If the beach won't allow young kids to have air flotation devices then why are lifeguards allowed to throw baseballs in the water?

Going to offer a bit of a different review here…read more I've only ever been to Mirror Lake Public Beach in the winter. Covered in a thick blanket of snow, the surface of the frozen water indistinct from the shoreline itself. It acts as a wonderful launching point for all the things Mirror Lake has to offer in this season. Easily walkable from Main Street and nearby street parking, the beach area is nestled near to the toboggan shoot. Benches are a welcome convenience, especially when you have ice skates in tow. I brought a backpack to carry my boots in case I wanted to prematurely exit the ice before looping back to the beach itself but most folks left them near to this seating without issue. The frozen waters just off shore host a couple small areas for ice hockey and an entrance point to the lengthy pathway visitors may use to walk the perimeter of the icy surface. Beautiful views of the church as well as the expanse of the lake. A place you can sit, watch, and enjoy the scenery... or join in yourself!

I love Mirror Lake!…read more I've been coming here for years; I love swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding here. It's one of favorite places to go. If you haven't been here you should check it out. There's a beach area but there are also buoys if you're training for an Ironman or looking for lap swimming :) There are nearby restaurants and shops, and public restrooms and changing areas located on the beach too.

Kent pond is a small pond that has some stunning foliage views where you can actually kayak or…read morecanoe. Great in fall but the water is cold. A Lil further down the street where you can actually walk or drive to is the water fall. A really short hike to the falls has small creeks and/or brooks along the way. The fall is pretty tall and if you want to be adventurous enough you can try going off the trail. I believe thos is part of the Appalachian trail.

If you come when it's frozen, you can ice skate or tobagganing ($5 for kids and double the cost for adults). They have a 30 foot ramp/chute that tobaggans can go on. It looks scary to me but I am sure it's fun for those adrenaline junkies and brave tobagganers. In the summer you can canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddle-board. Ironman competitions take place here too. There are fun ducks and seagulls to look at around the lake. It was more boring during the time that I came since it was too late for summer lake activities and too early for winter lake activities.

This was a severe hardship for northern Vermonters, since Montreal was closer than other markets in the US. Many local people continued illegal trade with Canada, herding cattle and carrying other goods through the Notch. Later, fugitive slaves used the Notch as an escape route to Canada. During the Prohibition years, liquor was smuggled from Canada over the improved road built in 1922. My mother and I just rode through and it was miles of the park with different areas to explore. The we're many hikers and explorers out. All I can say is the mountains are beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. I would definitely want to come back in fall to see the trees change colors.

There's 2 different sections: the food station is outside at the back side outdoors has lots of casse croute options: you get fries, poutine burgers and light snacks I believe it's the same owners of Patate & Persil .. check out my review from them they're super good too. At the bar section: theres famous cocktails sangria, bloody marry and lots of more drinks .. it is quite pricey not going to lie 2 drinks was around 31$ but it was very nice and tasty ... You can also bring your own drinks and food if you like they're just street vendors and don't own the establishment Overall, It's a beautiful place to gather around and totally worth checking it out.
