I've been going to Vichida for four years now, and am so glad I found her. I've tried other salons and stylists, but no one is able to cut and understand my hair the way she does! She's very thorough in her consultation before starting to cut or color, and I always feel well-informed about what we'll be doing during a given appointment. Very cute salon. Love the professionalism from the staff and front desk. I inquired for service online and they were very prompt in responding to my request. There was plenty of street parking for me on a Wednesday 12:45 appointment. There was also a small parking lot behind the building. Lynn cut my hair and gave me a wonderful short bob. I got my roots done here. I had spoken with Christi regarding the shade we would dye my roots. I said they should be slightly darker than my blonde.length. I stated that I have had my roots done WAY too dark in the past by other colorist's. I left the salon thinking they were fine until I got home and pulled my hair back and realized that I had just received the exact opposite of what we had discussed. My roots are about 20 shades darker than my blonde and not blended in the slightest. I emailed the salon because they don't answer the phone. I was told that I got what I asked for and that in order to fix their mistake I'd be the one to have to pay to get partial highlight service in order to blend my hair. As if I'd pay them again to destroy my hair again. So there goes the balayage that I had just gotten done six weeks prior. Terrible customer service. Clearly the customer doesn't come first at this salon. Don't go to this salon unless you want to waste your money and then be told to come spend more on bad services. I wish I could leave zero stars for this place. I made the mistake of booking with Jo and spending an absolutely ridiculous $750 for a color correction and highlights, and walked out looking like a discount Halloween pumpkin. She initially made my hair too blonde/white and further ruined it with the help of the owner Judy by dousing it in toner that made it brassy and orange. It was nothing close to the cool, ashy brown we discussed and photos shared. When I reached out to express my concern and asked if they could fix the issue, the owner, Judy, was defensive and kept telling me the brass and orange color will fade.. Instead of any attempt at customer service or professionalism, she hid behind a condescending email. Her response was essentially a pretentious way of saying, "we don't want your business because we messed up and refuse to admit it." She wrote that, "we believe you may be better served by a stylist or salon whose approach aligns more closely with your preferences." In other words, if you expect to not look like a citrus fruit after spending $750, this isn't the place for you. Judy's attitude is that of a bully. She takes your money, ruins your hair, and then fires you as a customer for daring to point it out. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. read more

Fox and Belle Salon has the hands down, best hair artists! I have been with them for over 10 years. I make the hour drive to see them every year! The entire salon is gorgeous and clean. When you enter, they offer you all sorts of food and drinks. They use the best products in your hair and you'll always leave with the best feeling and best looking hair! Yesterday I went to get my hair bleached and toned. I arrived with a year's worth of grown out hair (see picture) and requested for a silvery lavender look. Global bleaching is not an easy process especially when there is grown out hair. The artist, Linda, was very careful and made sure to consult with me each and every step so that I am comfortable but also so that my hair is the healthiest it can be. Her attention to detail is amazing and ensures that my hair goals are met! Although I had Linda this time, Maritza and Judy are also able to work magic on my hair every time. At checkout, they gave me this cute gift bag that was filled with goodies. When I got home, I was amazed by how many goodies there were! I've been going to Vichida for a couple years and now I don't think I'd let anyone else touch my hair!! She's an absolute master at what she does--she takes the time to really understand what you're looking for and will ask clarifying questions you wouldn't have thought of that end up making the final result . I have long/thick hair and before Fox & Belle, I'd regularly get a little emotional about trims that took off too many inches. Vichida always does a phenomenal job of creating movement & dimension without taking off more than we discuss and I absolutely love her for it! For a year leading up to my wedding, I had 3 or 4 appointments with Vichida to dial in the perfect mix of full & partial highlights, hair strengthening treatments, the perfect glowy color, the right cut for my updo, and how to blend it all together with some root shadow and low-lights. You don't have to know what any of that means, just trust that she absolutely knows she sh!t and when you go in for an appt she'll work with you to sort out the right path for you! (My hair looked AH-MAZING for my wedding btw thanks to her genius!) First of all, everyone that works at this salon is sweet, nice, and willing to help.... even if you're not their client. They're quick to respond to emails and I even received a response late at night when I panic emailed due to a schedule conflict (I know this isn't the norm, but the fact they they still responded when they read the email vs. leaving it until the next morning.... I really appreciated that). 