Condado Vanderbilt Hotel located in Sanjuan, Puerto Rico gave a classic feel on a hotel. It reminded me of an old style New York City hotel with an island vibe. I love the view we were granted with an overview of the ocean, the room was spacious, the dining area had plenty of room with a nice table for breakfast and a wet bar area. The hotel is right on the strip with plenty to do and conveniently located next to STK for dinner... walking distance.

Having a wonderful stay here for NYE and our honeymoon! The hotel is beautiful and classy. The staff is incredible!!!! I can't say enough about how sweet they were. We booked via Amex and recieve alot of extra benefits that they walked us through. There were no upgraded rooms available due to the holiday but they gave us $100 hotel credit without even asking. They also sent a bottle of Moet and a happy honeymoon card. 10/10 recommend this hotel for a special occasion.

The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel was a very good choice for my birthday celebration stay, this year. Besides the fact that is in a centric location, the service was phenomenal and it made for a great experience. It was great to be greeted with a glass of champagne and water after a late flight. I felt pampered and enjoyed all their services-From their piano bar/ restaurant, to their Spa, pools and their bar with view to the ocean. It was a very pleasant experience.

I've stayed here twice and don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else when in San Juan. The building is gorgeous and historic. The lobby smells amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Customer service has always been good.

High-end Hotel with options Lovely expensive hotel with killer beach front views, how's a girl on a budget able to enjoy? Simple, you can always have lunch at the hotel!! It is the perfect way to spend time at the hotel without breaking the proverbial bank. We arrived at this beautiful hotel on our last day, we wanted to soak in the sun and live it up at the beach. The food was delicious and beautiful, the drinks were tropical and lovely. The bathroom was upscale and classy. If you get the chance, you can either stay at the hotel or eat at their restaurant. Happy traveling and enjoy!!

Upgraded to the penthouse! Fantastic room! Great views up and down the main street, fantastic sunsets.

Hands down, best experience in Puerto Rico so far. Thank you Shae for that A++ star treatment! You TRULY made this surgeon's vacation easy. Shae helped me with planning my entire stay, suggesting venues in Old San Juan and which companies to trust when going to Vieques! We go to Puerto Rico every year for a week to visit family and usual stay at a different nice hotel. However, we decided to splurge since I graduated from my surgery program and am making big bucks and are now going to be loyal Vanderbilt guests for life!

The Vanderbilt is an historic hotel. Originally built at the beginning of the 20th century, it has undergone many renovations and was restored to its former glory about 10 years ago. The decor of the lobby is warm, rich, and elegant. The staff is always willing to help. Our rooms had balconies with city views. They were fine, but considering the price I thought they could be a bit nicer. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower, but not much counter space. Snacks are complimentary and we ordered our fair share of chocolate bars! In order to use the fridge, you will have to take out all of the mini bar beverages. The main pool is lovely. It is located on the second floor, so the chaises look right over the ocean. All of the beaches in Puerto Rico are public. The hotel has chairs and towels available on a small part of Condado Beach. On that side of the hotel you will also find the small adult pool and jacuzzi. The hotel has several restaurants, including STK. We only ate at the restaurant near the pool when we arrived. The restaurant was good but it was a pricey lunch. Everything at the Vanderbilt will be pricier than most other places, including the spa and even cocktails. There is no casino on the premises, but you can walk a block to the the La Concha, a Marriott managed hotel that has a lot going on as opposed to the more refined Vanderbilt. The hotel worked for this vacation, it there are definitely other hotels I would try next time.

It simply feels like luxury! And when you're greeted with champagne upon check-in, you certainly feel like royalty. Spacious. Beautiful views. We had a not-so-mini fridge that had drinks stocked and I still had room to add the fruits and water I brought with us. The staff show great attention to your needs. And we dined at two restaurants on site. Valet parking is worth getting.

Beautiful oceanfront restaurant with a white variety of choices. On the pricey side, but worth it for the quality and views.

