Wow!! That's one way to put how I feel about my results. In fact that's the only way I can sincerely express how I feel. I don't like to go to dentists. I hate having someone rooting around in my mouth. I was seriously considering canceling my appointment all the way up to my arrival time. I had a chipped tooth. No one noticed it but me. So why bother? As Doctor Chris told me before he started, "Mine was the only opinion that mattered. Only I needed to be happy with my results." I always feel good when I walk into a place and they immediately recognize me and greet me by name. That's my number one feel good thing. "Hello Mr Weston". Next I was met by Michelle and escorted to the doctor's office. She immediately started prepping me while keeping a low key conversation going. You find yourself talking about a lot of somewhat intimate things when you're relaxed and comfortable. The doctor came in and continued the prep work. Finally we're ready to go. The drill cranks up and the doctor's talking both to me and his assistant. He tells me "you're gonna be happy when I'm done; you're gonna be real happy when you see this." Overall, I was in the clinic for about a half hour; 30 minutes. And to say I was happy is a gross understatement. He gave me a mirror when he was done and all I could do was say "wow". It looked far better than my teeth had ever looked. Simply stated; I was extremely well satisfied with my results. I'm seriously looking for other things I've put off doing for years that I can have done now and have reasonable expectations of happiness afterwards. Oh, I didn't mention the pain I experienced. I saw Dr. Michael Oneil at this practice. This dentist was unable to diagnose a broken tooth after several visits and a very visible abyss. I saw a local periodontist who was able to do so withing a few minutes. I trusted Dr. Oneil to do an extraction, after he assured me he was able to save me on cost of a dental implant that was recommended by the other dentist. Stupid me, I trusted Dr. Oneil to do the extraction and subsequent implant. About two months later went back to Dr Oneil for follow-up and implant, that's when he told me it was not possible and he recommended a dental bridge. I went for second and third opinion, where both dentists diagnosed broken tooth left over from the botched extraction. In both cases, the broken teeth had to be removed before anything else could take place. They both had no problem with doing an implant after the extraction. I had the extraction completed by one of the other dentist and the implant completed on the same day. Can you imagine having a dentists who could not diagnose a broken tooth and then recommending a bridge over an extraction where broken teeth was still in place. That was my experience. SO THANKFUL FOR AN HONEST SECOND OPINION! After my hometown dentist of 15 + years stopped taking my insurance, I was terrified to find someone new. So much so, that I put it off for 3 years! When it came time to schedule a routine cleaning and checkup I did not know where to begin. As most people, do I found a list of providers online through my insurance carrier. I selected the office closest to my home and hoped for the best I take pride in my teeth, regularly brushing, flossing, and using mouth wash, so you can imagine I was in shock when the dentist came in and told me I had gum disease and needed root planning at 24 years old! He also told me that I needed a root canal and crown on a molar that hadn't been giving me any trouble! After undergoing a painful deep cleaning and reviewing the $2,500 proposed treatment plan, I knew I needed a second opinion. I requested my x-rays be sent to Dr. Craig Taylor, and after his thorough examination I was please and mortified to find out that that I needed none of the treatment suggested by the first dentist. This was my first visit to the practice and the young lady who spoke to me about an appointment was so kind and helpful and I was given a date which was much sooner than expected. My husband and I were so pleased with everyone we came in contact with there. Brandi, our hygienist was wonderful and friendly. She felt I had a problem with one of my teeth that Dr. O'Neal needed to check so she called him in. It was indeed something that needed immediate attention and he worked me in the very next day. I have been here twice now and love it! The ladies at the front desk are very helpful and always smiling and the hygienist Debbie was such a sweetheart. She did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth and making me feel comfortable. The dental assistant Teresa made my numerous x-ray scans fly by with her charming talk of family and her love of the local area. Last but not least, Dr. Chris gave me wonderful advice to sleep with a mouth guard to prevent further teeth clenching at night.After only a few days of using it, I am sleeping so much better now. I even recommended a mouth