Frame Fetish is the BEST framing shop in the world. Dave Link is a master at cutting the most imaginative mats that enhance your art work more than any other framer I have come across. He is a true craftsman. He is unique. I first came across Frame Fetish when searching the Internet for Mark Ryden art and his website had pictures of a few Rydens he had masterfully framed. I was hooked and have never looked back. A few times a year I send him things to frame (including some Rydens). Link has framed at least 20 art pieces for me over the last 5 years or so and I am always amazed at the quality of his work. He really is a genius. The prices are VERY reasonable, enough that it is worth shipping art work to him from San Francisco for him to frame and ship back. In San Francisco I would have to pay a few hundred dollars more per piece and NOT have the same masterful and creative work. I have filled my 3 story house and my office with art he has framed, all very impressive and fun. I cannot say enough great things about this guy, he deserves 10 stars. I met him once a few years ago when I decided to drive to Costa Mesa to pick up the framed art before Link had figured out a good shipping method for large pieces to S.F. He was so kind and even bought me a gift certificate to a great Italian restaurant in Costa Mesa. It was very generous and I really appreciated it. Absolutely stunning. Commissioned my first job with Link a little less than a year ago after seeing some of his previous work in a Facebook group. He's the only person I plan to send anything to in the future (despite living on the complete opposite side of the U.S.). He is a true visionary and fantastic to work with. BEST. FRAMING. EVER. Seriously. There is no reason NOT to get your framing done here. His work is truly original and ALWAYS complimentary to the artwork. I've had Link work on SEVERAL pieces of mine and I would never take anything anywhere else. I have three of his pieces in my home and am CONSTANTLY receiving compliments on them. Link is also extremely affordable. Yes framing is expensive, but for virtually the same price you'd pay to have some art-school-college-kid slap together your print, you can have Link turn it into a work of art. I've had Link frame mostly music prints, but I'm thinking of having him frame some menus of favorite meal spots for my kitchen as well as some personal photos. Honestly, if you have a piece of art, poster, or anything REALLY extra special and you are looking to have it framed in ANY other way than every boring frame shop out there does...then FRAME FETISH is the place for you. Link is a friggin' artist, man and he can turn your crappy poster into a masterpiece. Link can make your killer original even BETTER, seriously. The dude works wonders. How many times have you paid out the NOSE for a boring ass frame job...and it's not even what you really wanted? I have WAY too many times. Link did awsome work for me and my fiance on an older Oingo Boingo concert flyer and a KXLU Fundrazor 97 poster. The work was amazing, quick, and Link came up with great themes for both. His Deluxe framing is where it's at. My boyfriend and I picked up some paintings from a street vendor in Montreal during a recent vacaton. After seeing samples of Link's work on the Frame Fetish website, we decided to give him a call. Not only was Link fun to talk to and obviously very talented, but he was also very professional. He completed our project a week earlier than promised. His choices on the frame and the mattes completely enhanced our pieces and really gave them a unique, finished look. I can't stress enough how good of an eye Link has. Our pieces already had a lot going on in them and I was a little hesitant to add more color and busy-ness (not sure if that's a word) to them. But his color choices complemented them so well that I now can not imagine them being framed in any other way.
