This review is based on my son who was looking for a gym. He's only 15 but we also had another adult who joined the gym with him. Both said this place was a hidden gem. This place is clean and had early morning hours and had the right equipment that was needed for us - it's better than what they had at the courtyard. We bought a $35 weekly pass and it was perfect for our week in Cooperstown ASV. I am not sure if this review is for foxcare of the Y specialty gym which is part of ymca. My son did say there were some people were more about tapping really loud than lifting weights, but who cares tbh. read more

I was on Vacation in Oneonta New York and did not want to get out of my workout routine. So I yelped workout places and found this gym right away. I got a weeks pass for 30$ which I feel is pretty affordable. The gym has up to date equipment and the workout area was very clean. The only equipment they were missing was kettle balls. They also have a trainer on hand if you have any questions about any of the machines. This gym also has a pool and workout classes. I would come here again. The staff was extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome. The only negative is the bathrooms were nasty. The toilet seats needed to be replaced. I know this gym is not cheap so I know FOXCARE can afford it. read more

Great facility. I love the pool, hot tub, studio rooms, and cardio equipment area. I only have a few things that could use improvement. 1. No childcare (anymore) 2. Not too many kettle bells 3. The gym could use some more unconventional exercise equipment (salmon ladder, climbing/bouldering/traverse wall) 4. Sauna is an old sauna, the new infrared saunas are proven to be more health beneficial. 5. Free weight area is small All in all this place is great but it could be better by being more flexible. read more

It's a clean facility. The nurses at the cardio rehab side are fantastic, just be prepared to be ignored at the reception desk until they are ready to acknowledge your existence. The equipment is ok, but be prepared to watch pieces just sit there for months with "out of order" signs on them. The pool looks nice, but it's closed for the time being. All in all, I find it hard to justify the $120 a session price they charge for the cardio rehab. You can't even use the changing rooms, so your jacket and stuff get put in a corner on the floor. If you are interested in the cardio rehab program you might want to check out another place. If you are interested in joining the regular gym, know that they never miss a chance to monetize your experience. Wether it's the fitness classes, or towels, or the exorbitant "Initiation" fee, expect to pay over and above your monthly membership. All in all, it's a pretty shabby place after you get past the nice paint job. There are nicer places with nicer equipment and nicer people in town. read more

Good gym. Competitively priced. This place has everything you need - treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, hand bikes, rowing machines, various weight machines, free weights, a pool, a hot tub, and a couple of studios in case you want to do some stretching or functional training. The staff is friendly and professional. The place is clean. It's about all you could ask for in a gym. I'm moving away very soon, and I'm going to miss this place a lot. read more
