I cannot say enough amazing things about Joint Pro Physical Therapy in Frankfort. After suffering…read morean MCL sprain, I struggled for months to walk normally and with no pain. I had always been someone who loved hiking daily, riding my bike, and staying active, but over the past year I had to give up so many things I loved because of the pain and limitations. When my doctor finally referred me to physical therapy, I honestly wasn't sure it would work. But I committed to the process -- I went three times a week for a little over two months and followed all of my home exercises -- and the results have been life-changing. I saw my doctor yesterday, and she was amazed by my improvement. I can now ride my bike for an hour, walk for over an hour, and I'm reaching my goal of 10,000 steps a day on top of my bike rides! I still remember when a five-minute walk was painful, so being able to do the things I love again feels like a miracle. I have to give a very special thank you to Kim, who answered my first phone call and immediately showed the genuine care and compassion that sets this place apart. Her customer service and kindness made such an impression. I also want to thank my amazing therapists Josh, Angie, Joe, Colleen, Rae, and everyone else who helped me along the way (I apologize if I missed anyone or misspelled a name!). The entire team at Joint Pro is truly heaven-sent. I'm emotional just thinking about the difference they made in my life. When you can't walk without pain, you realize how much you take for granted -- and this team helped give me my freedom back. As a nurse myself, I always thought "nurses rock" , but I now have a whole new level of love and respect for physical therapists and the incredible impact they have on people's lives. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I will forever be grateful for what you've done for me!

As I improved, they gradually increased and revised the exercises given to strengthen my injury. I was pushed hard in therapy but also scaled back gently when needed. Scott Racz, Taylor Villa, Katie Semlow, Natalie Willis, Jon Rodriguez, and Jake treated me with respect, concern, and care throughout my entire time there. My injury was so bad that each of them had worked on me at some point due to the number of continued sessions that my doctor prescribed in conjunction with my availability and they were all great! This team went over and beyond protocol to help in the healing process for my severely broken ankle. The new hires there kept up the high level of professionalism when they were needed to fill-in as well. This facility constantly cleaned their equipment before and after exercises, kept clean towels available, and catered to my needs. My recovery vastly improved due to their program so I HIGHLY recommend this Athletico location for physical therapy! There was not a bad personality in the bunch. They treated me so well that I almost want to break something again so that I can return. Lol.. but seriously, I couldn't have rehabilitated my injury at a better place. Thanks to them, I feel so much better now. ~ Maurice ~

Mental health counselling…read more I had a not so good experience with this company last year. I really liked the counselor a lot. I asked her to read a story that I had written about mostly my life from 2021 to 2024. I thought it would help explain the way I communicate to certain people. I don't think she read it. So, I was talking about an email I sent to somebody, and all of a sudden, she became very judgmental to the point that I ended the session and never went back. I was trying to get away from being judged without knowledge of what might have made my email a little stronger than it needed to be. In plain English, I was really tired of being wrong all of the time. I filed for a divorce after 47 1/2 years of marriage partly because of that. Fast forward, a couple of weeks ago. I decided to try to do therapy at this company once more, because I had been going through a very difficult time in my life since late December. The intake form was clearly designed for physical therapy, and that was pretty frustrating. For instance, it asked me what part of my body needed physical therapy. It would not let me advance to the next page until I finally check the "head" box. Well, I finally agreed to a therapist, and a time. When I first talked to the therapist, I tried to explain what had happened last year. I pretty much begged her to please read my "story". I offered for her to read it on my time. She was having no part of it. I explained to her that I have finally healed with a lot of what was in that story, and I saw no reason for me to relive it. Some of it was very dark, and it took an awful lot of work to get past it. I won't elaborate in this, but suffice it to say, it was the darkest days of my 74 years. I knew it had happened but had absolutely no desire to revisit it. Well, we did it the way she demanded, and it affected me just the way I thought that it might. I emailed her how it made me feel, and I received a "canned email" back telling me that if I was having psychological issues call 988, and if I was having medical issues call 911. Gee thanks! Fast forward to yesterday (Monday April 20) I had made an appointment for 1PM Monday, and I simply got confused about it, and thought it was at 2PM like most all my appointments are due to my having trouble sleeping. I was sent two emails between 1PM and 1:20 PM, although I was nowhere my computer. I admitted it was my "bad". But after thinking about i was wondering why, that in that 20 minutes she couldn't have called the office and have them check up on me. I very much believe in the golden rule, and I can say without any reservation, that is what I would have done. I would have done that with anybody, not just a 75 year old man with very limited mobility. I am beginning to understand now why the about the only thing this country leads in now, is record debt, and minimal common sense.

I told Alex remove the appointments, my insurance is ending 12/31. Today I am seeing ATI charged me for a $25 co-pay on 1/3. I got billed 12/31 for my very last appointment. Why am I getting charged a co-pay when I wasn't there to receive any services? Those responsible for administration were also slow in getting progress reports to my doctor. I had to bring this up two or three times. If I were rating care quality alone, I would say 4.5 stars. I want my $25 refunded and there needs to be no more charges on my credit card for services that were not provided.

The PT assigned to me was named Jake. While I did see two other therapists at this location who showed more compassion, I apparently drew the short straw this time. Jake frequently uttered one-word questions and phrases to me, he was extremely inattentive, and he never offered up so much as a smile when I came to see him. In fact, he seemed much more interested in flirting with the young PT assistant than he did paying attention to his patients. To top it off, the therapy he prescribed wasn't very helpful, and I ended up going to a different PT clinic to resolve my physical impairments. It's entirely possible that ATI is a fine organization, but they definitely hired the wrong professional at this location. Jake has no business being in the career of helping others with physical pain.
