What gets better than a wine/beer bar than has food and access to the roof top, during a full moon in October? Well add that the Irondequcit St. Paul Blvd fire department are taking over the bar as guest barkeeps with half of the profits going to the local fire house. Duck wings and a craft beer while hanging with friends and family.

So happy that a Wine bar has opened in irondequoit. This is located in the I-Square building. the wine bar is closed off (having sliding barn doors) to the rest of the restaurants located in the building. the atmosphere of the place is nice and relaxing. the wood and especially the long table in the back is made from the trees that once stood in it's location. I believe they are still in the process of decorating the rest of the place. the tall cushioned seats are very comfortable. the place is a narrow set up and seemed small to me in the beginning but it grew on me. I cant forget about the roof top that will open up when the weather is warmer! There is a lot of good wine and beer, great selection, great prices. the good stuff of course is at the bottom of the menu and quite pricey for those who can afford it. I also cant forget about the occasional free appetizers one of the chefs present. (however i'm unsure if this is only during their soft opening) You are able to to eat your food from the other restaurants in the building and the staff deliver it to you after you paid. Inside the bar, however, they do have all the menus available to order from and the bartender can put the order in. This does make the process a little slower and when i tried this it was difficult to understand how and when to pay. If the bartender doesn't check with you, pay for your meal with the bartender and they distribute it to the restaurant it came from. very clever if you ask me. can't wait to return!

Nice wine bar at I-Square in Irondequoit! They have a nice selection of wines and also beer on tap. They serve appetizers too. Since it is a part of I-Square, you also have the option of purchasing food from one of the other vendors to go with your drink. There are great pastas & salads at Pasta Cucina or burgers at Market Grille. If the weather is nice you can take your drink to the rooftop garden seating area and watch the sunset. But if the weather is cold/rainy (like it can be 3/4 of the year in Rochester) the seating area is very comfortable. There are seats at the bar but also a nice, private lounge area with comfortable chairs & booths. Fun place to meet up with friends, especially if you are an Irondequoit local.

Sliders are possibly best I've ever had...perfect medium rare, juicy, substantial, absolutely delicious...And that roasted shallot aioli!

Local (finger lakes ) wineries are the focus here and I love that! Bottles, single pours, and themed flights are available, as well as a make your own flight option which you don't often see! There is also thoughtfully curated local beer/cider selection , both on draft and canned on the menu. Small bites/appetizers are available and our table enjoyed the charcuterie board and a couple of the very big pretzels. All was very tasty. Owned by a husband and wife-the husband was meeting patron on the night we went. He definitely is enthusiastic and has a lot of fun ideas that they hope to get rolling. It is quite open and spacious and has a cozy casual vibe. There was a jazz musician playing which was relaxing and added to the atmosphere. The staff was super attentive and did a great job making sure our group had everything we wanted. Definitely will be returning and looking forward to how this business evolves!

They have a big bar also and ample seating inside and out. We chose to sit outside and the view was of the parking lot so you can people watch if you're standing up. The vines along the deck fence were in full bloom so we at least got some privacy. And they had a 1 man band he was pleasant to listen to. So anyway our waiter came over with our menus and we asked for 2 ice waters with lemon and I got a moscato too. The drinks came out pretty quickly. I ordered the flatbread Caprese pizza it was good and it was small which was good for me because I was able to finish it all. And he got the chicken panini and he said it was good too. However, they only had 1 working bathroom so that wasn't the best set of circumstances. It was a nice night and we enjoyed ourselves.

Apogee is a fantastic gem of a place in a quiet spot on Park Ave, far from the crowds and traffic…read moreand heavily perfumed masses. It feels like a hidden locals-only joint where you can grab a glass of your fave from a thoughtfully curated list of delicious options, and settle in with your better half, besties or a group of friends and just chill. We've been to Apogee a number of times before and 'after' covid, in colder months when we've been lucky to snag a window table, and in warmer times, like tonight, when we can sit outside and enjoy the flickering fireflies along with our sparkling rosè. Besides the pleasant atmosphere, Apogee has a beautifully appointed interior space, clean bathrooms, and a menu with cheese plates, cake, and more wines than you could taste in a summer. All of that plus super knowledgable 'bar tenders' (more like wine sommeliers) who can take your possibly clumsy description of what you think you want and offer up several perfect options, and you have the makings of a very pleasant evening. Book mark this place and plan to spend at least an hour enjoying an outside table!

Apogee was our baby shower venue. While people don't normally associate wine bar with baby shower,…read morewe made it work and Apogee was the perfect venue that met all of our needs. As a special events venue, Apogee was flexible with outside food and also with decorations. There was no additional venue rental/site fee, just a minimum spend amount (which we were confident that we would exceed). The venue is cozy and intimate, but has high ceilings so it did not feel claustrophobic at all, even with 30+ guests at one point. I'm a wine snob myself, so I was a bit skeptical initially when I saw their wine list. Most of the wines they serve retail for $10-20. They do have some bottles that are more expensive (retail ~$30). However, after tasting some of their entry level wines (Ancient Peaks Zinfandel & Gouguenheim Malbec), my worries vanished. Everything I tasted was excellent and drank better than their actual price point. Steve was a great host. He was laid back, but still friendly and attentive to all of our guests. He made sure everybody's drink needs were satisfied. He was also flexible with letting us in the venue early to set up and also staying late to clean up. I also liked the fact that they allowed us to bring our own wine, for a $15 per bottle corkage fee, which is fair. Anyways, Apogee is a great venue for a small party. They are flexible and reasonable. I would definitely recommend them as a wine bar and for hosting a private event (especially on a Sunday).
