Nancy Johnson NP is great. Unfortunately, the cons out weigh how nice Nancy Johnson is. This practice is very out of date- you are not able to pay bills online, there is no patient portal, no reminder emails. If you get a bill you can only send checks no online bill paying. The office staff is disrespectful and not empathetic. The actual office hours do not match what is listed on the building or online. They have a 2 hour break in the day and when I went to get blood drawn the phlebotomist had her head down and looked like she was sleeping at her desk. I felt like I was disturbing her but I was just getting required blood drawn requested by the doctor. read more

Don't waste your time here. They sent me another patient's lab results, which is obviously illegal. I begged them for a referral to a specialist, they finally sent me one (after sending me someone else's lab results), but it was an invalid referral. After bringing this issue up with them multiple times, I still haven't gotten a response. I have to find a new PCP who will take my concerns seriously. They're not very technologically advanced. One time I called to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone said she was unable to make an appointment because the "doctors just got back from lunch" and told me to call again later. I called again later and she said she still was unable to make an appointment, she didn't give a reason that time and instead gave me an email address to contact. I am unsure why this receptionist can't make appointments on her own. Emailing them is equally as bad as calling them. Every experience I have had here has been a waste of time. Hopefully I can find a new PCP who can refer me to the specialist I need to see because clearly Nancy Johnson can't do it and her people at the front desk can't help. I'm very pleased with service and care from Dr. George Silis and the staff. I've always been able to reach someone to answer questions or schedule emergency appointments. When the Dr. is not available the nurse practitioner was available with excellent treatment and care. read more

It doesn't matter the quality of the Doctors in the practice if the administrative functions are in disarray. We are continuing to be bill for a $20 copay that was pay by check months ago. They claim not to have fax number or email address to send payment documentation. They will only accept USPS mail communication. Months ago my husband printed the copy of the cleared check and hand carried to the office and yet we are still being bill for the same copay. I just followed up and was told all I could do was mail the proof of payment to the office. How does a professional office in the 2023 get away with this? read more

I switched providers and am convinced that I made a terrible mistake. This office is very hard to reach and I have yet to complete something as simple as a prescription refill without extra difficulty. When I transferred to their practice I asked specifically about a couple of prescriptions. They told me it would be no problem and that they would refill whatever the pharmacy sent the refill request for. They did not, and forced me to make an office visit while also causing me to go without medication for over a week. I'm disappointed because another doctor referred me to this practice. read more

Dr George Peter Silis is knowledgeable, thorough, gentle, soft spoken and a joy to be with. He takes time to ask questions and listens carefully to the answers. If you have to wait for him, it's because he's giving other people the same level of care he'll give you. He and his brother do not spend time and money on appearances. The lobby is not spiffy and new. Don't be deceived by appearances. He was voted one of the area's Top Doctors in 2015 for good reason. I really like Dr. George Silis and nurse practitioner Nancy Johnson; however, trying to get prescriptions refilled has taken as long as two weeks on multiple occasions and the practice isn't willing to give more than one script at a time. I've never been successful at asking the pharmacy to request a Rx and get a response. The office hours are not great, two plus hour lunch, multiple occasions when the phones are answered by a service rather than the receptionist, not being able to get through to make appointments, and often times the office closing early on Fridays. The last few communications had to be via email. I finally made the decision to leave the practice, because the customer service is not great read more

I highly Dr. George Silis for your medical needs!! I was referred to him after my fall in 2018 and I've been very pleased. If you don't know, I'm particular about who touches me and where!! Dr. Silis is excellent. Very polite. Very good bedside manner. He explains everything before he does it and further explains why he is doing it. I like that. I'm not here to be practiced on....well, not too much. His office staff is very professional. They have a routine, which I like. They bill me appropriately and there's never been a problem with insurance and co-payment. For those who know me, we have not had a "Medical Mary" incident. She was shook!! Now back to the review. The office is clean. The check-in and check-out is efficient. They call me at least once, sometimes twice before my appointment to remind me so that I can be there on time. With the virus, now we have to call when we arrive so that our safety is ensured. I like that. I have no complaints and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Franconia Internists and Dr. George Silis!! Horribly unprofessional, if I could give zero start I would. I went in and stood at the window for 7 minutes before anyone would help me (even though all 3 "office staff" were aware I was there). The receptionist was not at her desk and the "office manager" was taking selfies in the background. Finally when I was helped one of these "office staff" dropped her cell phone on the desk in front of the girl I was speaking to and said someone wanted to talk to her, she promptly picks up the phone and leaves me standing there?? I was told to "have a seat and we will call you back up when we need you". I guess the doctors are good but the clowns running this 3 ring circus behind the desk are a total joke!! read more

I recently changed insurances and had to get a new primary doctor. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. George Silis at Franconia Internists (it was several weeks before he could see me). Two days before the appointment his receptionist called and cancelled the appointment. I made a second appointment (again the appointment was several weeks out). I arrived at the appointment early and had all my new patient paperwork ready. After sitting in the waiting room over an hour past my scheduled appointment time, I notified the receptionist that I could not longer wait. I will not reschedule. Any doctor who is that inconsiderate of his patients is only looking after his best interests. I would not trust him as my doctor. In addition, the reception area smelled of urine. read more

I was having symptoms but I didn't know quite what was wrong with me and needed to have some tests and a doctor diagnose me with something specific. I called around to see where I could get an appointment right away and Franconia Internists could take me right away. I saw Nancy Johnson, who is either the PA or Nurse Practitioner. After my first round of tests came back and didn't show anything, I (not Nancy) was the one who had to insist that we do more tests to continue to try and find out what was wrong. Then I was the one (not Nancy) who went online and researched all my test result numbers to see the proper ranges were. When I thought I found a test number that was in the low range and might be the problem, I went and sat in the waiting room for AN HOUR to ask her about it. When I showed it to her and asked her if that could possible be the issue, she said "I don't know, you would have to see a specialist about that" and then walked away (didn't refer me to a specialist or tell me what kind of a specialist I needed, by the way). In my opinion, a doctor should continue to work with you until you find out what is wrong, not just throw up their hands and say they don't know. read more

This place is a joke. Even if I have the first appointment of the day, my appointments never begin on time. The staff is a joke - I was scheduled for an appointment and showed up for it, only to have them tell me Nancy was on vacation and that they called to tell me that. I never received a call, and as a result missed some work for no reason. My biggest problem with Franconia Internsists is the company the use to handle their billing. In 2013 and 2014, they were not billing my insurance correctly, and I called multiple times to tell them to fix it. I was assured that the issue would be resolved. Late in 2015, I received a letter from the office that I had unpaid visits - of course, they never fixed whatever issue they were having while trying to bill my insurance, and instead were telling me I wasn't insured for the visits in question. This year, they sent my records to a collections agency. Calling the office manager at Franconia Internists was a waste of time, as she refused to do anything to try to help me and just told me to call the billing company. The manager of the billing company, Joyce, told me she would contact my insurance about the issue, but she never did. I called my insurance, and they told me that they never even received any claims for the dates of the visits in question! Because of this, now that my husband and I are trying to buy a house, our loan applications are being denied. Do NOT go to Franconia Internists under any circumstances - your visit will be longer than necessary and unfruitful, and you might end up dealing with a 3+ year nightmare because of the incompetency of their billing office. read more
