Telegraph Family Corner Medicine changed telemedicine appointment time twice which is incredibly destructive thing to do to an Autistic person. I cannot cope with changes in routine. Dr. Brian Carty staff was supposed to send me link to accessible telemedicine conference. Time of appointment came and went - and no link. I later discovered that Dr. Brian Carty CALLED me on my cell phone and left multiple voicemails. If I could communicate via telephone, I would not be requesting alternative communication, would I? I gave my email address to Telegraph Family Corner Medicine before so they should have had it. Telegraph Family Corner Medicine do not even have contact email on their website. Their website is 100% inaccessible to users of alternative communication. I cannot express how much I am hurt by this discrimination. I have coronavirus and am suffocating from it. For younger patients, he told me that he is still accepting insurance. They way it works for direct care, is that for Medicare patients you pay SignatureMD $1800 per year. Due to the crazy rules of Medicare you can't give him the money. They do. He also will bill your insurance-Medicare and secondary. With the direct care agreement, he will call you and/or text you the very same day. With the money conversation out of the way (isn't it sad that medical care is first about money, then also about care), I think that Dr. Zahalsky does a very good job. FIrst of all, I think he's smart and thinks things through. Second, he genuinely cares. Next, he will make sure that if you were to need to see a high quality specialist, he'll make sure that you obtain an appointment. There is not much more I can ask. The medical care system is broken. Everyone recognizes this. Everybody feels like a insignificant cog in a money system. Doctors and nurses all seem to be burned out. I chose to spend some money so that Dr. Z can afford to spend some time with me-I had a full one hour appointment. I was able to ask each and every one of my questions and have them answered. Paying $1800/yr is not something that everyone can afford. I know that. But if you can pony up the dough, I think it's worth it.

This one I am glad to report is one of the good ones. Basically everybody that works there is great from the front desk Michelle who is helpful and relatable. The medical assistant Katie made me feel comfortable let me ask my questions and instruct me on what I needed to know. Then I met Dr. G who went above and beyond to let me know how serious my various conditions were that I had and gave me a practical but tactical plan to intelligently work to stop and potentially reverse each one. I had a number of side problems that I thought were unrelated to my core issue and he patiently thoroughly explained how they were all related and how it would progress to something much worse potentially something that could really ruin my life. I ask a lot of questions the doctors which I'm sure annoys them, but due to having some weird stuff I felt let down by so many. I have educated myself deeply on my own health issues but of course I am biased and have blind spots. The fact that I went to an urgent care to take care of a foot but that I was able to be happily convinced to intervene now and work with him to take the necessary steps towards greater health is something I've never seen before. And I have yet to see Dr. Axl which I should be doing soon I already have great faith that he will follow in the same great care and quality. Talking to Dr. G he explained how not urgent care centers are the same and that there's different ways they can operate and that really showed me what a gem I have stumbled upon. They have a primary care doctor there which is amazing so now I can switch my doctor there and make appointments for that or walk-ins. Now I don't know how expensive this is for everyone everyone has their own concerns with how that all breaks down. But Dr. G was very thorough with me in helping me even to understand to make it work which I've never seen before at any of the doctors I've been to. He did a thorough work up on me getting the bulk of test done today which I now have a series of follow ups that I can do and I know that I'm on the right track now. For anyone reading this I know that we all have different issues different concerns it's really hard to find a good doctor if you don't have one already and I suggest if you live in this area and you need an urgent care try this one out make sure, make sure you're clear on everything, as we know you can get surprises but the office is transparent and upfront as this, that delivers such quality as well as offering a multitude of services not seen by most urgent care centers, I think Xcel Urgent Care is a great add to Falls Church and is worth a visit if you're considering it,

I took an appointment at his travel clinic, but they quoted me $900-$1000, so I decided to return to the urgent care office since it was more affordable and we already had an agreed price. When the doctor saw me, he said: "You will pay $900 either here or there," implying that the decision was his, not mine. Honestly, the staff were very kind and cooperative, but this doctor's attitude was unprofessional, especially since there was already a price agreement at this clinic. When a patient is paying out of pocket, the final decision should always be the patient's, based on their budget and comfort -- not pressured into a more expensive option. My insurance does not call for deductible but when asked the office staff all said that both fees have to be paid and had the most rude attitude. Only after the insurance company confirmed that only copay was required they still didn't want to refund the deductible. Having to deal with incompetent, rude and mean staff in addition to the stress of it while you're on a visit to the doctor to get better is not the experience anyone should have.
