What is wrong with you people giving bad reviews for Fox31 morning news? I moved away from Aurora to the southwest mountains of Colorado and am VERY pleased to have the app so I can watch Fox 31 every morning. I do wish it was real time, but I chose to live off grid where I stream everything over cell signal so no need to pay for cable so that is on me. I see complaints that are just not valid. Morning news is supposed to be different from evening news folks. Upbeat, cheerful delivery in the mornings to start your day is important. All members of the cast appear to genuinely enjoy their jobs and each other. One person complains repeatedly about Ashley not reading a teleprompter correctly. Well, that person still watches, just likes to complain. Like he/she actually has the knowledge of what precisely is on the teleprompter. Whatever, change the damn channel. Complaints about Kylie? Are you blind? Oh, another said she talks too fast. I'd say that person listens too slow. And a complaint about Dan Daru. Some people just don't understand humor, or comic relief, or people with comedic personalities. Thats a shame. I'd love to sit and have a beer or 3 with that guy. Anyway, I love the cast, and the delivery. EVERY morning. They are all aces in my book. I stream Fox31, CW2 News, Traffic and Weather on my laptop everyday and it has been a nightmare. The Nextar streaming service times out every 45 minutes. This doesn't happen when I similarly stream NBC, CBS or ABC but I prefer to get my news from Fox. When Fox times out and you log back in, it starts with an advertisement and you loose the continuity of the prior news segment. After about 3 timeouts, I just hang it up and turn to another station. Advertisements are also a big issue. This morning, Fox 31, CW2 ran the same Oak Street Health ads exclusively with the same commercial over and over again. read more

What used to be a pretty cool weather app just went full-nuts with the number of pop-ups for games, etc. Too bad, it was pretty accurate, and real-time radar was useful. But if I have to close windows from game pop-ups to get to radar, alerts, etc., I've moved on to other options. read more

For supposedly being the somewhat conservative news channel choice, I find them constantly allowing inflammatory, false statements about Trump, his policies, or his voters. In fact, I can't watch it without it happening everyday. Their Colorado stories aren't even well chosen, different, or well researched. ABC is even more balanced, and we all now how biased they are to the left. So, since they don't give very much good Denver news anyway, I'll just watch on-line news channels that don't tear down Trump and his administration every chance they get. I wish to watch the weather forecast. Specifically I am not visiting a nudie bar or Hooters. The weather person, Kylie Bearse inappropriately wears sleazy tight clothing revealing cleavage and her legs on a regular basis. It isn't in any way, shape or form family appropriate. When I call the programming manager to complain, he refuses to return my calls. Evidently the programming manager seems to enjoy watching sleazy dressed Kylie Bearse strut around or it is a desperate move to improve their ratings. In conclusion, if Kylie Bearse spent more time working on weather forecasting, and less time putting together a sleazy outfit, I would be able to obtain an accurate weather forecast. read more

FOX 31 - KDVR - Television Stations Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I used to watch this channel for news in the morning while enjoying my coffee but I don't anymore. They like to say that their morning coverage isn't on a loop like others but they just repeat the first half hour over and over. Way too much weather and way too technical with weather, just give me your best guess and don't show the weather every 5 minutes. Give us more local news, stock markets, sports anything but the weather guessing. The field reporters are pretty good with the exceptions of Dan Deroo and Jim Holey. That Dan is not funny and seems to make people uncomfortable on camera. Jim Hooley overstates everything and talks so fast and excitedly. Just report, you don't need to try to make things seem worse. News media just isn't for me anymore, too much show business. read more

919-2025 a.m. show. The two news casters covered story called Boomer panic. I've never seen two news casters make fun of people over the age of 50 like this ever. Guess you're demographic is folk? To belittle people on the news I guess is something they were tolerating these days with uneducated, rude, ill thought out broadcasting. Maybe you should apologize to the people over 50 who watch your program. I for one will be tuning to channel 7. I use to watch channel 2 daybreak in denver with Chris & Katie mornings until they both constantly started missing not just a day, but days at a time, which at times lead up to weeks a times. I use to enjoy watching both of them at first. Then they started teater todering being on. One day Chris would be missing a couple days later Katie would be missing! With no info by the news team on why they were missing other then that they were filling in for them. It really got old when they started missing weeks a a time with no word. When I would inquire at Fox 31 station via email, I would get a response that they were sick or on vacation. I remember last year right before Katie Orth quit. Chris went on a two week vacation, returned for two days then went back missing for another week while Fox 31/ 13 claimed he was sick ! And then before he returned Katie ended up missing with no reason until she returned claiming she was engaged to get married with no excuse of her absent for several days. About that time my husband and I started watching another morning news channel. I heard after that Katie again went missing from several days and ended up quiting and moved back to Texas! I heard that Andrea Henderson replaced Katie Orth on daybreak so I thought check it out. Funny though, I watched them for two days and again Chris goes back on vacation for two weeks while leaving Andrea Henderson running the helm with a substitute anchor. Then Chris returns after two weeks for a couple days, then go's missing for several days again! Leaving Andrea Henderson running the helm again. Now she is missing and Chris is also missing with no reason on ether of their absents! What I can't understand is how the news station can advertise to watch Chris and Andrea on daybreak when it's really a hit & Miss never really knowing when they are going to be on. Travis Michaels is the best meteorologist ever. He doesn't rely on the green screen and knows exactly what he's going to talk about with his back to the screen. He's professional he's active is vocabulary is great never stutters never stumbles starts off and finishes with a flourish. The best of the bunch! read more