2-3 years ago, I was desperate for a change. Prior to having my child, I never really cared much about my hair. I kept it long with a cut and perm 1-2 times a year. No special shampoos, treatments, etc. After having my child, I was going THROUGH it with postpartum hair loss. I always had thin hair with low-ish density, but the postpartum hair loss was so bad that I started developing areas where my scalp was visible along with a very visible receding hairline. It was so bad that my doctors did additional bloodwork to see if there were other health concerns causing the hair loss. I booked a Hail Mary appointment with Reena after copious amounts of research. When I walked in, I had already filled out an inquiry form with my concerns and she and I went through my head and she immediately started forming a plan with me. These were not immediate fixes, but we came up with a plan to increase the density and we also discussed the different styles of cuts that would help make it LOOK more dense. I got overwhelmed and told her I trust her and to just tell me what needed to be done at home. I went in with long hair and came out with the shortest bob I've ever had in my life. Was the length shocking? YES. Was I upset? NO. IT LOOKED AMAZING. We also discovered that my hair now had some curl and texture in it and she helped me bring those out to the forefront to the point where it is now the norm to walk around with waves in my hair (pregnancy and hormone shifts are crazy!) I felt like a new women. Comparing my hair now to what we started off with is crazy. I went in feeling like Gollum, but now I feel normal. My hair is no longer the primary point of insecurity. Every hair appointment, we go through the changes and how to change my hair routine to better support my hair. I trust her 100% with my hair and I no longer have a specific vision with my hair. She goes in and does what she thinks would look best. I've just started growing out the bob after keeping it short - I ended up LOVING the bob and had a hard time starting to grow out my hair. The most recent session included a coloring session (I don't know what was done because... again.... I give her complete freedom and trust her completely) and I'm in love with how everything turned out. She knows my limits and keeps it within those lines. read more

When I walked in, I was greeted and directed where to go. Reena was ready for me. She was kind and responsive with what I was asking for my hair. She took her time and was very detailed. In one word, amazing. In more than one word, I am very glad that I ended up coming to Fox and Belle. I don't think I've ever liked my hair coming out of a salon. First off, there was no pushing me in any direction. I was indecisive (partially because I didn't know what I wanted since I have never liked much), but Jo was a lovely human being and was patient and listened. We worked together to figure out a plan and something that I would be comfortable with. I also appreciated that they wanted to know more about me and what I did with my hair. I let them know I generally cut my hair once a year and was low maintenance. Instead of trying to push me to get it cut more often or push a bunch of products or treatments, Jo heard me. We decided to do a hilift balayage with layers since it would grow out naturally and wouldn't need much to maintain. The 3.5 hours went by fast, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Have to say. I smiled for the first time after a haircut after seeing myself in the mirror when we were finished. That speaks volumes. As an aside, everyone there was amazing and so incredibly supportive. I first came here in 2018 after having a pretty bad highlight experience at a different salon in the Bay Area. I was scheduled with Reena, as she was just recently hired from a different salon and was accepting new clients. I have naturally dark brown hair, and had been wearing an ashy-blonde balayage, but my most recent color job by my previous stylist was totally botched. Less than 2 weeks later, I walked into Fox and Belle hoping to reverse my harsh, chunky, uneven, and brassy highlight lines. Reena and the business owner Judy took a good look at my hair then consulted about the perfect combination of toner/gloss/root melt needed for the job. Reena not only fixed the harsh placement of highlights that I had been devastated over, but toned my hair to the perfect cool shade I was going for originally. Reena and Judy's attention to detail exceeded my expectations of what my hair could look like, but that's not even what impressed me most about the four hours that I spent in the salon that day. Although Reena was new and still learning the unique product names at Fox and Belle, Judy was so patient and kind while she was consulting with her about my color correction. Judy's warm and kind personality almost makes you forget that she's the boss, because she's totally NOT bossy! She's a leader, but also a team builder, and its clear she is passionate about her craft and about making people look and feel their best! The positive vibes in the salon are what keep me coming back every time since that first visit in 2018. In addition to their welcoming environment, they have skills for days. The salon regularly hosts local continuing education workshops and the team of hair stylists attend both local and national elite education events to stay current on the newest trends/techniques/products (and safety/cleaning measures during the COVID-19 pandemic). They are all top notch in their craft, and they're constantly improving and loving what they do. What more could you ask for in a salon and its stylists? Although everybody in the salon is amazing, I'm loyal to Reena, cause she's the best!! She makes you feel welcomed in her chair and makes your hair dreams come true! Despite being bleached, my hair is the healthiest and prettiest it's ever been and I get more compliments about my hair than I ever have. This is a salon that really listens to YOUR preferences. I've been here twice for haircuts now and I leave feeling completely heard. Shoutout to Vichida for her patience with my thick hair! She even debrief what I wanted before cutting to make sure. They are strict with their cancellation policies so make sure you're 100% sure when you book (or reschedule before 24 hours).
