I first decided to get my haircut at Enve when I saw my coworker's amazing Reese Witherspoon-like haircut (the long hair with feathered bangs). My hair is a little difficult to cut and style since it is silky and very straight, but Amanda was able to cut it exactly how I wanted it. She communicated what would look good on me and what she would do to get my hair cut to look like the famous short Katie Holmes haircut. Amanda used a mixture of razoring, dry cutting, and massive amount of layering. She touched it up with a flat iron and Osis Dust powder to add texture. I received compliments from tons of people and even had a few double takes from people in my office. I schedule my hair appointments every 6-8 weeks in advance to keep my hair short but also since Amanda is always booked up 2 months at a time. I would encourage anybody to schedule an appointment at Enve. The stylists are friendly, accommodating, and talented!

I specifically said that I know bangs are tricky and that if the stylist was not comfortable, I did not want her to do them. She assured me she could. She could not. She cut my bangs far too thick and far too wide--essentially from ear to ear--and then, in what felt like a panic, over-thinned them trying to fix it. The result is uneven, stringy, misaligned sections with different lengths, and hair that now starts much farther back on my head than it ever should. This is not a minor mistake--it fundamentally altered the structure of my haircut in a way that cannot be quickly corrected. To make matters worse, she was late to my appointment, and there was no acknowledgment or remedy offered for that. The lack of professionalism continued when I raised concerns. I was told, "it's not a big deal, it will grow," which is incredibly dismissive considering I have multiple family events and travel coming up, including a professional photoshoot. When I spoke to the owner, the response was, "what do you want me to do about it?" There was no accountability, no attempt to meaningfully fix the situation, and no care for how this impacts me beyond the salon chair. While I was not charged for the haircut itself, I still paid $80 for color--and that is the least of what this has cost me. This experience has cost me confidence, comfort, and peace of mind during important family moments that I cannot redo. This was never about saving $20 on a haircut. And Shannon, the owner of the salon always performs amazing transformations on the people I see in her chair. They do take walk-ins if there is an opening, but I would suggest at least a call ahead appointment. Each stylist manages her own schedule and pricing, so it may vary. There is also a true barber shop inside too. Overall the staff is capable, the salon is clean and well maintained, and the end result is always positive. The location is on Bentonville Square, so parking can sometimes be a challenge, but if you plan ahead for time then no worries.
