But then with complications with the portal/catheter placed in my spouse's body to get the dialysis process to work we had to go to a surgical center multiple times to get replaced. Then in June 2025 we had to go to Riverside hospital multiple times to place an alternative portal for dialysis in my spouse's body. Owners Dean & Aiesha Bonsu of Bolt Medical Transportation have come to our rescue in a BIG WAY to provide transportation for all these medical appts/sessions as early as 6 AM in the morning and many different times during the day. Their dedication for their handling of my spouse in their wheelchair each trip is SECOND TO NONE. Their attitude & care in this service is also SECOND TO NONE. We have no "backup plan" for a different service with a handicap accessible wheelchair vehicle so whether texting or calling Dean to arrange a pickup from home to a medical appt and/or contacting Dean for the different length of these appts is no problem to make us wait for an extended period of time. The return trips(I am talking about weekends only) have not been as good. One time we had to go out into the parking lot because the driver was laying down in the vehicle on his phone and didn't get the notice to pick us up. The second time there was a wreck (which I know can't be helped) and they were 30 min late pickup my dad. This caused some other issues for us. I would recommend you pay to have them wait for the return trip if it's a weekend since they are short staffed (their words not mine) on the weekends.

I explained the situation to the driver and he said it would be fine, that I would remain in the car until someone came out to pay. He even called me back to confirm that I explained the process to my dad which I confirmed that I did. When the driver pulled up and saw me, he immediately changed his mind, told me not to get in and refused the ride. I understand that it's not the usual policy to receive payment at the destination, but they had suggested the alternative way then completely flipped the script and with the attitude of someone who had been wronged. I can only speculate there's an anti-African American bias at play as we had spoke on the phone twice before his arrival and he had agreed to the alternative that he himself suggested. But upon seeing me immediately changed his mind. He was actually charging double of what it would normally cost. We were willing to pay it. He took the job and then upon seeing me became very abrasive argumentative and disrespectful. If you don't respect the population that you make money from, you don't deserve our money. I have had nothing but horrible experiences; yes more than one. First car that arrived, I could literally hear the car coming down the road. I had to ask myself, and this is 'reliable' transportation to/from medical services. Second time, the car was filthy ... yes, filthy dirty and smell, too! It smelled like a wet dog. The seats and window ledges were taped with duck tape. It certainly was an older vehicle, I'm guessing at least 12-15 years old. Third time, was the worst... and the last time! The driver arrived an hour late. The car was must as dirty and smell as the last one. In addition, the windshield was cracked, and the outside left rear car panel was off the car. It too, was an older vehicle. The driver drove erratically at times, and even drove down Neil Ave which was a restricted roadway that was barracked, with a gate due to festivities at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. I firmly told the driver to turn around "there's no outlet here". He insisted he would find a way, and drove erratically through the gate, by passing the gate. The gate guard ran out screaming... "turn around"!!! The driver insisted he could find another way out. At this point, he was cutting through parking lots weaving and with quick turns. I was literally freaked out at this point! He finally, after 20 minutes, drove back through the gate with a lead foot and preceded to drive down on the wrong side of the street for a block or two. He also talked on his phone and texted while driving. I insisted he put down his phone "NOW"! I was completely fearful of my safety! At this point, he was cussing out other drivers saying it was their fought, and continued to speed at 80 mph on 71 N while weaving in and out of traffic. Again, I can't stress enough.... Do not go with this cab service! Cars aren't properly maintained, and drivers throughly screened! Your safety could be in jeopardy!
