Club La-Con has had great food for a long time…read more Must emphasize the Friday (all you can eat fish fry) is THE BEST I've ever consumed. ( It would appear they use a fried chicken batter on the fish - GENIUS ! - as I'm not a big fan of beer batter - but do love corn meal or better yet cracker meal) Pair that with the homemade Corn Fritters (again, the best you ever had) and It's a feast you will never forget.

NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY First, let me tell you…read morethat I hadn't been to this establishment since I was a teenager. It was Saturday evening at 5:20pm, and we walked in and should have turned back since there were only 3 cars in the parking lot. We walked into the restaurant with looks of an old rundown, out of date food restaurant. We waited a short time for a table, even though there were probably 12 tables free out of 15. Not many were there, and it was around 5:20pm. One group of about 10 people and another elderly couple were in the dining room. We were seated and given a menu. We asked if the tenderloin was a true tenderloin or a pounded-out poark loin chop. She didn't know, nor did she go back and ask. Even though she said she said she was the one that made them. We placed our order. I received my salad and a slice of bread along with a corn fritter. We opted for an order of their home-made onion rings for an appetizer and the server asked if we would want ranch dressing. We both said, "YES". Believe me, they were nothing to write home about unless it's to let you know, they're not worth the money. The ranch dressing was extremely watery with hardly any flavor. Terribly tough onion rings and the crust was hard. My husband was having problems chewing them. Then came my 14 oz. Ribeye steak with a baked potato, and hubbies' "tenderloin sandwich" and fries. One look at the extremely thin sandwich, we both knew it was a loin chop. It had no flavor and was very dry. The fries that came with it were limp and cold in the middle. He told our server, and she said, "I'll tell her", now remember that comment. I also wanted a side of their raviolis so we could share. Big mistake, big big mistake. Neither one of us could take more than one bite and honestly, we thought they were old and even expired a week ago. Yes, they were that bad. Downright NASTY! Now for my steak. I ordered it rare to medium rare. I cut into it and it was more like medium well done and LOADED with black pepper. So much pepper it was burning my mouth. We let one of the servers know about it and she took it away and soon she brought back a rare - medium rare Ribeye. NO seasoning whatsoever. It had no taste at all and it was our guess that the cook/owner (I haven't a clue which) picked out the fattiest steak she could find. I bet I had cut more than 4 oz of uncooked fat off. It was terrible. Don't get me wrong, I love the fat on a Ribeye but nothing like that steak had. I didn't want to eat any more of it. I did eat my slice of bread and the corn fritter that came with my meal. Those two were the best tasting items of all. I brought my baked potato home and my small piece of Ribeye. Hubby brought his half of the tenderloin home and the uncooked fries. Our air fryer will take care of those cold soggy fries. All I can say is, NEVER AGAIN will we EVER be back. I was so very disappointed. It was nothing I/we expected. We told the server about the NASTY ravioli and her comment, "Nobody else complained about it and I will tell her about it". Like my husband said, no one in the place had it. We assumed she would have taken them off the bill, but NO. I even reminded her that we could not eat the raviolis as our server was ringing up our total. Nothing was taken off. The bill came to over $59 which we were charged $1 for the watery Ranch dressing that the server asked if we would like some for our onion rings. What a waste of good money, let alone our time and gas money to drive there and back home. Our advice for you is to run and don't look back. If I could have given them a big fat zero, I would have but Yelp didn't offer that rating.

They even list the farms where the ingrediants came from on the menu. When I arrived I had to use the washroom. Not only was it clean but it was stocked with cotton towels. I knew that this was a good omen of things to come. My husband and I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and the grass fed hamburger. This may have been the biggest and most pack grilled cheese I've ever had. The hamburger was good but the potatoes that came with it stole the show. Since the entrees were so good we were excited to try the desert. We ordered the homemade chocolate peanut bourbon pie. This had the consistency of a pecan pie and was very rich. Everything was great at Thyme Craft Kitchen. It comes highly recommended!
