bar ,order food and then get theres before me. Then it comes out and was cold. Was told one burger would be taken off then was argued with when it wasnt. It was eventually taken off but after the headache was acquired. Maybe it wasnt someone's day but come on. Im on vacation, help me out and just chill

It is one of the largest gated communities in the Caribbean. Crescent Cove is located directly on Crescent Beach and features a decent size round pool. This is the reason we chose to rent here versus many of the other condo complexes and private homes within Palmas del Mar. Many other rentals require you to drive to get to the beach, but our group wanted to be able to walk there. Crescent Cove is walking distance to the casino at the Wyndham Hotel, which is a plus. To reach other restaurants and shopping in Palmas del Mar, however, you'll need a vehicle. The only day that the beach and pool area was crowded during the week that we were there was on Easter Sunday. The rest of the week we were pretty much the only people around. The pool and beach are open from about 8am until 10pm, and then they close a gate to lock access to the beach. Beach and pool lounge chairs are provided. The beach itself, is decent. There was a lot of seaweed that washed up while we were there, but it was still a good time.

To my surprise I saw the villa on crescent cove and from the outside they had a picture of the villa that I liked (come to find out that picture was taken across the other hotel where we stayed) Now the inside pictures were pretty nice as well (but it didnt show the long flights of "stairs" to each room) basically what I saw I didnt get, so with what I thought I saw we all booked to stay there. Fast forward to when we arrived, in my mind I thought it was an orange villa but No! It was a God awful Grey and the paint was chipping off the stairs outside and it was dirty. It just look like it needed to be renovated and updated, all in all that totally threw me off my mood. Inside was nice, the furniture was pretty modern and was neat but not so clean, the rooms were ok. I had to settle for the room on the 3rd floor (Great!!!!!) that had a 32' TV, it just didnt make Sense (i Needed binoculars to watch the TV) when the smallest room on the 2nd floor had like a 40' TV, its not about the TV it's the principle. Beds were comfy at least! What disturbed me the most is we all decided to go food shopping to later find out the refrigerator wasnt working, we called and they came that nite to fix it, then the next day the microwave wasnt working we had to re-heat on the electric stove but thankfully the next day they came with another microwave, Then .... (hold on, there's more) We made breakfast on the griddle flat bread maker thing and the socket blew out, now we had to find a socket that worked placing the griddle maker on a chair. By this point I was ready to get another villa, but to carry everything back down the steps smh was not happening .... uuugh what a nightmare. To end off I wouldn't stay their even if they paid me!

If you want a relaxing not hectic trip this would be where you want to go. If you have a rental car it isn't terribly far from some touristy areas keep in mind traffic is a bear around San Juan, but it has its own plaza with a variety of restaurants that is walkable to get to. 2 pools available, one with a bar available at it. There is no hot tub which was disappointing but the pools are nice. The rooms are nice size, decent kitchen with almost everything you need to cook with if you don't want to go out to the restaurants. They're not run down and out dated but not ultra modern. The air works almost too well I had to turn the temperature up at times to not freeze myself out. The outdoor lounge area was nice but if you're by the canal there is a funny smell which I'm not sure what it is but hard to describe, I wouldn't say rotten but almost sewer like. Anyway besides the few qwircks it is a decent place to stay.

I've always wanted to spend more time in Luquillo, and after seeing the consistently high ratings on Expedia and TripAdvisor--along with its beachfront location--I decided to give it a try. The property itself is older, but don't let that deter you. The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made for a very relaxing stay. I loved the balcony and watching the ocean from so close! Beautiful sunrise too. Check-in is more laid-back, so don't expect a traditional front desk experience with someone always present. That said, the communication was excellent. I really appreciated that they reached out via text ahead of time to ask about my arrival--it was a thoughtful touch. I arrived earlier than the standard check-in time (as I had mentioned), and there were no issues at all. When I rang the bell, a staff member promptly came out to assist me and greeted me with a warm smile. There's also a very popular restaurant and bar on-site with an amazing-looking menu. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try it this time, but it's definitely on the list for our next visit. The location is another big plus--easy to find, right on the beach, and conveniently close to a Walgreens and other nearby beaches to explore. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

We paid a little extra for a room with a balcony, but found that it only meant a room with sliding glass doors rather than an actual space to sit outside. We were also disappointed to find that the fitness center was closed for renovations and the laundry room was not yet operational. Beware of the mandatory resort fees! We reserved a room for one night through a reputable 3rd party and when we checked in to the hotel, we were told that we'd have to pay an extra $10 for parking each night. We didn't have any other parking options since it is located in the middle of a large gated community, and we accepted the fee. However, we were surprised and frustrated to find a mysterious $40 fee on our bill when we checked out, in addition to the $10 parking fee noted on the bill. It wasn't explained on the bill, so we called to ask what it was for. It was a mandatory resort fee and they explained that they were not required to disclose that to us ahead of time. They told us it was up to the company we reserved the room through to notify us of the additional mandatory fees and that we should contact them. However, Wyndham's own website doesn't disclose that they charge this required fee, unless you go through several steps of clicking on fine print after making a reservation. I'm not sure what amenities this fee was supposed to pay for, other than the pool, since the property didn't offer anything else other than on site restaurants and our reservation only covered the cost of the room. When we called the company we reserved the hotel through, they explained that the hotel did not disclose this fee to them and is not required to, so there was little they could do to help us. In the end, we got a small refund because several of the advertised amenities were not available at the time we stayed.

The only logical explanation is that this policy makes the room prices appear to cost about $200 a night less than the real charges. Otherwise, why not just raise the advertised price by 20%? There is no doubt the property is in a gorgeous location, sitting directly on the ocean. The buildings are in good condition and the staff is courteous. But, I experienced several shortfalls compared to my expectations for this price point. The suites are provided a "butler," but the available hours are 10am to 6pm. The service would be more accurately described as a concierge. Bringing coffee in the morning is not on the list of duties, nor assisting with unpacking or packing or other typical butler activities. Sending out laundry the day before my departure, I asked to have it folded so it would be easier to pack. Everything came back on hangers. My room did not receive turn-down service and fresh towels during the third night of my stay. I asked to have a car booked to the airport from the hotel. The butler got it backwards and booked it from the airport to the hotel. Good thing that I took a close look at the confirmation and noticed the routing was backwards. The breakfast restaurant, Ola, is extremely crowded in the morning with a 30 to 60 minute wait being typical in my experience. The front of the property is in a skeevy neighborhood so walking somewhere else for breakfast isn't a realistic option. It's not bad, but also not a top tier. property.
