What a great winery and so close to Chicago! The building looks like a castle and the gorgeous woodwork throughout the inside is something to marvel at. They have a delicious selection of wines which you can either by as a glass, get 3 - 3oz flight, or 6 tastings. The employees are gracious and friendly and they have a delicious array of snacks, cheeses, bread, etc. to pair with your wine.

The Lynfred Winery is a true suburban gem tucked away in Roselle near the main street businesses. It's an anchor when there are Roselle festivals, like Rose fest or Taste of Roselle. We recently returned to buy Christmas wines and gifts for hostess baskets or parties and the tasting room offers a fun opportunity to try a few wines and some new foods through food truck vendors. Tonight's vendor was delicious Filipino food. Check out their website for more future food truck days in 2024. I always love the Christmas spiced Red wine but wanted to try the white. This fragrant spiced wine is so good warm and is not too sweet. I loved the sparkling rose' too and bought a bottle of this crisp, dry, bubbly wine for the holidays.

This is my favorite place to be at for wine! Their wine is amazing second time here the staff and everything was great definitely will be back! Also go to the wine tour!

We won a gift certificate to this winery in an auction for Give Kids the World Village. It was a really nice treat. The winery is located in the main street area of Schaumburg. There is plenty of parking on the side of the winery as well as behind it. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for a flight of three glasses of wine. I chose white and rose wines and my husband had the rose and fruit wines. They all tasted great. They also come with cheese and crackers, as well as bread sticks. Service was friendly and warm.

Finally came in to Lynfred for a visit and fell in love with it. Christina, thank you for the opportunity!! I came with 2 other girlfriends. We arrived around 3p and the place was busy! There were alot of people sitting out front at covered tables and one friendly couple helped direct us to the entrance. The winery itself is very welcoming and beautiful. You can tell its well kept and care is taken in its appearance. We did a mixture of tastings. Laura was helpful, funny and provided a joyful experience. When Laura stepped away from the bar, there was a young lady (no taller than 5'2, red-head or brunette, couldn't tell exactly) who stepped in and wasn't friendly at all and seemed to be bothered when we requested our next glass for tasting. :/ We did order the charcuterie box with different meats and cheeses to go along with our wine. It was tasty. My favorite wine was the Assemblage. It's a very smooth red with a tinge of sweetness. Despite the one staff member, I would go back. It's a beautiful escape from the city and was a great experience!

What a friendly staff! I was a little bit nervous initially walking in because I was in an area I did not know, and I could already tell there wasn't much diversity. Thankfully, I was greeted with smiles and continued to be helped. Overall pleasant experience. The wine was smooth, flavorful and good pricing. If I'm ever in the area again, I would recommend. Beautiful space.

How ironic - a five-star review of a winery for a guy who doesn't even drink wine! My wife and I stopped by while on vacation, since we got a certificate through a charity auction. From looking at reviews, it appears that the winery does support quite a few charitable endeavors, which is laudable. I love the vibe of this place! There are plenty of seating options both inside and out, covered and uncovered to enjoy wine, cheese, meats, etc. They seem to have quite an active following, as the location was busy on the weekend (plenty of parking), but not too busy to enjoy. There's also a nice selection of retail items available, wine-themed and other fruit oriented. The service was so friendly, as I've not been to a winery in years, and wasn't exactly sure what the experience would be like. If you're in the area, this is a beautiful place to visit, sit and enjoy wine and snacks for a while and soak in the calming environment.

Nice quaint family feel winery. All staff were very nice and friendly (Sarah you were great)! Best wine options I have experienced for a selection of sweet wines so this time of year was great for those options. Spiced Apple is a hit. Room is available for big groups or table or bar seating for smaller groups. Offers outside seating as well as a Bed and Breakfast.

Our family was on vacation in Chicago, so my husband and I decided to visit some nearby wineries, starting with Lynfred. The building is gorgeous, and the staff is helpful and friendly. We decided to do a three-wine tasting each. I sampled the Viognier 2020, Sparkling Peach, and Red Sangria. I loved the Viognoir and ended up purchasing that and a bottle of the Riesling. The building is gorgeous, so I highly recommend that you take the time to walk around and take some photos. My only complaint about our visit is that the tasting menu is so limited. I wish that the Vignoles, Riesling, and some others were included. That being said we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return in the future. I highly recommend that you stop in to give their wines a try. Whether you have a palate for dry wines, sweet or semi-sweet, Lynfred has an enjoyable selection just for you. Cheers!

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon for a glass of wine. Super cute decor almost makes you feel like you're in Napa! I had a glass of the Pinot noir, it was light but full of flavor. They do not have a huge list for wines by the glass. Only certain wines are available. They do have a huge selection for purchase by the bottle. We ordered at the bar and sat inside. Our wine server was super nice and provided a plethora of information on the wines. Would definitely return.

Lori and George, the Innkeepers are very nice. The Inn is so fun. This is where Bill Murray's character in the movie stayed and the front looks exactly as it did in the movie. Lori gave us a map of the spots in town with marker's of sites from the movie, so we did that for a half day. The inn has a dining room where breakfast is served, there is the parlor with chairs for reading, or a sofa for watch Groundhog Day on the big screen. There is a small breakfast room with a refrigerator, coffee maker and snacks for the guests. There is one guest room downstairs and the others are located on the second floor. They even have a small gift shop area, where Mr. Bee bought a replica clock from the movie, it is permanently set to 6:00 am and the button on the top plays a portion of the radio show it played in the movie. We stayed in the Black Walnut Suite and it was extremely clean, and comfortable with 3 large windows that looked out over the front yard and the street just like in the film. Breakfast was good and plentiful. One morning we were the only guests so I told Lori the night before to take a day off and we would enjoy breakfast in the town square. I can't say enough great things about our stay. The front porch is awesome and fun to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine. The gardens and koi pond around the house are also stunning and beautifully lit in the evenings. There is parking off to the side of the driveway which is really convenient, or street parking. You can also easily walk into the town square from the Inn. We highly recommend checking out The Cherry Tree Inn for a fun weekend or even mid-week stay.

Worst Hotel stay I have ever experienced. Priceline made it worse by - Misrepresented amenities:The listing advertised amenities that simply weren't available or accessible during our stay. What we booked and what we received were two different things. No out door pool, no golf privileges, no spa steam room, no free WiFi... the list goes on. Undisclosed resort fees: On top of the room rate, we were hit with resort fees that were not made clear at the time of booking. That kind of pricing bait-and-switch shouldn't be allowed on a platform that claims to offer transparent pricing. No running water: During the stay, the room had no running water for an entire day-a basic functioning requirement, not a minor inconvenience. The carpet was dirty, lights and doors were damaged and so was the lamps in the room. The balcony was falling apart and debris was all over the floor. Hazardous accessible room: We had specifically booked an accessible room. The bathtub in that room was unsafe and not actually equipped properly for accessible use. The grout was worn and I fell as a direct result and sustained an injury. Hotel staff deflected responsibility: When I raised these issues directly with hotel staff during the stay, they offered no resolution and instead directed me to take my complaints to Priceline -- even though the hazardous conditions and injury happened on-site, at the property they operate. Failed customer service from Priceline: I then called Priceline multiple times trying to get this resolved. Every call went nowhere no accountability, no real solution offered, and no urgency shown despite the fact that a guest was injured at a property they booked us into. Escalation with no resolution: I've since had to send a formal escalation to Priceline's executive customer service team. And I have called 7 times. No follow up and all emails provided were wrong. As of now, I'm preparing a credit card chargeback, and Better Business Bureau complaint. Neither of these hotel offered a partial refund. Priceline has completely dismissed me entirely.
