Pretty decent selection of wine and liquor if you need to pick up something to pair with dinner after going to Weggies :) inventory doesn't go super deep but you'll find your basics. Staff iaee very nice and helpful. They also do have a customer loyalty program which can add up to discounts. read more

Not my normal liquor store to shop at however when I'm out in the Greece area and need a quick gift ... They have a nice selection of whiskey (personal favorite) the layout is easy to navigate. Stock up early on seasonal drinks they tend to sell out quickly. Flavored Seltzer's went really fast last year. Staff is friendly but overly pushy (big plus) Some items seem more expensive here but only by a few dollars. Again, when I'm in the area it's convenient. read more

Came in while killing time waiting for a hair cut next door. I'm glad I did because I stumbled upon our new liquor store. Compared to other stores in the area this one is enormous! Huge selection on everything. Decent prices from what I saw and I owner I believe was friendly greeted every customer that walked in. So long other stores! read more

As Nicole mentioned, this is location is super convenient to those shopping in the Ridgemont Plaza in Greece. I don't shop for wine, but I have noticed the prices for liquor range from average to about 3 dollars higher than the larger, more popular liquor stores. If you are looking for a few cheapy dollar stocking-stuffer bottles.. then this is NOT the place to get them. The variety is very limited and they are priced 1.99 and higher. I bet this store is really great for people who really like a wide selection of wine. However, I just like my small stores where I can find my husband his Arbor Mist and Tisdale and get out! Lol it was clean and the staff was really nice. It was hard for me to find things because it's organized by location instead of brand. Probably wouldn't return, but looks really well run! read more

They had a pretty decent selection and that's why I gave 4 and not 3 stars, almost everything I was interested in was well overpriced (30%+) compared to the lowest you can find around the county, the few things that are fairly priced are a few bucks over the lowest you can find and that's what I wound up getting since I was there, I might return for the one product I bought or maybe one of the rarer things they had, but wouldn't make it my main shop, also I expected a very jubilant staff from the reviews here and while they weren't rude or anything they didn't seem overly friendly either read more

If you are shopping at Wegmans on West Ridge, this is a very convenient stop for you. The store is huge, and they offer tastings of wines and liquors very frequently, especially around the fall and holiday season. They have a tasting schedule on their website, which is updated fairly regularly. I think that in terms of selection, they have a lot to offer, but some bottles of wine are more expensive by a few dollars than other liquor stores in Rochester. I am in awe over this hidden wine store in Ridgemont Plaza since grocery stores around here don't carry wine. The store itself is filled with a large selection of select wines and liquor from all shapes, sizes, and varieties. What really makes it stand out is its staff and management. Its refreshing to see how much they really care about their customers since they are more than happy to serve a needy or average wine connoisseur. With this more then pleasant experience, I am more than happy to return....with company. read more

What kind of liquor store doesn't have dollar shots? This store is HUGE and they charge $1.50 for the same products that the same stores in the area charge $1 or LESS for. Wildly disappointing UPDATE: after not being able to find dollar shots here, I searched for stores in Greece. I found the Liquor Box on Mount Read. Not only did they have dollar shots but they had shots for LESS than a dollar. A quick walk around the store and they were 2-5 dollars cheaper on almost every item, had an even better selection, and get this..the owner told me they price match any store in Rochester if you ask. I'll no longer need to drive to Marketview! read more

Owner is awesome. Has filled the store with a wide variety of wines and spirits. The whole family is involved which brings a neighborhood feel to the place. They only hire individuals that have a great customer focus, a joy to shop there. They have awesome tastings from time to time on Fridays, careful they get very crowded, so come early. Now if they only had reusable bags to carry out your purchases. read more

