Unless you enjoy performing a balancing act with food, drinks, and dignity. Also, bring a hand fan to stay cool during summer months. Prior to last night's concert for Rodney Atkins, I tried to find information about the venue so…read morethat I could decide if it was going to be a fun time. Specifically in regards to seating, because I have some physical issues that can cause problems with balance and joint issues. It was terrible to try and find information out about the venue online. My husband drove out fire to the event to look around, and he said they had handicapped seating that wouldn't require me to climb up into bleachers. We thought that it wouldn't be a problem, but when we got there, the seating was behind the sound system people, so you couldn't see anything. The chairs were stools, they were metal stools that were the most uncomfortable seating arrangement I've ever experienced for a venue. We were right out in the sun, and it was 95 degrees out. No fans, no misters, nothing to try and keep people comfortable. My husband said it was typical because the company wanted people to get hot and drink more. That they wanted people to be uncomfortable with the seating arrangement so that they would go out on the dance floor and cause themselves to get more thirsty. But what about the main entertainment? That's a joke. I do enjoy Rodney Atkins' music, but I didn't enjoy the show last night. I don't know if it was his fault or the venue's fault, but it was advertised to start at 5:30, which we understood that's there would be a starting band first. Rodney Atkins did not come out until after 9 p.m. So we sat in the heat from 5:30 p.m. to about 10 p.m., when we finally decided to wrap it up because it wasn't worth it. The performer did not offer an introduction or an apology for being late. My husband made the observation that it was just a job to him and it wasn't about entertainment. The music was too loud for the area, and I realized that a professional band like Rodney Atkins usually plays to a large group, but they're professionals. They should have been able to accommodate. And there was a lot of feedback, which no one enjoys hearing loud squealing. There wasn't that type of problem with the opening band, so there shouldn't have been that type of problem with Rodney Atkins' group. Then, to top it all off, when we left and were getting on our motorcycle, the person watching the gate, so to speak, came running out to tell us that we couldn't park there. We were just pulling the motorcycle over to where it was flat so I could get on it. We were both putting our helmets on. The bike was running. My husband was putting his gloves on. Sometimes people just don't have common sense. That was my first and last experience with that venue.

Her proactive approach made such a difference and gave us confidence that we had everything we needed. Planning a large event involves so many moving pieces, and having Emili and the Whatever Works team handling the catering and rentals took a huge piece off our plate. The service was professional, the food was fantastic, and we truly appreciated everything they did to help make our gala such a successful evening. All our guests enjoyed the delicious food (hot Italian food served in early January). Her staff even helped buss the finished disposable plates off the tables which I didn't expect! And Emili offered to step in and help with our dessert serving logistics even though it wasn't part of the order from WW. Emili is a very engaged vendor that provides outstanding catering! Everything about my experience working with them in wedding design and planning was superb. Their design talent is evident to anyone driving by their well-decorated showroom windows or browsing their posts online, but I want to write more deeply about the planning process, and how smoothly everything went during the nine months leading up to my ceremony at the Cathedral of the Rockies and reception at the Boise Train Depot. As a long-distance bride, I worked with both Kristin and Teresa via Skype sessions about once a month leading up to the wedding, and we corresponded via email in between. Kristin managed my day of coordination. She offered great venue insight - guest experience, sound and lighting quality, time of day and season, and many other considerations that never would've occurred to me without her expertise. It was so valuable to be able to discuss Pinterest and other wedding ideas, and work through the planning timeline together. Her guidance was spot-on and her follow-up was unparalleled - whenever she said she would have something complete, it was complete. Teresa managed my wedding design. She created and updated my personalized virtual design board with colors, centerpieces, flowers, and every other detail possibly imaginable. She even helped me find a new bouquet just weeks before the wedding. I thought it would be nice to have some childhood pictures, but didn't have time to print the them - Teresa took care of it. Her graphic designer created some signage that coordinated with the font and style of my invitation. She took copious notes during our conversations, and managed all the detail tremendously. I was lucky to arrive in Boise about a week before my big day. The three of us met to walk through the day, confirm final details, look at my complete table setting, and checkout the Etsy items I had mailed directly to Bliss. Kristen completed all of the vendor confirmations - it was such a huge relief to know everyone was onboard with the day's events without contacting them individually. At the rehearsal Kristin gave everyone in the wedding party a timeline with events for the next day, so there wasn't a question about who should be where and when. I was able to truly relax and enjoy the evening. My wedding day was idyllic. Teresa and Kristin are the wedding masters. The Cathedral and the Depot were both sublime. The flowers were stunning. All of the big moments happened on time, and all of my guests had a great time, which was especially important to me since 75 of them had travelled from out of state. I couldn't have asked for more competent, creative, savvy wedding-day dream team. My husband and I are still in awe of our wonderful wedding day. Thank you, Bliss!

Sound Wave provides several services including DJ services, Dance floor rental, lighting, and Photo Booth rental. I will update this review after the wedding, but so far, my fiancé and I have been super impressed with the company. They are organized and professional. They think through the seemingly minor details. After meeting with them, we feel less stressed and very comfortable with the reception timeline.