They recommended so many amazing places to eat and shop, in and out of the property. The prices for food on the property were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for food choices. The big Concha restaurant on the property is absolutely gorgeous at night but it is a bit pricier than the other food options on the property. There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

The A/C sucks in the room, it doesn't get cold. The shower sometimes will warm up, one of the lights on side was broken and stayed on all night, had to cover it with something. 3. This place is for freshly 21 year olds or people who enjoy getting trashed. So it's loud here. 4. The "adult pool" is literally nothing special, the water is warm, the edge of the pool you can look out to the beach with trash. 5. The lobby looks good but that's about all this place has going for it--better to visit than stay. Tbh just stay somewhere more west of here, seems to be better hotels.

The holiday atmosphere was festive, welcoming, and perfectly captured the spirit of Puerto Rico. A special thank you to Lemuel Gonzalez and the concierge and management staff for going above and beyond with recommendations, Jean and the reservations team, and making everything seamless from start to finish. The moon bar staff were fantastic--friendly, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable and having a great time. The beach staff was equally amazing, creating a relaxing and effortless beach experience right outside the hotel. We also want to give a huge shoutout to the pool bar/DJ team for their incredible hospitality, great drinks, and vibrant energy--it became one of our favorite spots to unwind and celebrate with the classic salsa songs I grew up listening to. Brought back so many memories of my childhood. Because of the outstanding service and warm hospitality from the entire staff, our family celebration felt truly special, and we created memories we'll cherish forever. We can't wait to return and highly recommend the Condado Plaza Hotel to anyone visiting Puerto Rico, especially during the holidays.

I found a hair clip beside the bed, a contact lens on the bathroom floor, and a long strand of straight hair in the room. These findings made me question the overall cleanliness standards. The hotel also had a noticeable moldy smell throughout parts of the property, and it seemed to lack proper upkeep and maintenance. While the location is convenient and the views are nice, the condition of the hotel did not meet my expectations. Overall, the hotel served its purpose for a short stay, but I would choose a different property if I were planning a longer vacation in Puerto Rico.

So, there is no excuse to not book! A locally owned hotel (and hotel group) run by exceptional staff. Aranxa and Kritzy went above and beyond for our family. Room service and cleaning were top notch. The food at the upstairs restaurant was exceptional, and offered some local cuisine. The downstairs restaurant had private parties every day and night during our stay. So, we sadly were unable to visit. Edwmar and valet opened doors for us continously and made sure our luggage was loaded. An exceptional team! I did not want to dock stars, as this is locally run. However, I do want to be honest about the rooms. Due to design of the hotel, the rooms are an ecochamber for sound and light. Please bring a white noise machine (or three) and black out eye pillows. Due to the noise, we were unable to sleep - as you hear every elevator ding, when it passes the floor, and any noise in the hallway and within other rooms. We did attempt to use our phones and noise machine all on loud but it didn't cut out the noise. There were girls screaming and slamming doors every night of our stay. While it was miserable to go without sleep, the staff were exceptional.

We were greeted warmly and offered complimentary champagne, which gave us high expectations for our stay. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill after we entered our room. There were rose petals left under the fridge area, clearly indicating the room had not been properly cleaned. Even worse, there was a blood stain on the bed. The refrigerator was also making a loud, disruptive noise. We immediately brought both the blood stain and the fridge issue to the attention of the front desk. They apologized and offered to change the sheets and send maintenance to fix the fridge. We left for dinner assuming everything would be resolved by the time we returned. When we got back around 9 PM--after a long day of traveling--the room was still being worked on, which delayed our ability to rest. We were finally able to settle in around 9:30 PM. While the fridge noise stopped, it then began leaking afterward. To make matters worse, we paid an additional $50 per person for breakfast. The menu options were extremely limited, and the only available choice was the "classic breakfast." The scrambled eggs were undercooked and wet in the middle, the bacon was somehow both limp and overcooked, and the toast was burnt beyond enjoyment. It was incredibly disappointing, especially given the extra charge. I again expressed my concerns to the front desk, including the cleanliness issues and the breakfast experience. I was told someone would follow up with me the next day. They confirmed my phone number and email address--but I never received a call or email. No apology, no resolution, no attempt to make things right. For the price and four-star expectation, this stay fell far below acceptable standards in cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and customer service follow-up. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and would not recommend staying here based on my experience.