This is my go to wine shop on the West Side of Rochester. Since I've come back to Rochester I had gone to a few places to buy my wine, but its convenience (next to Wegmans) @ Ridgemont was a key factor for me (and my home is in this area). Another key factor was that I tend to fancy myself as a "wino" (oh the horror of this pretentious writer; who drinks jug wine, but considers himself an expert on the finest vintages of..boxed wine!) I sometimes will go into wine shops and ask about the wines, where they come from, from what grapes, etc (it's more like a quiz, am I getting the real deal person who knows what he/she is talking about or just a person trying to sell me a bottle of wine) and just listen. Well as I had stated in my last review (see Triano's butcher shop review) GREAT first impressions, will usually make me become a loyal customer. So on my first time going there (December 23 or 24, 2013) the place was packed with people of course trying to get there alcohol for the holiday spirit, and I had inquired about some help with wine. I was eventually referred to a lady (who I now call the "wine lady" but seriously I really should get her name as I feel bad we don't know each other on a first name basis) that sufficed my satisfaction for her knowledge of wine and food pairings. As the basics goes seafood=white wine red meats= red. Well I threw "wine lady" a curve-ball by saying well I am having a surf (thank you lobster trap) n turf (thank you triano's), and our side dishes are going to be asparagus and something else I forgot (some type of roasted/grilled vegetable); I wanted to see how she would react to such adverse conditions on the complexity I threw at her (see the double entendre of sarcasm and my pretentious wino snobbery?!). She though about it for awhile looking me over for 1.my devilish good looks :-) 2. was I old enough to purchase alcohol 3. i don't know what to write here. Eventually "wine lady" recommended me several choices, she said 1. you can never go wrong having pinot noir for a mix combo of red meat and seafood dishes (and my personal experiences with drinking pinot noir zoned me in closer that she wasn't just selling me any bottle of wine). I bought a bottle of pinot noir, bear boat pinot noir, def good bang for the buck. 2. she next pointed me out to a sauvignon blanc, Okay I thought where is she taking me for sauvignon blanc and lo and behold she immediately took me to the New Zealand section, more specifically the ones that come from the Marlborough wine region. Having drank enough oyster bay, monkey bay, and other wines from New Zealand (one of the perks of having a bunch of kiwi peers/friends in the Beijing area), I know "Wine lady" was legit. I ended up buying two bottles of wine, and they were absolutely perfect with the great meal my mom had cooked for the family. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? Well there are several things I wish they could improve on and I hope it really happens as I continue to support Four Seasons 1. Do something about the decoration/aesthetics for your bottles of wine, please not just the shelf style but more wood would be great, especially for your more fancy wines; it would be amazing to promote some of your specials/better wines/or whatever this place's marketing team thinks of for promotion 2. If you guys do wine or wine and food pairing tastings, please have such events exposed more. I really enjoy such events. read more

This hidden gem located in Ridgemont Plaza is my go to liquor store. The helpful cast of employees bring a genuine shopping experience to alcohol buying. They have excellent recommendations as well as helpful new drinks to try/make. They're always looking to make sure you don't regret the wine or liquor you purchase and they never leave you wandering around aimlessly. read more

You advertise 10% off a case of wine, yet when I checked out it was only on select bottles which I think is nonsense, and a total turn off. 10% is the norm in good liquor stores on the case. I did spend 300 dollars on various items in your store. read more

Large selection of moderately priced and inexpensive wines - a lot of NYs and Californias. Lower selection of high-end wines but still some very good choices. Single malt whiskeys are limited but well-priced. read more

Saw an ad for Four Seasons on Facebook and decided to check it out- didn't even know they were there! I live closer to Irondequoit so I usually go to the Irondequout Liquor or West Ridge.This store was huge, the staff was friendly and they were priced reasonably on most of the items. One of the things i'd say that jumped out to me was that although the store was big, it wasn't full. Many of the displays looked tattered and they were out of or only had one bottle of a surprising number of items. If I am going to Best Buy I might stop in here, i'd probably recommend this place over West Ridge Liquor. If I am being honest I'll still be doing my everyday shopping at Irondequout Liquor but this place isn't bad! read more