guard to other family members who also clench their jaws or grind their teeth at night! I highly recommend this dentist office. Dr. Chris Miller is an excellent dentist! My daughter had four wisdom teeth removed at one time. She was not put to sleep, only "laughing gas" and injections were used to numb her mouth. Dr. Chris completed the procedure within 40 minutes from start to finish. No oral surgery needed!! My daughter was able to manage her pain with liquid Motrin, the holes clotted the same day and she was up and moving around the same day. No serious facial swelling at all, just slight puffiness. So glad that I did not listen to others who told me that oral surgery was the only way. Dr. Chris did an excellent job! The only thing that I would have liked was a print out of the aftercare just to make sure that we did not do anything to hinder the healing process. Highly recommend! read more

This is is a wonderful dental practice. I was taken as an Emergency Patient. The staff put me at ease & made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. After Dr. Chris examined me, he told me my tooth had abscessed. ( I had been in pain for 5 days). Dr. Chris & his staff were genuinely concerned, they all showed kindness and compassion. My cleaning appointment is always excellent, professionally. Today, the hygienist was superb: It was the second time w/Ms. Delia in 3 yrs. Learned a new technique to ensure that I don't have a hard time trying to reach "hard-to-reach places", explained in a way that I thought I understood, which will probably be of extreme value as I continue to age: Can't afford to lose my teeth for any reason. Dr. Chris and his team worked me into their busy schedule on short notice, to check the possible source of a minor ache in my jaw. After two quick x-rays and a careful exam by Dr. Chris, he reassured me that there was no underlying problem (for example, an old root canal acting up) and all that was needed was a switch to toothpaste for sensitive teeth due to gum recession. Consequently, I was able to depart on planned travel with no worries. I have been a patient of Dr. Miller for about 35 years. Tracy has been my hygienist for probably about thirty of those years. She is the best! I am always treated like family with the most delicate and diligent care and treatment for cleanings, crowns, and every other oral/dental matter that comes up. When I go to a grocery store, or any store, I will ALWAYS stand in the wrong line, the one that moves at glacial speed. But I hit the motherlode when I chose the dentist for my very painful tooth. Called in the morning, was filling out paperwork by 12:30 and had Dr. Joe Miller expertly taking care of the situation an hour later. His down home friendliness, as well as that of his assistants and office personnel, made me feel surrounded with people who cared for me, the neighbor, not the patient. I'm new to Colombus, I'm 23 and I'm SUCH a nervous wreck in dental offices. (Honestly, any medical/physical experience for me is stressful). They were all so sweet and even soothing as I sat in the chair and the doctor was the sweetest man. He had suggested novacain but I asked if we could just do the drilling with out it, and he complied. The assistant held my hand and the doctor was really friendly and gentle. I really love this place! Everyone is always so friendly, helpful, and considerate. It was chilly in there and the hygienist even gave me a blanket to use while I had my procedure! Talk about sweet! I initially was just going to have a cleaning, but they fit me in the same day for my composite work, which was nice. The lady that did my cleaning had me laughing the whole time! Dr. Chris Miller has been my dentist for 6 years or so. He and his staff are all friendly, professional and efficient. Making time to go to the dentist isn't something any of us want to do but since we have to it may as well be a pleasant experience. Every time I come in for an appointment I'm never asked to wait for very long and once I'm in the chair their process is smooth and expedient. Great staff, clean office, and quick service but I didn't like that the dentist kept getting on me about waiting so long sense my last visit to come in and work on my teeth after I clear stated I couldn't because of funds. Its bad enough I had to deal with 2 years of pain let alone have someone get on to me for being broke. Dr. Joe Miller is by far the best dentist I have seen. Before seeing Dr. Miller, it was not unusual for be to only see a dentist once every 5-10 years because of the pain and discomfort. I have since had several procedures done by Dr. Miller and he ensures that I'm both physically and mentally comfortable, and unlike past dentists, I feel no pain when Dr. Miller is working on my teeth. My only reservation on suggesting Rivertown Dental Care, is if too many people start going here, it will be harder for me to get an appointment. read more
