This place is family owned and operated for generations, so customer service is outstanding. The quality of the carpet and the broad selection at Riemer is second to none. We have tried shopping at Lowe's, Home Depot, Costco, empire, etc. and the quality and selection (and value for the money) is just not there. Ps karistan is the best brand of carpet, in my opinion. It's beautiful, it's soft and it holds up well with regular cleaning (modernistic). We had an off-white carpet for 17 years with children and pets and other than a few spots, it's still pretty amazing. lastly: great value for the money. They have good sales. A tip: consider going for a mid grade carpet in the highest grade padding! Unless all you care about is truly lowest price, you will be very very happy with Riemer floors.

Bought second floor carpeting after living with Karastan for over 30 years with no problems, just…read moreneeded a change in color. The nightmare begins, during COVID time frame carpet laid turned out to be from different color lots, manufacturers agreed to replacement. The second carpet was laid with a "shear" defect, that is a grove cit into the middle of carpet that looks like a one inch racing stripe. I asked how can this happen, didn't anybody at Reimer look at the carpet rolls prior to installation ? I guess not. Reimer offered a "settlement" which I foolishly accepted because being near 70 years old, I couldn't move all the furniture on the second floor for the third time. The problems soon started with the second carpet, ripples started to appear. it seems going forward , Riemer was going to charge to come out and look at ($75) the ripples and than charge for the repair. They have been out at least three times for ripples and over $500 dollars to take care of this issue. It seems to be a great profit stream because it was poor installation from I read on Google. just to add to this, areas that they had to de ripple, seem to be holding. but now the ripples are going to new areas . I feel like ripping out the mess and starting over with another merchant, I can't believe it's worth the money to have a endless cycle of restretching. Truely don't know what to do.

Joe suggested we rip up a corner somewhere to peak at what was underneath and we stumbled upon BEAUTIFUL real hardwood floors underneath. My grandparents had the carpet in the townhouse since before they bought the place over 40 years ago so Joe suggested we refinish them and stain them. He was very thorough in walking me through every step of the process as well as giving me his expert advice on which stain to choose and how to care for these beautiful floors. When it came time to stain the floors he gave me about 6 stains to choose from with his input, and ultimately went with the stain I chose. I'm very very happy with all the hard work he's put in and how the floors have turned out. His team did a great job and I didn't feel taken advantage of, or dumb for asking questions. 10/10 highly recommend

Not only was their workmanship impeccable but they stood behind their work well beyond the warranty period. The original finished bathroom was completed in late 2016. The one issue discovered after the warranty period passed was a cracked tile in the shower resulting in some minimal water damage. Six plus years after the completion of the master bathroom Borchert arranged for a contractor to effect repairs additionally providing a reimbursement check for over half the cost of expenses. How many contractors would backup their work six plus years after the completion of their project. Borchert is the only one I know of. Easy and pleasant working with Jordan and Ron at Borchert. Without hesitation I highly recommend Borchert for kitchen or bathroom remodeling.
