She directed us to get our own water from the self-serve station. I did like that I could do the wine flight from the table vs. they only offer the 6 wine tasting from the bar. I was a little disappointed that no one explained which wine was which, and I was left guessing when I ordered all sweet wines and a couple that looked very similar. When I later wanted to order a glass, I apparently picked the wrong one, but none of them were horrible so that was OK. I also ordered the small charcuterie plate, which was a perfect snack plate. Some of our party ordered flatbreads and wraps, which also looked really good, so I would definitely try this place again. This place doesn't seem like they're that good at accommodating large groups as they only have small round tables they had pushed together, but we made it work. They seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. If you like sweet wines, my favorite was the Sweet Purple Lady, followed by Blackberry. I took a bottle home.

To drink, my mom and I had the wine swirl slushy, and my brother had a bourbon old fashioned, all of which we enjoyed. As a lightweight, I liked that the slushy was tasty without being too boozy for me. Our server, Charlie, was very friendly. Staff may want to remember that they can be heard in the dining room from behind the wall that I suppose is blocking off the kitchen; we heard a lot of hollering and swearing at one point. Regarding accessibility, this is an old building and is rather precarious. I use a cane and noted that there is no railing for the steps outside, or the ones inside to get out to the courtyard (my mom mentioned that my dad, who loses his balance due to a medical condition, had also mentioned this on a previous visit). The bathroom I visited was also tiny, literally a water closet. There is also a rather steep slope in the floor from the lobby room to the dining room. If you use a wheelchair, I don't know that this building would be accessible at all from the exterior. Be warned, the park is open to the public . There are children running around everywhere. I was hit by a baseball some boys were throwing. I watched another couple get hit by a football and spill their wine on themselves. There are many dogs at this event, not all of them were friendly. We set up our chairs near the waters edge and witness many parents dropping their kids off by the water with instructions to "stay here" while they visited the wine booths. Kids will be kids and they all ended up in the river with no adult supervision. So if your not into watching other peoples children, dog fights or being hit by balls I would not recommend this event.
