When the trash company didn't deliver the dumpster we ordered and the first trash hauler didn't show up (twice!), I was desperate. A+ from beginning to end. I sent mail through yelp to 10 places, asking them to give me an estimate by text only if they could be there that day at a certain time. I got 9 responses with phone calls, delays, no estimate, "can't make it today, how's tomorrow?" and all the rest. I had a one day window to get it done and could not mess around. Only FOX Junk Removal texted me a reasonable estimate and confirmed their availability that day. The price was very reasonable, they were SUPER nice and responsive to more questions, no surprises and when I asked them to haul 3x as much as originally planned, it was just a little more than the original and they handled everything, lifting and neatly taking it away. They were the two nicest people, smart and normal and spoke English! DO NOT go to home depot and try to make a deal with some guys who might have a truck and who will wait til you're desperate before they triple the price. Don't do it! Best service ever . They did my house in Highland Park March 29. Eric & Linda were so nice & professional considering how dirty my house was . And there were a long flight of stairs that they had to haul heavy furniture through . Took about a couple hours to haul all my stuff , so they worked tirelessly. There was another guy w/ them ( I forgot the name ) but he was cool too . Linda is a bad ass . I've never seen a petit woman haul heavy furniture like it was nobodies business. Terrific! They just saved us after a fence repair job, when Athens (I like them a lot) wouldn't haul away the wood I'd had stacked at the end of the driveway. (Special call.) It needed to be cut into 4' lengths and tied into 45# origami bundles, something we just weren't up to. So I Yelped Fox Junk Removal, and called. They came out that same morning, AND charged less than the phone estimate, once they'd seen the job. Beautiful clean-up, too! (I only wish I could get them to enlarge the scope of their jobs... For example, the tops of our kitchen cupboards need cleaning, and I'm getting over a broken foot!) They were very reasonably priced, considering ALL of the work they had in store for them, including the fact that my mother's apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevators. Todd's bid was by far the lowest and I returned his call and set up a day and time to pick up my items that needed to be hauled away. After setting up the date and time a neighbor informed me that the City of Pasadena has a "Bulky Removal" for its residents. I went on line and sure enough, I sent an email to the City Services and they contacted me a couple of hours later an an appointment was made and it is a FREE pickup. I'm writing about my experience with one of their employees on July 29 2020 in Pasadena. The moving company was moving out furniture from my neighboring unit at 8AM. The noise they created was enough to startle me and wake me up. The noise that were creating was enough to bother me until they left at 1pm and leaving me unable able to work out of home. In attempt to talk to one of the employees about trying to keep the noise down he was very disrespectful. His responses to me were very short, rude, and before our conversation ended he just walked away from me. It's definitely not how I or anyone would want to start a day. I understand that moving does create a lot of noise, but the employees should be aware of how they affect neighboring units especially early in the morning. During this Covid era, many like myself are forced to work out of home, but this is impossible because of their inconsiderate work behavior. It is completely infuriating! I called the company to complain about this, and the representative told me the manager would call me back, but the person who called me back was not the manager, and didn't really make me feel better about their inconsiderate behavior. read more

In searching for a company to take my old piano, I came across Fox Junk removal. I read all the great reviews and then called. They initially quoted me a $200 estimate over the phone (I have a lot of stairs) then when they got here, the amended quote was LESS. I asked if I could throw in some old chairs and they just added $5 to the total. The total was less than the initial phone quote. I could not be happier with their services. I encourage anyone reading this review to use this junk removal service when you have bulky items (like my former fridge) to be removed...because you will NOT be disappointed or let down by this junk removal company, or find them wanting. I certainly didn't, and this is the first time I ever used Yelp at all (for non-food needs). For they were polite, prepared and efficient. THE STORY OF MY JUNK (Fridge) My rather ancient, 25 year bulky old Kenmore fridge - which has been stuck in our apartment unit kitchen since time immemorial (okay 19 years) was finally seeing the end of its days... leaking water, gradually losing its ability to keep my food cold. It needed to be removed, ASAP. But the BIG issue was...that fridge was STUCK in the space for the refrigerator...there was literally NO wiggle room ....AT ALL. It was rammed into place when I first got it. And on top of that, it had no wheels (unlike some of the fridges we have today) to move it with. After going on yelp and seeing the reviews, I decided to call them up and they told me they'd send their men (KARL and MARCEL) out to take care of my refrigerator. On the appointed day, and at the appointed time their two men arrived that morning. I was for a moment, concerned that they might not be able to do the job after they saw how my fridge was stuck in place. Or worse - that we might have to physically saw off the counter that was keeping the fridge in. But luckily - KARL and MARCEL came prepared and well trained....and it showed. With several blows from their mighty sledge hammer ....they dislodged the fridge from its spot and carted it away to their truck. They put my main door back in its place (which had to be removed because the fridge was so bulky) and our business was concluded within 30 minutes of their arrival. Polite, prepared and efficient - they are deserving of its average 5 star rating on Yelp. The only CON of my entire experience was....that the appointment was at 7:30 in the MORNING....but I needed this thing removed more than I needed sleep and I didn't want to wait until the next available afternoon appointment! TL:DR - Found them on yelp, they (KARL and MARCEL) removed my stuck, aging fridge from my apartment in 30m, they cleaned up after themselves and put everything they moved back in its place- they deserve their 5 star rating. read more
