My favorite accessories in the room were the chairs for pedicures. They were comfy armchairs rather than your normal sticky salon chairs. Adding to the warm atmosphere were the staff members. They were easy to talk to and eager to help. I was bringing my best friend (who's pregnant!) to get pedicures. We had Jilly as our nail technician. I appreciated her care of details. She made sure our nails were perfect, and did what she needed to do to make our nails truly sparkle. Unfortunately, the experience left me disappointed, and I ultimately decided not to book an appointment. From the beginning, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. The consultant I spoke with seemed to have an attitude toward both me and my partner, and throughout the consultation we felt like we were receiving dirty looks. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but the overall interaction made us feel unwelcome. I was also surprised by the recommendation to color my hair first and cut nearly half of it off afterward. I specifically asked whether the cut could be done beforehand to avoid using and paying for dye on hair that was going to be removed, but I was told no. Given how much hair I wanted taken off, this didn't make sense to me and ultimately resulted in a price that I felt was unnecessarily high. I was excited to try a new stylist, so it was disappointing to leave feeling uncomfortable and like I wasn't being listened to. I completely understand that salons have their own processes and pricing, but I also believe clients should feel comfortable asking questions and discussing options without feeling judged. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this salon.
