We moved into the house just over 2 years ago. We started getting a lot of ants all over the house, in the basement, ground and first floor. Huge carpenter ants and the really small ones too. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars later and spending a year trying to get rid of them with various baits and traps inside and outside without any results. I think it got worse to be honest. They were just overwhelming. We also had mice in the attic. Fox pest control service some of our neighbors and I decided to give them a try. They did 3 application outside and 2 inside and the ants were gone within a month. It's amazing we haven't even even seen one ant for almost a year now. None of the mice traps have sprung either. During high season I used to pull a couple off ticks off the dog every month or so. Since getting Fox, they also do applications around the perimeter of the property for ticks and other bugs/critters and I haven't seen a tick on our dog either. Outside of the quarterly applications I called them for an underground wasp nest issue last summer. They were very quick to respond and were out the next day to resolve it. I love the consistency of their emails and texts giving us the heads up of when the next treatment is going to be. They've always been quick to respond for any issues and I'd say what I love most, is the peace of mind that the kids and the dog are able to run around and enjoy the yard whilst being safe. read more

After spending 20 minutes on the phone with Brandon because I refused to sign a monthly service contract, he did not bother to send anyone to give me an estimate to remove a wasp nest from my gutter. He used Google street view of my house, which is not reliable due to the distance from the road. Lazy! Do not ever visit my home unsolicited because I will never use you and will consistently recommend to all my neighbors and friends to never use you either. We called Fox for a bad wasp/yellowjacket problem. They said they'd come out for $93, remove the nests and spray. Well, they did NOT remove the nests, sprayed the wrong spray (according to the company that came to clean up their mess), and charged us $202! When we called to complain that the wasps had moved into the house, they did not offer to send a technician out OR refund our money. Their customer service was absolutely terrible. Additionally, they had told us we'd need them to come back every quarter to respray for "eggs" (for an additional charge, of course) - the company that came to undo what they'd done told us that is absolutely NOT necessary. I had contract with Fox pest control. The contract was to come out quarterly and on an as needed basis if there was a real infestation well this happened and we called to have somebody sent out right away to take care of our infestation. Fox never called me back. I called from a different number as if I were a new customer and what do you know, as a new customer they could make it out to my house same day; as an existing customer they wouldn't even return my call so I canceled my contract with them and do not recommend them for anything. there are many highly confident exterminators if you need one do not go with this large company that only cares about getting new customers and doesn't care about their existing customers. It's very very poor business practice. In terms of value there is no value in paying for anything. Hysterically they called to ask how they could win our business back. There is no way, even if they offered free service for five years because I know that service would not happen. read more

Fox failed to live up to the 30 day window that they represented to me on my initial call as my neighbors recommended them. They sprayed for bee's under my shingle and would not spray in the laundry room where I was seeing the bees, they said to give if 2 weeks and if the bees were back they would come out again within the 30 day window. I called after 2 weeks, as the bees were back in my laundry room and NOPE.. FOX said I would have to pay again. . Fox would not come out free of charge and they would not give me my money back. They are a terrible company and very rude to their customers. My neighbor will be canceling their service contact also and selecting a more reputable company. read more

Someone from their company showed up at my front door and practically broke the door down, trying to get me to come to answer. He rang my doorbell three times and then he started banging on the door itself. He started off by telling me that Vicky down the street already canceled her current company and hired Fox. There is no Vicky down the street as I know my neighbors. I had no idea why he was at the front door and after multiple of attempts of me asking him what he wanted and why he was at my front door. He told me that he was from Fox Pest Control. I honestly was very polite and told him no thank you and he continued to persist over and over again. He was aggressive and quite frankly he was scary. When he finally took no thank you for an answer, he then demanded to know who my current pest control company was. I finally closed the door and locked it and he left. If this is how Fox pest control, solicit customers, I think they should rethink how they go about trying to get new business. read more

