She directed us to get our own water from the self-serve station. I did like that I could do the wine flight from the table vs. they only offer the 6 wine tasting from the bar. I was a little disappointed that no one explained which wine was which, and I was left guessing when I ordered all sweet wines and a couple that looked very similar. When I later wanted to order a glass, I apparently picked the wrong one, but none of them were horrible so that was OK. I also ordered the small charcuterie plate, which was a perfect snack plate. Some of our party ordered flatbreads and wraps, which also looked really good, so I would definitely try this place again. This place doesn't seem like they're that good at accommodating large groups as they only have small round tables they had pushed together, but we made it work. They seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. If you like sweet wines, my favorite was the Sweet Purple Lady, followed by Blackberry. I took a bottle home.

The grape stomping is a great way to dance away your stress. Everyone was adulting and socializing with one another. They had many activities for the adults and children. Art Station, Selfie Stations and lots of dancing. The Tasting Room was open for you to do a wine tasting. I fell in love with the Purple Lady wine. The wine slushies were the Big Hit of the day. Sable Creek has an Open Mic Night & Bingo Night. They have a nice selection of wines, slushies and a small food menu. I wish I lived closer to this Hidden Gem. In an old storefront building but they have also added a charming courtyard on the back. They make a LOT of wines! And the food menu is quite robust as well, not just snacks or a cheese plate, as at some places. We split the ham sliders and the chicken raspberry flatbread sandwich, both of which were very tasty and came with crisp kettle chips. To drink, my mom and I had the wine swirl slushy, and my brother had a bourbon old fashioned, all of which we enjoyed. As a lightweight, I liked that the slushy was tasty without being too boozy for me. Our server, Charlie, was very friendly. Staff may want to remember that they can be heard in the dining room from behind the wall that I suppose is blocking off the kitchen; we heard a lot of hollering and swearing at one point. Regarding accessibility, this is an old building and is rather precarious. I use a cane and noted that there is no railing for the steps outside, or the ones inside to get out to the courtyard (my mom mentioned that my dad, who loses his balance due to a medical condition, had also mentioned this on a previous visit). The bathroom I visited was also tiny, literally a water closet. There is also a rather steep slope in the floor from the lobby room to the dining room. If you use a wheelchair, I don't know that this building would be accessible at all from the exterior. Overall, it's worth the drive out to Genoa if you already aren't in this area to check out Prairie State Winery. Cheers!
