US Bank messed up their own records and couldn't figure out how to fix the problem. That was pretty hard to put up with - having to suffer through their unique balance of ignorance and incompetence. To cap it all off Jason (the manager?) who "helped" me, wouldn't cash his own bank check that he had just given me; bank policy to protect them from a bad check. Yes, that's right. They wouldn't cash their own bank check because they were afraid it was a bad check , 5 minutes after writing it ON THEIR ACCOUNT!! That was after his confusion about who to make the check out to. "Estate of Customer Standing in Front of me" was his first choice. I pointed out that because I was alive, writing it out to my estate really didn't make sense, did it? I had asked him to give me cash. He said he didn't hear me ask for cash, plus it was bank policy not to give out cash when closing an account. This all started because US Bank sent me a letter saying they were going to close the account due to inactivity and send the money to the state of TN. I tried a few times to get this worked out on the phone, but no one on the phone could figure out what to do. So I stopped in a branch, just to find out no one at the branch knew what to do either. Like I said. Bank elsewhere. Learn from my misfortune. You will thank me later.

I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY…read more Blankenship's first task was to file a 941X. They made a significant error on the form, involving a simple subtraction of two numbers. This has now been magnified into a situation where we've been threatened by penalties from the IRS/SSA. We should have received a refund on Q1 2021 and as a result of the mistake, the IRS believes we owe. Over six months ago, I was promised a refund from Blankenship for the work related to this issue. Still to this day, after multiple requests and reminders, Blankenship has not issued this refund. When I ask, they reply "I'm sorry the refund has not processed." I've waited long enough to make this review and cannot wait any longer. This is without question the most unprofessional experience and worst service I've ever received from any lawyer, accountant, etc. in my life.