A salesman came by and told me my neighbors were Fox Pest Control clients. They told me he said the same thing to them about me Once I contacted them after the sale. We walked around my yard, he noted all the issues, told me the treatments I would receive. He told me that other companies only treat the yard and that their services include the home and the yard. When the service man came, both very nice by the way, he told me they don't treat the yard, he didn't even have a spreader on his vehicle. He threw a couple of handfuls of the crystals in one or two places in my yard and sprayed around the base of the house. No I don't have internal problems no one asked to come into the house. Now, I have the biggest Infestation of ants I've ever seen. Bees in the wall. I called last week to speak to management, they escalated and I still have not heard back. I called again today they don't even know the name of the branch manager but I'm supposed to hear back. What I can tell you is multilevel partnerships like this have terrible accountability and are using coercive dishonest sales techniques and promising services that you will not receive. Using tricks like your neighbors our customers so you're gonna save x money, then promising services they don't even care to fulfill, is misrepresentation and is punishable by loss of license, fines, and even being barred from the industry. I await any type of interaction from their management. This is very sad I always refrain from posting reviews because most companies have accountability. I must say that after all said and done. This company was once a really respected company however since the original owners of this company were 100% competent as well were truly professionals. After the service was completed I found myself having to pay another company come finish the job that seemed to have been rectified was not at all. I called them back out to inspect prior to getting another company. The man that came to speak to me took the box filled with insects that were still existing. This man took the box I had with my proof of the existence of insects left behind. He fumbled what I handed him and inevitably dropped it to the ground. The second visit was complete in and out within less than 10 minutes. I had suspected that something was just not right. Unbeknownst to the workers when I left my home as protocol for the safety of customers I stayed close to watch. After several reminders from myself to lock up my home when finished, not only were the doors left unlocked they were left completely open. I followed all the preparations pre spray. One in particular was to pull furniture and such from the walls. Who could even imagine that my dishwasher would be considered an item to be moved as well. I found it unscrewed and pulled out. My dishwasher was then replaced with a dish strainer.the cover to my new refrigerator was knocked loose and I clips were damaged. When I called regarding the damage it was swiftly addressed and fell off within the same day. I contribute this as part of the big rush. Job well done = NOT!! While speaking to an acquaintance of a rather large company in town told me they too changed pest control companies I guess I posted my review was rushed.Rude, lacking knowledge as I even watched new worker try to figure out how to put on his protective suit. They say "Word of mouth" is the best advertisement as well good and bad recommendations. I have signed up for a monthly agreement with another company and have not been more pleased! Enough said! Beware and do your research prior to contacting with a pest control company as unfortunately I did not with Fox. I paid Fox pest a monthly fee for over 2 years to control ants. I never saw any change in the ant population. This year I am NOT using them. I canceled my contract with them.......Which was quite difficult and then they kept trying to bill me after I cancelled. Each time I called and gave them the date and person I cancelled with, re sent my cancellation email, only to get a bill for the next month. Finally, after some choice words on the phone, they stopped billing me. My ant population is exactly the same this year, as it was when I was paying for treatment. Hi Abby, We did call and were offered a $10 refund for the person not showing up. As to the other issue, we were told they can reduce the total by 5% but we'd have to pay monthly rather than quarterly. Seems we have to pay for the dishonesty of a salesman rather than the company. So not sure why we would call at this point when we already attempted that and we're not satisfied with what was offered and thought it was unfair. Abby, I tried emailing you at your address and the email bounced back. Update: I emailed in response to Abby's message here in which I was told a branch manager would call back, I then followed up again and was told a branch manager would look into it and call us back... no call back after all this time. BEWARE of this company. They charge you 70 per month for services that you dont need and they dont provide. They only come out 1x per quarter. When you call and try to cancel, they charge 250 to get out of a contract that was not explained in the first place. Paid a monthly fee of 69.00 for a year for services...to be performed quarterly. When I had a recent issue with kitchen ants I had to wait 3 weeks for my 'scheduled' service date. I was not happy...but had already prepaid. I let them know I would not renew for the upcoming year..when the technician finally came he treated the areas outside saying that would likely solve my problem but he would return if it didn't. It didn't . When I called today for the follow-up FOR THE SERVICE I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR..the man who answered literally laughed and said if I wanted someone to come back I would have to resign for another year...based on other reviewers I will check my credit card statement carefully for fraudulent charges..stay away from this company. After services not being provided being threatened with a $250 bill to cancel on top of paying for services not provides is a disgrace. Speaking to their customer service team who repeat you signed the agreement. Instead of offering to make up for poor service, hitting loyal customers with additional fees with the threat of those going to collections if not paid is not the way to run a business. Do NOT enter into a contract with this company!!! Not only are the pest treatments ineffective, so is the availability to discuss the issues with anyone who can do something. We pay $67 a month for essentially 4 visits throughout the year. 4 treatments are ineffective. I have had to request Fox to visit 2 additional times over the summer due to covered pests returning. Recently, I have had to make several more calls for another issue. I was promised a technician would come out, no one showed. I called again, requesting resolution, but there is no accountability for Fox not upholding their end of the contract. I cannot connect by phone to any decision maker and basically have been getting bounced around to people. I want out of my contract and to be done with this company. Before any services were rendered, I was asked to sign the contract. Now under contract, despite Fox not upholding their responsibilities, I cannot terminate unless I pay $250. read more

