Ordered 2 Untitled Table and Wall Lamp Nemo Ark on Nov 19 2025 with 4 to 8 week delivery. It is now…read more15 weeks and no sign of them. I ordered from the company because they're Canadian. I'd forgotten Canada's reputation for call centre penny mining stock scams and seniors frauds of 30 years ago. I see we're back at it in a different format. At 7 weeks I wrote asking where they were and was told the factory had closed for Christmas. I told them to cancel the order. They said they couldn't as they were in production. They just lied. Either the lamps had not started, they were being built, or had been built. If they were being built, they would not take more than a day to finish - they were just being retired for North American wiring. They were built which leads to the last option - they were built. if They were built or in production, it has taken 8 weeks to ship them from Europe to Toronto - and they still aren't here. I leave this weeks for 8 weeks and no one will be here to accept delivery. The Modern Shop says it's not their problem. customer Service just lies and says they're on their way. Dont believe them. The company is a scam or it's insolvent. They take your money and don't deliver. I'll be more careful and check Trust Pilot in the future before ordering again. DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE

Upon walking in, it's just a lot. Where do I go? What do I look at first? There are a lot of products thrown at you at once. I guess you can say, they really do take advantage of every square meter in the store. The store is hard to navigate, and trying to get down the aisle are tight. They do have some cool products, but the prices are not as competitive as they used to be. A regular priced product I was looking at last month is now $10 more now. I do appreciate that they sell items dedicated to smaller spaces, I just don't think the quality is there for a lot of their items after getting a closer look at them in store.

I tried on the few occasions to get someone to help me but since there was only what seem to be 3 staff I could only wait. The line at the cash was getting longer and longer and I didn't feel like even after 45 minutes I would be able to get any help. I am usually very patient but I felt like I was in the way of people who just wanted to come out. So after that 45 minutes I simply walked out with no mirror. I don't know if the price will change but there will be a better day. Jysk is a great store to get furniture at a good price. Today was probably just one of those days.

The store is bright, large and spacious. Staff are nice. Not my kind of store personally, but I can see the appeal and I like that they are a Canadian company. This Urban Barn is relatively new. It's in the Ottawa Trainyards, but the newer section where Nordstrom Rack, Figaro Coffee and Healthy Planet are. This Urban Barn seems much more fancy and upscale than the one I'd usually go to in Stittsville. I really like the displays. I find the prices a bit on the higher side for furniture, but more affordable for things like decorative bowls, pillows, picture frames, etc. Staff are nice and it's a fun place to browse, even if just to go for decorating ideas ;) Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.

Some of the Homesense/Winners/Marshals stores get a little chaotic after the shoppers have had time to go through everything and shuffle the clearance items around, but the staff at this store seem to be working really hard to keep this location spiffy. This shopping area of Stittsville has been really well planned out - the parking lots are well organized, there is a good use of roundabouts to separate the areas and help to prevent that "I Got Here First" Stop-Sign issue, and the assortment of stores is very useful.
