Finally someone came in & took me to Xray then i saw the dentist. We scheduled my return for next day. 30 mins before my appt the office called to reschedule for a week she said 11am 1st then said no 2:30 is better. I called this morning to confirm my 2:30 appt & was told it was at 11am. I go in and wait by noon i am in a room getting numbed up by 1pm 3 teeth are pulled. However one was Not supposed to be pulled, it was to be filled & used as an anchor tooth for partial denture on the bottom. He left tooth fragments!!! The broken tooth that hurts the most was IGNORED and left in my mouth!! Now i am jacked up and that tooth HURTS!!!! Would you return to a dentist who (1) pulled the wrong tooth & left fragments of it in your mouth? (2) left a broken tooth that hurts 24/7? His office still has not called me back with a solution.. I feel like i was mistreated based on the color of my skin being Caucasian they all being of African American decent.. now im still in Agony and have no "anchor" teeth for a partial denture...

I got a refund after informing the practice that I wasn't informed of this procedure beforehand. Apart from this, Doctor Seri's advice to use my custom-made mouth guard turned out to be very helpful--she kept forgetting that I already had one and was suggesting that they make one for me, but she allowed herself to be corrected when I told her I had one already. I also took offense to some things the hygienist said, even if she was comforting at times and gave me very helpful suggestions for home care. She even told me "you don't have a bad mouth" which relieved my anxieties. All in all, it's an okay clinic but a little big.

Today is December 27, I originally wrote this review the day after the Trumatic procedure happened…read morebut I was advised to hold off until I put a claim in with my insurance company and with the Better Business Bureau and the department of dental whatever whatevermoved here from the Seattle area, I'm doing this review while it's fresh on my mind and while I am not happy I'm still going to try to be fair, upon entering the facility it was kind of like an older home turn into an office, the receptionist although she was absolutely wonderful on the phone very courteous and very professional you could tell she was new to the business. Several questions were asked of me repeatedly which I had no problem answering repeatedly. Keep in mind I have been doing dental care standard and Perio for over 20 years I could actually do all this work on myself by now if I had the tools. Anyway I was on my way to my dentist appointment when I realized that I had not put my wallet in my purse, so the first strike is against me as I was 20 minutes late but I did call them and she did tell me don't worry about it because you have paperwork to do and that the Dentist is not here anyway? Number one. I got there and proceeded to do the paperwork as the receptionist spoke to me again she was very nice but you knew she was new and she did admit to that as she did not have my paperwork ready for me to fill out and on top of that she couldn't find it. It was 3:25 PM before the dentist showed up and I didn't leave the dentist until 5:45 PM. The receptionist took me to the room, the chair had several rips in it, and I could tell that her equipment was rather antiquated. OK so the conversation that me and the receptionist had tells me that she came from the school district which is what I do for a living myself, so I know again her being new to this that that is all she knew or was learning about the dental industry, but get this ..she comes in to put my bib on and to administer the numbing gel and in my head I'm thinking wait a minute what's going on here? Turns out this doctor does not have a dental hygienist. This is when I knew I should've pivoted and ran. But no instead I decided to put my big girl panties on and pray for the best. Unfortunately it all goes downhill from there. Hey you know what? when I think about it when they told me over the phone that they did not have the nitrous gas I should've hung up then, so you know what? I'm going to chalk this up as MY fault but I'm still going to give you the truth of the matter. Anyway the receptionist/hygienist (is that even legal ? is she even allowed to do that ?) anyway side note: It's 6pm and the numbing is wearing off and I can't take any more meds cause I took two Advil's before the appointment. So I'm home now drinking a wine cooler. My mouth is throbbing in pain. Seriously . The doctor starts talking to me about going back to school to learn to do perio care She then she give me the real anesthesia with the long needle and the tears shot out of my eyes and my back arched up so far. I'm thinking don't scream don't throw up. When she pulls the needle out I gather myself and start breathing then immediately told her that she is not doing the other side. She half ass apologized and asked the receptionist to chart (number) my pockets... she got yelled at because her writing is to fancy with curves so she can't read the numbers and they were on the wrong tooth on the chart she then proceeded to do it herself.. soooo I'll be in 5pm traffic now ? great. PEOPLE you cannot make this stuff up, you just can't!! Anyway there's so much more but the pains getting to me so anyway the 1 star is because the receptionist was nice. Our appointments were confirmed the day before (by Deborah), yet when we arrived we were told we weren't even on the schedule and had to be added. On top of that, our 8:00 AM appointments--the first appointments of the day--weren't even being taken back until around 8:15. They didn't pull ANY patients back until 8:15. Later, as I was signing forms for my son it became clear that the girl with the consents had no idea what procedures my kid was having. Glad I'm an ICU nurse and just so happened to not need her guidance or help knowing wtf was going on. Then, later still, I was getting my kids records from an EXTREMELY nice girl at the front desk while Deborah continued to be a nuisance to the workplace. Someone walked up asking to make a payment on some braces and Deborah was like you're gonna have to go over there. Then the people act "over there" were like "no... We're so sorry but Deborah will be checking you out ". Deborah had made an assumption that the dude was working specifically with one of the other staff. That's fine. Miscommunication happens all the time. However, Deborah then proceeded to gaslight the rest of the staff and state "I'm so sorry they keep throwing you around". She also had a very standoffish attitude and would not acknowledge that any of the staff were speaking to her or communicating with her at all. She requested information for the man checking out in another employee, looked it up and handed it to her and said "here's the information on that patient." she ignored that person and like five minutes later I told the dude who was still standing there waiting... To go sit down until she got the information. The other staff came back out and asked why the man was still waiting and tried to tell Deborah again that the information was sitting right next to her and Deborah continued to ignore her. I even tried to tell Deborah twice myself that the information was there. She was making that person wait for no reason at all. It was also sooooo clear the other staff are EXHAUSED dealing with deborrah's bs. Also. As it turns out. Deborah is the one who does the phone call calls to confirm appointments... Which makes so much sense why my appointment didn't exist when I got here. I've also brought foster kids here in the past whose appointments have been nonexistent. So this is not a new issue for today. I've been to Franklin dental many times. Every single time has been a miserable terrible experience. Today is the day that I actually post a review of the facility because I feel there is something they could do to fix the problem. They need to fire Deborah. Obviously.

They use old equipment because the drill broke in my mouth and I swallowed the burr. They sent me to the hospital to get it taken care of and never offered to pay for the cost that I incurred from the incident. I am still being monitored today and have costs from this incident. But they were sure to collect their money I owed to them. The dentist called me, but I felt it was only because he wanted to know if I wanted to get council for what happened. When I called after leaving the hospital I asked questions and the receptionist stated she could not help and never even offered to see if the dentist could answer my questions. I have suffered further medical bills, and they did not care or offer to pay for the care I needed due to their negligence. So we google dentist and ask around and a friend recommended AFCD to us. We have been using ever since (4 years now). Everyone is always very friendly, knowledgeable, considerate, and they go out of there way to help you. My teen children and I are always taken care of. They remember us when we come for our checkups. My hygienist takes amazing care of me. My teeth and gums are overly sensitive and she makes sure to be gentle but thorough! Love Love Love everyone here, they treat us better than family!!
