They shipped out two pairs of shoes very quickly and took both of them back without question, providing me with a quick refund. (My wife didn't like the style of shoe, nothing wrong with them.) I called and spoke to someone before shipping them back and I received polite and helpful service. Only thing they could to improve is something that no small business can afford: free shipping. Ordered a pair of shoes that were suppose to ship to my house. When I didn't see them for several days I called to check on the status. Amber was awesome. A follow up call with Susan (owner) was awful. She was rude and unprofessional. Where I come from that is not how a customer is treated. The customer service in Appleton is horrible! If I could give a negative star rating I would. I bought a pair of rubber birkenstocks less than 30 days ago and the buckle fell off. What can I say about this place? They have many different brands of quality shoes. Pay now for the shoes or later for back, hip, leg and feet problems. What amazes me is for each brand, they have many styles. Not just a couple. This is a one stop shop for sandals or shoe shopping. Cute styles too. As for the man who waited on me... I was diehard about getting my whole family new Birkenstock's for this summer. We purposely made the trip from Wausau over to Appleton in search of more variety. This was the first store we checked on Sunday 5/2/21 in the Morning as they were the first ones open. the selection of shoes was beautiful, although a tad over priced. I don't mind spending more however if the service is good. I found several pairs I could easily have gotten, and didn't even get a chance to look for my kids. I inquired with the sales lady about conversion size for my husband (who, let me back up a second neither she nor her coworker greeted us when we entered).....so I asked what I had to get. She snappily said well it depends on if your truly buying for the length or because he has a wide foot. I jokingly replied, I wasn't sure, all I really knew was that he was big enough for him to stick in his mouth. She got this angry salty look on her face, and goes, that doesn't help me....well, I'm sorry, I was trying to be funny and felt my mannerisms and attitude were on point. I left there without making a purchase and more so than any mitigating factor, was the attitude of the employees. I ended up going to Tradehome in Appleton Mall and purchasing 6 pairs of Birkenstocks. I guess apparently Vagabond is not interested in making $600 ‍ I even remarked to my friend as I left the store and she agreed the woman was rude to me. read more

They took such good care of my hard to fit tired feet!! The help in finding the most comfortable & amazing shoes was & is so appreciated! While I love a great selection of Birkenstocks, I also appreciate an ounce of quality customer service. Walked in today as the singleton sales associate was helping another group. She averted eye contact, no hello or acknowledgment of any kind. We needed some help finding the men's selections, but she seemed to ignore us. We finally got some service when the other customer said, "um, maybe you can help them quick." Finally, she ran and grabbed my requested size. I ordered online from Fox Valley Birkenstock. They let you order items online that aren't even in stock. Instead, you give them your personal contact information and they notify you the next day that they do not have the shoe you want. No apologies. It has been 10 days since I ordered the item that they do not have, and it is still listed online. Do not trust their website. The website states. "Your satisfaction is guaranteed." I recently purchased Birkenstock Footprints from online store Fox Valley. Immediately after placing the order, I happened to come across reviews that horrified me about the company. I feared the worst, expecting I might have wasted my money, only to receive my shoes, in the correct color and size, within two weeks. I ordered a pair of shoes back in March that were out of stock. Therefore, i was given a store credit. I have been trying to reach someone since March to assist me since the credit will not work online, but so far i have been unable to reach anyone! I did get someone to reply but there was never any follow-up to assist in getting another pair of shoes. The phone # is of no use because no one answers the phone. I am usually a very patient person but am incredibly frustrated about this because it would take only 1 minute to resolve should anyone over there care. I've sent at least a dozen e-mails too. This woman, Kathleen, has been systematically stealing from her customers since at least 2007. I ordered 2 pair of shoes on January 14, 2013, received one pair only, although my card was charged immediately for both pair, and now cannot get her to return my emails. Both phone numbers listed on her websites are non-working. I urge other potential customers to purchase from her at their own risk because you will have a very good chance of not receiving your merchandise. DO NOT SHOP at Fox Valley Birkenstock at their Appleton, WI store. They used to have an online website. They closed that business last spring 2013. Guess what? I ordered a pair of shoes in March and returned them in April. I received a credit on May 7, 2013. The credit was valid thru May 7, 2014. Guess what I called to use the credit. AND I CANNOT even use the credit thru their store. The woman was rude, and didn't even care that I would be down $90. She kept saying that the online store was different than the actual store. I don't care. You give someone a credit - you should be able to honor it. Or you should at least inform online customers that your site would be closing so you can use the credit. I recently was treated extremely rudely and poorly from the salesperson at the Appleton, WI store when I requested to return a Christmas gift. The owner, Kathy Kelnhofer, did not deem it necessary to call or discuss the issue at hand, just simply ignored me as well. I've been a regular and very loyal customer for years, however, now I will take my business, along with the other women I've recommended them to, elsewhere. After discussions about this issue with other business people in the area, I've learned that this is normal business practices with this store. I found the sandals I had been looking for! I had to pay a lot more than I am used to, this is not a discount shoe it. The associates here will give you undivided attention once they know you are interested, but they don't crowd the browser.
