Pastor Jeff Bucknam delivered one of the best Easter sermons I've ever heard today!…read more Harvest Bible Chapel is not perfect (and no church is) and it has had a challenging past (not unlike most churches), but where it is at today is aligned with the purpose it began with... biblically centered teaching. Watch some of the sermons online and you'll see what we experience live... line by line teaching of the Bible. Pastor Jeff specifically includes relatable personal stories and while he's humble, he does not refrain from challenging the congregation and offing an unapologetic view of scripture. We are working on getting connected into a small group and would eventually like to serve, and one of the things that could be better is the connection center at the end of services. I know the team is short on volunteers, but I have had the chance to meet a few people. We also feel comfortable here because there is a little more diversity than some of the other churches in the area. There are also a ton of programs for children, both during service and throughout the year, like summer camps and youth ministries. Choosing a church is very personal and sometimes, larger congregations get a bad rap. I think that HBC is on the upswing, so stop by and check it out for yourself!

The philosophy of this church and the way in which they embrace everyone who enters is just really neat to see. We came from a huge church, searching for a closer group of folks to do life with and we found it. The teachings are relevant, biblical and man, do they sometimes really hit home. The music is great as well. Led Zeppelin, Mumford and Sons, The Avett Brothers, The National, classic hymns and more.... you really can't go wrong with the genres of music they incorporate into the services. I would love to see people let loose a little bit more but that's my own personal issue and relationship with music - don't judge. The children's church is great and the kids always leave with a verse and a cute project. They have made friends and don't pitch a fit when it's time to go - can I get an Amen?! They have volleyball teams, a wine event to benefit a great ministry, support local schools, do trivia nights and so much more. I highly recommend visiting and if you need a friend to go with, send me a "hey girl, hey"!

We have been attending here for over 3 years, and I can say that my family and I have found our people here. I have been able to grow in my faith with meaningful messages and intentional community. They are really family friendly. We have two kiddos (4 & 8) and they love going to kids church, where they have age appropriate teachings and get to connect with friends. You can also keep your kids in the service (some folks do!) if you or they are more comfortable with that. They have free coffee & donuts every week so if you're running late don't worry about grabbing coffee before you leave. The music during service is amazing, there are lots of small groups to join, and their children's ministry is phenomenal! As a mother of tiny children, let me assure you that your children are nearby to the sanctuary (the place where the service is held) while you are in service yourself. Small children are checked in with an iPad program and labels are printed for mother and children. It is a very small congregation. The people there are lovely, warm, and welcoming.

They have statues where you can light real candles for $3 below them. Other places have those electronic ones which makes it seem cheap and unholy. They have English mass at 9 and 11:30 am. There's a Spanish mass at 1 pm. The parking is about a block away at their school. There's also parking behind the church.