A few months ago, my friend and I were trying to free a trapped feral cat from a cage under the hot sun. Sean was driving by and pulled over in his company truck to help. He spent several minutes carefully freeing the anxious cat, which was clearly very grateful. We were so impressed by the technician's willingness to take the time to help two strangers and an animal in need. It's clear that he is a caring and responsible individual, and I would highly recommend him and his company to anyone looking for pest control services. Fox Pest Control in Oxford has done an adequate job over past few years spraying around foundation and filling mouse poison boxes. However, unhappy with the several times appointments scheduled too soon or even after just postponing one. It is a nuisance to continually be contacted when I had agreement I would call when I needed their services. It just happened again, last week service person left voicemail they were coming and I called to postpone. Fox agreed I could call back to schedule when desired. A week later, called me again this week stating they are coming! Called back and no note made of last cancellation. Last Straw..when unfriendly employee stated if I cancelled a second time my service might be cancelled. I have quit them and will use a more customer-center company. read more

Techs uninformed as to what needed to be done. They promise to come with certain equipment it wasn't until 6 months later that finally tech showed up with correct equipment to do the job. This is now a company that hardly picks up their customer service line, but if you dial the same number and hit 2 for "adding a service" someone picks up right away. Fox pest control is all smoke and mirrors. They deceive people and have terrible customer service. They did absolutely nothing for my rodent problem. They put out poison which just killed the mice inside my walls and stunk up my basement. Once poison was all eaten, new mice returned. I told the technician when I called to complain but all he did was come again and set up more poison! Since they say "100% money back guarantee", I requested to end my contract with them. Suddenly I was told I had to give them 30 day written notice (so they can charge me another month of fees) and pay an "early termination fee of $150". This is bs! When I signed up for the monthly service, I had two separate people tell me that I can terminate service at any time with no termination fee. I have a service contract. Had a yellow jacket infestation and called to get someone to my house to address the problem. I was told it would be a week for someone to get there. First of all where was the fulfillement of the promise by the sales person to get someone to our house within 24 hours in the event of an emergency. Fox is a good name for the company. They are sneaky and sly. I am always home but some way the manage to service my property without ever letting me know they are here. I call and ask for inside treatment for mice and they show up without traps or put rat traps down to catch mice. If they don't ask to come inside especially since I have them for mice in my attic how can I get rid of them. Quarterly service to replace bait in outdoor boxes is completely inadequate. They get paid monthly for 4 visits a year when I can't even tell if they have even been to my house except for the prompt and timely withdrawals on my credit card.
