My husband was in a major motorcycle accident at the end of 2019, everyone I knew was telling me to hire a lawyer due to the severity of his injuries. After some research & recommendations, I chose to contact Bruce Fox in Clinton. He arrived at the ICU at UT Hospital and answered all my questions, he reassured me that I would not have to worry about the mounting medical bills, he did explain their billing process. After 4 months in multiple hospitals/rehabs my husband came home, minus his lower left leg. Everyone I came in contact with during the process was kind, professional, and after Covid started, they followed protocols. We recently settled our case, got the maximum we could, and do not have any outstanding medical bills, or money owed to Medicare. I was a client theirs back in 2013. I paid a substantial sum of money to get a divorce. After the initial paperwork was filed, my lawyer left the firm. Neither he nor fox and farley contacted me to let me know. I sat for 6 months waiting to hear back. When l finally called they told me they assumed I'd had just gone with him. Ok, honest enough mistake. But they stated they did not have a divorce lawyer at the time. I commented l had paid them, wished to stay with them thinking loyalty would be rewarded. They never got me in to apologize for the mistake of forgetting about me or to consult with another lawyer! I ended doing all the legwork with no legal representation for me and my rights doing the paperwork, and had to come to an agreement all on my own fighting with my ex. I wrote down the less than stellar terms as they were to be drafted, and they wrote up the paperwork. After my first visit, l never saw another lawyer again! They drafted the divorce decree but did not speak with me or give me the benefit of legal counsel, that had paid for! I had no idea what l was doing and if not for the secretaries, I'd still be married to my ex! The best part; lawyer filling in the day of the divorce even managed to not call my name so l sat thru every other court proceeding before the judge asked me what I was there for, turns out the lawyer had turned my paperwork back in as a no show. When I called and told them it would be nice to get some of my money back, they said they did not do reimbursements. Im sure l slipped thru the cracks, but their mismanagement of my situation was shameful on their part and I would strongly recommend you seek legal counsel elsewhere. Once they got my money, they had no interest in taking care of my needs. I know that mistakes can and will happen, but not addressing it or refunding some of my money and saying sorry for the foul-up, come on! Utterly deplorable. Shame! read more

I hired Kevin to represent me in my divorce and he would not call me back. I called for weeks and never could get a return call. Kevin would always be sick and didn't show up for Court. I paid a new attorney to finish the job he couldn't do. He made everything sound good in our first meeting and once he had the check, nothing happened. read more

From our first consultation through our Administrative Law Judge hearing last week Mr. Anderson was incredibly proactive and positive regarding my application. Although the process of getting to the ALJ hearing phase took nearly a year, Mr. Anderson kept me informed at every step and also handled my case with remarkable due diligence, collecting hundreds of pages of medical and financial paperwork for use in supporting the very thorough and persuasive brief that he wrote for the ALJ in advance of my hearing. As the hearing approached, Mr. Anderson scheduled two sessions specifically with me to prep me thoroughly for exactly what to expect at the hearing. We went over my records and he helped me have a clear and very specific understanding of exactly what types of questions the judge would likely have for me at the hearing. All of this preparation paid off; because I knew what to expect in the hearing, I was able to understand what sort of info the judge was seeking and I was also able to answer his questions in the way that Mr. Anderson had advised me that he (the judge) would find most helpful. Obviously Mr. Anderson's months of conscientious work on my behalf paid off; the judge told us before the hearing was even over that he had decided to award me Social Security disability benefits plus applicable back pay. I know from my external reading that a positive decision by a judge directly from the bench almost never happens and when it does, it's largely due to the attorney's preparation of his/her client, plus having the appropriate records available along with a clear and compelling brief for the judge to get a concise understanding of the case. I can't recommend Ed Anderson highly enough. I've rarely had a more satisfying experience with a professional service provider. He's also polite, pleasant and always willing to answer all of my questions. I would definitely select him again as my attorney in this or any other similar matter.

As for the error, in the taxes, I have provided screenshots of emails between myself and Mary. Moral of the story do not use these CPAs, as proof by Todd's lying below and unwillingness to make things right when customers have been wronged. I used Culpepper for three years and will not be returning. The first year was excellent, but my experience declined sharply after that. In the second year, communication with Mary became difficult, she was hard to reach and frequently offered excuses for delays. Our taxes are somewhat complex, and I expect extensions, which was the case for both 2023 and 2024. In 2023, despite poor communication, we finalized our taxes shortly after the deadline, so I let it go. 2024, however, was unacceptable. Mary prepared both our business and personal taxes. While working on our personal return, almost a month later, she discovered an error in the business return and attempted to blame me, claiming I hadn't communicated a change. That change was clearly included in the information sheet we provide every year. She eventually corrected the mistake at no charge, but only after deflecting responsibility. Meanwhile, weeks went by between responses, filled with the same excuses as the prior year. She didn't file our taxes until July, over three months past the deadline. I paid the bill but raised no further complaint at the time. Later, my husband called to give them an opportunity to make things right after they charged us an exorbitant fee for both returns, plus penalties from the late filing. Instead of addressing our concerns, they refused to let us speak with anyone other than Mary. She repeatedly placed blame on me and insisted she had done her due diligence, despite the fact that I had documented the gaps in communication with a clear timeline. Nothing was resolved. Because of this, I will no longer use Culpepper and strongly caution others against doing so.

We had our appointment at the end of April and our return was not complete until early June. I found an error that reduced our tax liability by $7,000. I was told that we would be getting a letter from the IRS regarding the late filing and that I should send that to the CPA and she would request an abatement of the penalty since we had never filed or paid late before. I assumed that was part of the process that we had paid for, but then I got an additional bill for almost $200. If I had known that there would be an extra charge, I would've just called the IRS myself.

I became involved with Fox and Farley after I tripped and fell on broken concrete in the parking lot of a Knoxville restaurant and broke my arm. I was transported to the emergency room by ambulance and remained overnight for surgery the next morning. I stayed two additional nights after surgery. My cousin, who is an attorney, looked over my case to see if I had a legitimate claim against the restaurant. He recommended Bruce Fox and called Bruce to set up an appointment to see if Bruce wanted to pursue my case. Bruce met with me, my husband, and my cousin one afternoon and I immediately felt that Bruce understood all the pain and trauma that I had been through. This feeling of complete understanding continued until my final meeting with Bruce and Beth at the end of my case. One word I would use to describe my relationship with Fox and Farley is "Important." I was involved in a shooting incident, a bullet came through the wall of my house and hit me in the right leg and put me in the hospital. A neighbor shooting at an old satellite dish and the bullet went straight through it and straight through the wall of my house and put me in the hospital and injured me for life! Brad Burnette represented me in my case and did an AMAZING JOB!!!! His paralegals, especially Andrea Hancock, but the whole team, they were just incredible.
