We arrived Sat 01-Nov. It was not easy finding the registration office for Foxhunt. The registration office is on Sapphaire property. The rentals are a mile down the road. We were in Building number #6 unit 1561. The units are three levels. Upper level is living area. 2nd level is a bathroom and bedroom with a single and queen bed. Closet with vacuum cleaner and broom and dust pan. Table stand with lamp. The bottom level is the master bedroom. Deck off the bedroom. Bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, toilet, and sink. The Heating process was ok for main living space. But was weak for 2nd floor area did not heat well. The master the same but there was a space heater in the wall. The fireplace worked nicely. Wood can be gotten from Ingles store. There is starter wood also. I did pick up wmy first wood buy from hardware store ain cashiernd starter would. Wood bundle was 8.99 and at Ingles is 7.99. There is nothing to store ashes. Ingles is the place to shop but not inexpensive similar to Busches or Publiexs. TV location is across the room from sitting area. The reason is the location power outlet and cable connection. There are DVD players available. At this time of year somethings are closed. Farmer Market was closed and the restaurant on Sapphire. There are restaurants close by. We did not eat out but chose to buy from Ingles. Eat at unit. We went to White water falls. Sapphire which is mile down the road is where rec center. The gym is very well setup. One thing to note one needs to drive to things. If you want to walk the topography has elevation. So know that situation. If one wants a quiet place and nice environment this is the place I would recommend this place. We were satisfied with our experience. The reason for a 4 is our experience with finding registration and the toilet kept running. I called office for more trash bags and how to handle ashes. Left a message but no returned call. If the items noted did not happen would have given a 5 start. read more

I made reservations via Capitol Vacations, a deposit was withdrawn from my account without prior notice, as I was told the full amount would be due at check in. I called who I thought was Capitol Vacations, as the phone number on my "itinerary" was listed underneath "centralreonline@capitolvacations.com However, it was the phone number for Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley. I had the unfortunate pleasure of speaking with "Chrissy" (couldn't quite understand her), and she was very impolite and implied I was not telling the truth as they ONLY charge the full amount at check in. Really?! Like I don't have better things to do except make up charges for a reservation and spend time finding their phone number calling etc! Although I was not happy about the unexpected (and really unauthorized) charge, nor the unprofessional person answering Foxhunt's calls, I choose to overlook it and keep my reservations. Reservations are - were - July 11-17, 2026. Today, July 3rd, Chrissy (?) called and informed me my reservations were CANCELED. I could not believe a week prior to the date of the reservations this "resort" cancelled and had the audacity to rudely explain it was due to "maintenance ". I was not offered an alternative, worse no apology was offered and instead I was talked to like I did something wrong!! That person, "Chrissy", was condescending, rude, unapologetic, and disrespectful! Also, she informed me I could take it up with her supervisor- who won't be back until Monday! So, do yourself a favor and bypass considering a vacation at this place. Unless you enjoy dealing with unnecessary treatment and behavior and having your vacation plans ruined. By the way, imagine having to tell my 10-year old nephew, guess what buddy? No vacation in the mountains this time! Nice. Y'all are heartless Foxhunt! Heartless AND unprofessional! Finally!! THANK YOU, FOXHUNT OF SAPPHIRE!! Since you canceled at the last minute; have extremely rude, nasty, hateful, unprofessional employees; the fact that "Chrissy" was just as nasty to the Capitol Travel representative (yes, I was told she experienced the same treatment as I received!!); I am grateful to NOT be staying there and will be sure to warn others so they do not have to experience such rude and uncalled for treatment. cleanliness! Entered our cabin and the smell was awful. Smelled like burnt bacon or an old Denny's. We went out and bought candles and air freshener. We opened the doors to air it out. We couldn't sleep because the smell got worse with the heat on. We had to keep the door open to break up the smell. The place is dated and furniture worn out. The floors were filthy. Needless to say we left early and booked an alternate hotel for the remainder our trip. read more

