I went to FCYC to see a band with friends on a Saturday. The waterfront is nice and all, but the place is really dated and in need of a refresh, and not very clean - sticky was the norm. We grabbed a table back from the stage to have a few drinks and some appetizers. The service was decent, but the food was not. The fish tacos looked like two pale slabs of walleye with some coleslaw on a tortilla, and our loaded fries were small, damp, and covered in Bacos. The ladies bathroom is filthy. Broken faucet without running water, no soap to wash hands. Restaurant workers use the same facility. Showers are disgusting and not kept to any kind of decent standard. Missing ladder in the deep end of the pool, which has to be some kind of violation of safety. Addressed these concerns and got ghosted. read more

Poor service, poor management, and your friends will simply laugh at you if you go here. Had a friend we know order drinks for us, they brought the drinks, then later were told this friend was cut off (they are known for over-serving), and then they literally ripped the drinks out of our hands and told us to leave. We were completely fine, and we can more than afford to pay for our drinks. You will never be treated as poorly as you will be here, please spend your money elsewhere. Management does not care about quality customers here. read more

New owners are jacking up prices to pool memberships. Increasing by more than $200 per membership category over last year.

It had been quite a while since I've been here ever since I found a new job and no longer work in Blawnox. I have faint memories of enjoying their wings and happy hour specials. The view itself it's much, you get the river and the yachts which is nice. Their lunch menu is simple and cheap, but it hit the spot. I should've stuck to a beer as their tap soda was flat. Our waitress was attentive though and we had a pleasant meal on a hot summer day. read more

We had our work Christmas party here. They were super accomodating- we had to find a new venue at the list minute. They helped up set up and bring all the gifts in for our employees. The food was delicious especially the chicken. And the service was great. The bartender made great drinks. And we met nice people who were patrons there. Could not have been more happy read more

Great place for anything boat and yacht related. Mr Maxwell has a fantastic operation going here...from new and used watercraft, parts and service, docking and storage, clubhouse, facilities, pool, food, bar...this is the real deal. Best on the three rivers, bar none. read more

Brought my Mercury outboard jet to their shop a couple of weeks ago to have the shift cable replaced. I go to take the boat out yesterday for the first time since being in the shop and the remote won't shift out of neutral into forward at all. There is absolutely no way their technician tested the shifter. My buddy and I spent an hour at the ramp adjusting the cable like Fox Chapel should have before calling it done. I'm out $300 and an hour of my time. I called them today to let them know of the mistake and Mike Burnside acted as if it didn't bother him one bit. Won't be going back to these crooks and will be sure to let my other boating friends know about them. read more

Stopped today to boat shop and talk about joining FCYC. Gentleman behind desk could have cared less. After checking out and being on this beautiful Sea Ray that was for sale alone, we asked him for information on renting a slip and joining the club. He politely told us the girl wasn't there we needed to talk to. We asked to leave a message for her to call us and was told it would be best if we tried calling after Wednesday. Lol. When walking out disappointed that our road trip was wasted and disgusted no one was eager to sell a boat I noticed brochures on the wall with information about renting a slip. So if you want information go to the wall. But if you show up with a dog, this man will happily spend time petting your dog and ignoring clients. read more

Do not buy a used boat from this marina. This place is a hoax and will sell u anything with no standard of testing etc... I purchased a boat recently and it required 15k worth of service to be sea worthy. They patched it up for my boat test and made it run and sound good. meanwhile the boat had serious problems with it and required a great deal of work. Im disgusted with how i have been treated by this marina and i plan to sue them since they have told me that they have no intention of helping me pay for the major problems with the vessel. read more

Terrible maintenance department! They did not get permission to do the work, then charged a ridiculous amount, and the boat did not work! Reviewing the parts charging they double charged us for several parts, then after they claimed to have fixed it - we found eve more parts double charged. After a second trip back the boat still didn't work. Stay away from the service department! read more

If you are thinking of getting food at the Baja Cafe at the Fox Chapel Yacht Club, DON'T. I ordered a Cuban pannini and asked if the bun would be "pressed". When I got it, the bun was pressed, but it looked vaguely familiar. When I picked it up, I realized it was a "pressed" hot dog bun, not pannini. The fries were right out of the freezer. And Italian friend, also present, ordered penne pasta with marinara. She ate about one quarter of it, and would not take the remainder home with her. She said it tasted like tomato soup on soggy noodles. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. read more

This place looks really great, but that is where it ends with regard to treating customers well. In short, lots of pressure with regard to a boat purchase, lack of knowledge when dealing with the parts/service department, and generally abysmal service on all fronts when looking for help (Jes and the lady at the front desk providing water excluded). It is almost like they do not want customers, or at least long term, repeat customers. I could write a short story regarding my experience with this place, but it is really not worth my time. I went in to look at the boats given i just moved to tge area and had my prom once upon a time so while i was there i figured i would inquire about a bartending position .....it was around 1030...being Ive worked in the service industry for over 15 years I understand and empathize with those servers just getting off a double....youre exhausted yes.....this server of who's name is Marta is apparently the hiring manager . I approached her aplogetticaly and kindly explained I was wondering if they were hiring. She turned to me as if I just asked her the most appauling question in the world....she fired comments about training already being completed and asked me to list (even with my resume right in front of her) like a drill Sargent all the bars I've worked at ... What bars in Pgh and when was the most recent...if I had my certification (TABC?) . I said no BC of the fifteen years I've bartender I've never even heard of such a thing but she reacted as if I was some sort of phony or liar....I told her I would gladly comply and fill out an application and bring it back BC clearly she was having a bad day and maybe it would be better to start fresh trying to give her the benefit of the doubt .... I am not one for confrontation and she said well if you've been here for over ten hours you would be like this too....I even tried to make a joke saying I've been there and I would be a bitch too....she ran back threw the application at me and I said you have to excuse me my mother just passed away and I don't really want to deal with any drama and she told me that I shouldn't be a bitch to the hiring manager.....at that point I was stunned that this was even happening the way it was as I myself am a non confrontational person and truly respect and empathize as I've said with those in the industry....this girl Marta looked at me with zero compassion and a sense of entitlement and said you wanna talk to the manager I'll get him for you before I even had a chance to say anything .... Almost as if she wanted to exert her power....of course the manager told me to get the fuck out of here.....I was at a loss....im baffled that this situation even took place .... I HAVE NEVER taken the time to write a review about anything BC as I said its not worth it most times....this I have to share as I found it insulting upsetting let alone unprofessional... Of course the other parties involved will see it as they want...I couldn't be more hurt is the word that comes to mind....I've dealt with my fair share of difficult people ... We all have bad days...but I always have compassion and respect for people .....I am so appauled that no one I know will EVER step foot in there again.....you don't treat anyone like that...I was pushed to my limit and still the worst I could say as I was pushed out is how heartless they were.....don't expect much from there.....unless you have money ....im sure it would have been a much different situation had I came under different circumstances...its unacceptable and should be known read more
