Dr. Yu, Brooke and Brandy are Truly AWESOME!!! The reason I bring my 9 yr old to Franklin Dental formerly known as Kool Smiles! They provided excellent customer service and went out of their way to make us feel comfotable! My appt was 01:08/20 I'll always return back as long as they keep them! The Best Dentist is Dr. Yu!!! Thank you again Brandy & Brooke! The only problem I had is with Kandice the front desk person. She was extremely rude. Each time I have came encountered her it's been a very negative vibe! Wish there was a zero star option. This review is largely because of the front office experience, specifically with Deborah. Our appointments were confirmed the day before (by Deborah), yet when we arrived we were told we weren't even on the schedule and had to be added. On top of that, our 8:00 AM appointments--the first appointments of the day--weren't even being taken back until around 8:15. They didn't pull ANY patients back until 8:15. Later, as I was signing forms for my son it became clear that the girl with the consents had no idea what procedures my kid was having. Glad I'm an ICU nurse and just so happened to not need her guidance or help knowing wtf was going on. Then, later still, I was getting my kids records from an EXTREMELY nice girl at the front desk while Deborah continued to be a nuisance to the workplace. Someone walked up asking to make a payment on some braces and Deborah was like you're gonna have to go over there. Then the people act "over there" were like "no... We're so sorry but Deborah will be checking you out ". Deborah had made an assumption that the dude was working specifically with one of the other staff. That's fine. Miscommunication happens all the time. However, Deborah then proceeded to gaslight the rest of the staff and state "I'm so sorry they keep throwing you around". She also had a very standoffish attitude and would not acknowledge that any of the staff were speaking to her or communicating with her at all. She requested information for the man checking out in another employee, looked it up and handed it to her and said "here's the information on that patient." she ignored that person and like five minutes later I told the dude who was still standing there waiting... To go sit down until she got the information. The other staff came back out and asked why the man was still waiting and tried to tell Deborah again that the information was sitting right next to her and Deborah continued to ignore her. I even tried to tell Deborah twice myself that the information was there. She was making that person wait for no reason at all. It was also sooooo clear the other staff are EXHAUSED dealing with deborrah's bs. Also. As it turns out. Deborah is the one who does the phone call calls to confirm appointments... Which makes so much sense why my appointment didn't exist when I got here. I've also brought foster kids here in the past whose appointments have been nonexistent. So this is not a new issue for today. I've been to Franklin dental many times. Every single time has been a miserable terrible experience. Today is the day that I actually post a review of the facility because I feel there is something they could do to fix the problem. They need to fire Deborah. Obviously. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!! I took my two daughters to this clinic and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our appointment was scheduled for 4:00 PM, and we were instructed to arrive 15 minutes early. We arrived at 3:45 PM as requested, yet we were not seen until 5:00 PM. However, I'm certain that if we had arrived even a few minutes after 4:00 PM, our appointment would have been canceled. To make matters worse, my daughter suffers from allergies. The staff told us they would not see her because of her allergies and requested a doctor's note. I provided the doctor's note, but then they told us it was too late and that they were about to close. After making us wait that long, that response was unacceptable. The staff was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the process. As a parent, I expect professionalism, clear communication, and basic courtesy -- especially at a children's dental office. Based on this experience, I will definitely be looking for another dentist. read more

Appointment was set to be at 9:15 , arrived 15 mins early 9am and they proceed to tell me they changed my appointment to 9:30 but will go ahead and check us in. It is now 10:10 and have not been seen. If we were a minute late they would cancel our appointment. read more

I don't understand all these negative reviews, as my experience was much different. Mrs. Cassondra who is the office manager first of all greeted me and my daughter and helped to explain the process. and made sure we where taking care of. The staff was friendly and my daughter felt more at east, the dental hygienist where professional and did an amazing job cleaning my daughter Ema teeth. Customer service is awful at this place. These people are so rude. Then they closed 12/13/2024 and didn't notify anyone but yet sat in the office and watched everyone stand outside and didn't even have the curiosity to come to the door and say we are closed. Then one of the ladies came to the door to look out the door (not to notify us of them closing but to look out at us) and when I tried to ask her a question she said "ok ok call back Monday" very unprofessional and rude. Absolutely terrible, the receptionist did not put my son's insurance information in and marked us down as self pay without telling me, when we got to the back an hour and a half later an assistant mentioned it to me and I said we wouldn't be here if I would've known that. We left and on the way out the assistant said "you must not be a very good mom if you're leaving just because you have to pay". I just got the statement and we have been charged for an oral exam, an x ray, and a teeth cleaning (none of which happened because we left). Only putting one star because I have to, they deserve none. read more

If I could give this place a 0. I WOULD. The staff is so rude and unprofessional. My son has a erupted tooth, and has waited 2 months to be seen. The day before his appointment they called and said they would not be able to see him for his dental work because he is due for a cleaning. So we would have to do a cleaning and reschedule his work. It's 9:56 and I still haven't been seen for my 9am appointment. No one even gave me new patient intake forms until 9:20. The attendants at the rest won't even look at me while they're talking. My son had crowns placed on his teeth and they both cracked. I tried to schedule a appointment with them but I guess they didn't have the time. Continued to notify them I had the email stating the appointment date but to this day , well you know the rest. A negative 5 stars is what I give them. read more

This place is one hot mess who treat their mostly Medicaid clients horrible. I took a friend who has no car to this place bec her daughter had been out of school all week with a toothache.. she came out 5 minutes later .. allegedly the X-ray machine was down. CMe back the very next day at the scheduled time ... same Gish darn thing. They clearly have zero respect for their customer's time. My friend even had an email confirming the appt. Surely, it wouldn't have been that difficult to call those with appts to reschedule! I'm advising my friend that if indeed there's an infection that she should sue your butts. I guarantee you that if this group of dentists had clients with good insurance they'd are more. Their behavior is disgraceful. Who knows, we may well contact the ADA. My daughter has been coming here for years and she really liked it until today when we found out that we had to get a doctors release because she has seizures which is no problem but the way they approached me after they put my 7 year old daughter through the pain of getting an x ray was very unprofessional!! If I could give this place zero stars I would because they don't even deserve one star. Today I went for my appointment to get my tooth pulled got there at 8:45 am my appointment time waited an hour for them to tell me they can't do it today because the Dr. Is only doing wisdom teeth today. I've been on antibiotics for over a week and missed work for this. Not to mention for the past 3 days I've gotten a text to remind me of my appointment so they had ample opportunity to call and inform me of this situation instead of wasting my time. This is a very ghetto dentist office, the receptionist is ghetto and this place is always overbooked. They cancel your appointments on the day of instead of given you a proper notice because they over book. Don't waste your tome or money because you will regret it. Trust me!! read more