I stopped watching nine news years ago because of their extreme liberal take on everything. The newscasters couldn't hide their smirks and disdain for conservatives. I know Fox News is also liberal owned but I do enjoy the morning show.. Kylie is fantastic I can't believe someone is so jealous of her to say she looks tacky. She is adorable and dressed so cute and professional. They all do a great job. Granted Ashley makes a lot of mistakes with pronunciation of simple words but she still is fun so let it go. I used to watch the morning news but got tired of the unprofessional newscast and seems to be every morning there is a technical issue or 2 during the news cast. The two news anchors in the morning do to much joking around and act very unprofessional at times. Dan Daroo (field reporter) should go. His coverage is so unprofessional including so of the things his says during his coverage. Wonder how that was done without a 90day cooling-off period between 31 & 8+1,,,, humm I have Dish, and Fox went dark because of $. Nexstar killed the online broadcast too. We went to Locast to watch the remaining Alex Trebek, Jeopardy shows. A little greedy. But 8+1news uses a lot of social media to boost their Nielsen rating. Other station don't boost that avenue. 8+1 wants you to 'hashtag' or text on everything. They must spend nights dreaming up boring hashtag and text subjects for the next day. KDVR made my hilarious Yelp review of Rocky Mountain National Park "Fox News famous" (google it!). In a deathly serious segment on one-star Yelp reviews, it attacked my comments that RMNP contained wildlife, that the park rangers were too darn friendly, and that there were no Starbucks along the trails. As my review was flashed on the screen, the large number "funny" votes it received was visible. I...wonder...why. The bright folks at KDVR, in the same piece, criticized a Yelp review of Yellowstone National Park for saying: "the stones aren't even yellow". With an entirely straight face. No doubt further scathing segments are to follow: critical dissections of Monty Python and the Holy Grail ("KDVR researchers found knights used horses, not coconuts"), Orwell's Animal Farm ("Animals can't even, like, talk"), and Weird Al Yankovik ("Tonight at 10: proof he's copying other people's songs!"). It's hard to imagine how anyone with an IQ over 75 could take obviously sarcastic Yelp reviews like mine seriously. Used to Love the team but cant stand there one sided stories and the lack of new creative storytelling. Dan Daru is the worse reporter ever. He is very inconsiderate of the companies he does reviews on, making costly messes and thinking it is funny. Man I almost hate to write this review. On one hand I cannot stand Ron Zappolo or whatever his name is along with his smiling, ever-agreeable partner Libby Weaver. On the other, they had the best local election coverage in Colorado. CBS 4 seemed to want to cut away to network programming whenever they could, KUSA/9 had bumbling idiots on (I remember Adelle from Chicago days and she hasn't improved much since then) and the ABC affiliate had a desk that looked so old you could see chips in the Formica. While I may not like the anchors on Fox 31 they do an excellent job on Election Night of covering the local races. Of course, Ronnie takes that night off too. Coincidence? I can't stand Daybreak with Chris and Katie. I find Chris Parente to be extremely annoying and offensive to this news station with his ridiculously false attempts at humor, and all of his blatant narcissistic interruptions morning after morning. A few years ago on Fox 31 News, I watched an interview he did with Chris Hader and his co-star and it was horrible. Parente lied and claimed he had seen this particular movie. His lie was made clear when he asked if the movie stars could give any advice on full frontal nudity on TV. Hader and his co-star were shocked and Parente, aka the non-sensical anchor, said as if it were a fact, "Well you're nude in the movie " Hader had to correct him as there was NO nudity. Parente did not even have the courtesy to apologize for lying about seeing the movie and then claiming it had nudity in it in which he totally embarrassed the woman who was Hader's co-star (I fail to recall the actress's name). Do your homework dude and, when caught in a lie, apologize, pretentious jerk! I wish he would have lost his job over that one. Ugh. Nobody wants to hear his BS every morning... it's five a.m. and this crack head is bouncing off of the walls. I can't do it. I have to watch 9 News instead. Poor Katie Orth is a doll and one can see that she's at her wits end and tries to be polite in her dealings with Parente. The other reporters who work with this clown (who's not funny) are talented and I can tell that Parente gets on their nerves. Furthermore, he continually interrupts people he's interviewing and it's very apparent that he thinks he is funny and important. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Somehow, the co-anchors remain professional and keep calm. Finally, I don't see how management continues to employ and keep this lousy distraction on the news called Chris Parente. I'd freaking lose it if I had to work with Chris Parente...I can't even stand a few minutes with him. This dude is narcissistic, interrupts, fails to add humor to stories, and doesn't do basic journalistic homework.. He needs to go!!! read more

I AM A WOMAN. Please no more remarkable women-gender contests. We should ALL be doing our best and not need to be petted on the head and given a doggie treat for doing so. I much prefer Channel 31 News to Channel 2 News, whose anchors are childish & annoying & try way too hard to be funny. It's supposed to be news, not an unfunny comedy show. However for some reason Channel 2 News with their annoying anchors is now running on Channel 31 at 10am & 11am. I can barely change the channel fast enough at 10am. read more