Everything was nice. I enjoyed the fireplace, I put Duraflame which burned for hours. Unit temperature was nice. It's kind of 3 stories, or 2.5 stories. I closed all the vents and left the bottom ones open so the heat went from bottom to the top. It was perfect. But there is no grill at the units. There is 1 grill at the docks, 1 grill at the beach by the stream. And 1 grill where Rec center area is. The rec center is about 5 min drive back down the highway, pass where the main office is. It's not really walkable from where our unit was but I guess u can walk it if u really wanted to. Office was hard to find. Google took us to some other resort office. U have to look for Red bird golf links. When I searched for foxhunt, I got lost. The pool was big and nice. The water temp was good where I can jump in without feeling chills. Some reviewer I read said the pool was salted. However, when I was there, it was not salted. It was chlorine. The hot tub was clean and nice. The other hot tub wasn't working. And the sauna was really nice too, but it wasn't hot enough. I liked the showers and the fitness center. They have a Game Center for kids, arcades. The internet at the unit was very SLOW. It was unusable. The tvs were nice. The LG tv had a good sound. But the Samsung tv sound was low, but the picture was crystal clear. The hot tub at the bottom floor of the unit was awesome. I fell asleep in it. If u fill the entire tub w hot water. There is no more water so u have to use it appropriately to keep the hot tub hot. Nobody tried to sell us any timeshare anything. I've been coming to this area since I was 15, I'm nearly 50 so that gives you an idea how long that's been. They recently changed over to a new property management company named #Diamond and I'm not thrilled with them, but the property is still nice. My unit is near the PGA Rated Golf Course, which is great, if you play golf, however the rest of the amenities are about a mile away. It's a 2 story unit built in the early 80's that has seen no big upgrades since then. There's a large master bed with a giant jacuzzi tub (Big enough for 3 folks) and a separate shower on the bottom floor. The Washer and dryer stack are also down stairs in a closet at the foot of the stairs. On the first floor is the 2nd bedroom, the kitchen and the living area. The kitchen used to be fully equipped, but this year, it wasn't. I only had 2 coffee cups, 4 tea cups, plates for 6. The cooking equipment was sub par. They did provide coffee, salt & pepper but no soap for the dish washer as they have in the past. It was very confusing. The recreation center is lovely. There are pools that have all been recently converted to Salt Water vs chlorine, they have a community center a library and several eateries on site. In the way beyond time frame there were other things too. I've seen so many changes. One thing that hasn't changed is that they offer trips each week with the other folks vacationing there, for a charge. They're not cheap, but they may be easier than going on your own. Through them I've gone to the Blue Ridge Parkway and had lunch, I've gone to Sliding Rock and I've been to the Biltmore and explored. It's all been fun. The big detractor for me was how Hard Sell Diamond Resorts was. I arrived after 8 hours of travel and they wanted me to give them an hour of my time RIGHT THEN. No. Then they called first thing in the morning on my first morning there. NO. I told them I wasn't interested in participating. I was there to simply relax, I didn't want to participate in a group for a MC gift card. Or give them my thoughts. They didn't want to take No for an answer. I didn't want to go through another sales pitch for their other Timeshare properties. I find that revolting. Your milage may vary. read more

Amazing place to stay! We decided to search for a place in the mountains on the way from Charleston to Cincinnati and we hit a home run. The condo felt like home, we were so impressed. Endless outdoor activities close by, 10 minutes from town (including a grocery) and access to resort facilities. We will be back for sure. read more

The place has potential but the house keeping team was absent and/or poorly working. My family and I got there on Saturday: check in was at 3 pm , got there at 4 and the cabin was not ready. We received our cabin at 6:30 pm. I wish that was it, however when we got to the cabin. It looked dirty. Also, one of the rooms that was supposed to have 2 double beds did not. We tried to complain but the office closed at 7 pm and since the next day was Sunday , there was nothing that could be done. When Monday came , we went to office again and they said they would come and clean it and get us the extra towels we needed plus replace our coffee maker and fix toilet; no one came. Also they said that the 2 double beds was a typo (Expedia's fault). Needless to say we left our vacation early! We hope they get a better housekeeping team ; but I will not be returning! read more

This place offers a two bedroom villa with master on bottom floor, second bedroom on middle floor, and living room and full kitchen on top floor. The area is wooded and secluded and nice for relaxing. The downside is that the amenities and things to do are a drive away, not within walking distance. They do have golf courses close and the recreation center is nice. read more
