We are trying to retrieve some unclaimed money from my dad who passed away. Ohio is requesting her social security number to be on the death certificate. Why would they not have the fact that a persons social security number doesn't get put on a certificate for 5 years? and why wouldn't it be on there in the first place? They aren't coming back to life. Then when I tried to get this done the agent hung up on me because I told her the county I am in wants me to pay for another certificate to get this done and I wanted a refund that I shouldn't have to pay for it twice. What is wrong with this picture?

I never thought I'd see myself giving a review to a government agency, but now that I think about…read moreit, it was a good experience. This location is not hard to find, off of S. Hamilton Road (and next to Rooster's, which is a good thing when you're finished), although parking isn't the greatest on a busy day. But that's not their fault, due to the property square footage. I entered, went to the front and entered some basic information on the electronic kiosk, then took a seat. For that place to be as heavy populated as it was, my wait was surprisingly short. To be honest, I though it was quite beautiful in there, seeing representation from so many countries, waiting to be serviced. The young lady at the window was very sweet (I have to admit, I expected someone with a very apathetic attitude) and shared a few laughs with me while she got me through the process (I had to get my social security card replaced). Plus points to the administration for implementing such an efficient system, although they almost lost a star because the security guard told me to turn my phone down (Hey, I'm watching a movie! lol), but kudos to him for doing his job. I thought it was down low enough. ;)

So you go through this multiple times a week. Very excruciating process to have to put your life on hold and be attached to a device just so someone can be rude towards you.

I came down here to get fingerprinted for a job. It was easy and painless. However, the parking is terrible -- no fault of their own, it's downtown. But there has been so much construction around and coupled with one way streets everywhere, it's hard to park and get to the building. The building has a very open concept but still fairly difficult to navigate. The people are fine -- not friendly but not rude -- they just do their jobs. If I have to get fingerprinted, I'd try to find a place more accessible.

After living in Columbus for about 8 years, I was finally summoned for jury duty, here at the…read moreFranklin County Municipal Court. I got a letter in the mail about a month in advance that included very detailed instructions, everything from how to get there and where to park, to what to wear and how much I'd get paid ($25 a day). When the day officially arrived, it was pretty easy to report. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. They've done really good work in regards to making the process as painless as possible. Everyone from security to the parking attendants made me feel like I was a VIP. Everyone knew I was there to fulfill my civic duty thanks to the badges we were asked to wear. A few other tidbits... The cafe was solid with a lot of food options and the view of the city up there was beautiful. I had no problem at all with the wifi and was able to get some work done while I was there. They kept the room we were in stocked with free water and coffee and played movies all day long. They even had guest speakers come in and talk to us about the court process. While I didn't end up getting selected to serve on a jury, it was really cool to see the inner workings of things. Whenever I get summoned again, I won't be as disgruntled about it now that I know what to expect.
