They kept me in the loop, they went the extra mile and really made my car look amazing! They do a great job washing and cleaning the car as well! Thank you Burnside!!

Took my car to Burnside Automotive after a car accident. The collision repair itself was actually…read morepretty good--they straightened everything out properly, the panels lined up well, and the car drives straight with no issues from the structural work. They were decent with communication during the process and got it done in a reasonable time frame. If it was just body/frame fixes, I'd have no complaints there. The problem came right after pickup. They power washed the car before handing it back (which is standard, I get it), but when I got to work and looked closer, the paint on the hood and front areas was chipping and flaking off in spots. It looked like the high-pressure wash blew off sections where the adhesion wasn't strong enough--paint peeled away easily, exposing primer or bare spots. This happened basically from their own cleaning, not from me driving to work that was only 10 mins away. I went back after work . They checked it and accuse me of picking the paint and refused to take responsibility even though it was their wash that caused the chipping. No offer to touch it up, repaint the affected areas, or even cover. Just brushed it off and sent me on my way. Felt really disappointing after otherwise solid work on the accident repair. If you're dealing with a bad crash and need reliable body work, they might do okay structurally. But for owning up when their process damages it? Not impressed. I'll be going elsewhere for any touch-ups or future needs. Take before/after pics of any cleaning, and consider a shop that stands behind the full job.

Eric that they don't even like to work on Audis. He stood behind my car, which had a couple of small 1" paint scuffs and a little dig in the bumper cover, and told me how much work would be to repair and would be about $5000.00! Refused to write me an estimate. He said they also don't work with State Farm Insurance, cause they won't pay their (high) labor rates. He said I'd have hundreds of dollars of out of pocket AFTER the insurance paid them if they did the work. I am baffled a place like this is in business. Below is the damage, as you see, very minor....

Gio handled my claim professionally and in a timely manner. I understand the repair process takes time so I only called twice and was given straight forward answers. I wanted a high quality repair not a direct repair butcher job is why I chose Kruse Lucas Body And Paint and I am not disappointed with the results. After having a great experience at the 9th street location who fixed my wifes's tesla i was happy…read moreto hear that fix auto has a second location on spyres way by mchenry since we live in oakdale we dont have to go far into modesto. My mother n law needed her 23 corolla front bumper fixed from a small collision with highway debris and right away i knew i wanted to go back to fix auto. Unfortunately my experience wasnt as good as the 9th street location. First off katy up front and mary and michael were nice and attentive and welcoming and i appreciate that fix auto got oem parts to fix my mother n laws corolla but then this were the experience started to not be that good. I go to pick up the car and while the new bumper looked great the fitment wasnt as tight were the bumper meets the fenders but it looked close enough, also when i got home i noticed the wheel splash guard on passenger side wasnt fully clipped in, no biggie i can clip that back in myself. Well after a week the passenger side part of the bumper was starting to unclip by the fender so i took it back and they agreed to order new oem fender brackets to install and should take care of the issue, i dropped car off when the new brackets came in then picked it back up the next day and talked with michael and the sides of bumper were still not as tight as before when the car was new, also i noticed both sides of the wheel splash guards were not fully clipped in again and showed michael and he agreed to drive it back into shop to fix it but i said i can just clipped them back in myself since i was ready to go home after a long day of work and didnt want to wait. Another couple of days go by and the passenger side of bumper is still unclipping from the fender, at this point im starting to get really frustrated and drove right back to fix auto and spoke with michael, i told him this issue needs to be resolved because this is the second time i had to bring the car back and i explained to him that who ever is working on the car needs to take their time and do the job right because i felt like they were rushing the job and i pointed out how the wheel splash guards werent fully clipped in when i picked up the car the second time and i recommended them to get a tech from toyota to help them with the bumper fitment issue, Michael told me he would personally make sure the issue would be resolved and he would put me into a rental for 3 days which i appreciate. So i go to pick up the car hopefully for the last time and the fitment looked way better and they washed the car so i thanked michael and went on my way. So the next morning at 4am i go to turn the car on and get it warming up and turn lights on and had to go back into house to get something, as i was coming back to the car is when i noticed the driver side bumper accent LED light is not on!, SERIOUSLY! I just told michael to make sure the job gets done right and now this issue?! Anyways at this point i was not gonna take the car back over there and i ended up being in a bad mood for the whole morning at work, i also noticed now the driver side part of bumper is now starting to unclip from the fender and decided to take matters into my own hands, when i got home from work i pulled the car into the garage and took off the bottom driver side splash guard so i can look inside where the LED light is and sure enough it wasn't plugged in so i plugged it back in myself and put back together and tested and it comes on fine now, i also decided to check their work around the top part of bumper and also noticed the driver side top part was not fully clipped into the driver side headlight like it was suppose to be. I also unclipped the bumper by driver side fender and put some 3m double sided tape strips on the bracket and clipped bumper back in to secure it and so far its staying clipped in. Im not bringing the car back to this location no more and will take it to the 9th street location instead because i dont like how the car was treated, i felt like bringing the car back to have the issues resolved was a nuisance to the shop workers and they rushed it to get it done and get the car out so they can start their next job and they didnt check their work to make sure everything was back together properly, i shouldnt have to correct their mistakes but unfortunately i did. I see all these great reviews of peoples cars getting fixed with no issues but for some reason they couldnt figure out how to fully clip in a new toyota front bumper and keep it from unclipping and they cant even check over the car properly to make sure everything is back together and working. I will not come back and if there are any other issues with the car which im hoping we will not have anymore i will just go to the 9th street location to have them take care of it and im hoping that location still does good work, if not then i will just take my business to another body shop......
